Holy Flax!! Amy Ryan To Appear In Eight Season-Seven Episodes Of NBC's THE OFFICE!!

I am – Hercules!!
“Office” bigwig Paul Lieberstein tells zap2it that Amy Ryan, who may or may not have played Michael Scott’s One True Love way back when, will return for no fewer than eight episodes in the coming season of “The Office” (said to be the last for Steve Carell).
This will more than double the overall "Office" episode count for Ryan, who appeared in the final season-four episode and six season-five episodes.
She sat out season six.
From zap:
Season 7 will find Jo making good on her promise to Michael, but "Holly is not happy at all about coming back to Scranton." She's built a pretty good life with boyfriend A.J. (Rob Huebel -- Lieberstein isn't sure yet if he'll return as well) and doesn't want to leave it.
Leiberstein reveals other details about the seventh season, including the introduction of Jo’s son, Andy pursuing theatrical ambitions and Michael discovering he has VD.

She was annoying, but cute. I don't want to watch Michael Scott be annoying yet cute with a girl. I want The Office to be funny. I don't want characters falling in love, That's... not funny.
-
Something fishy is goin on here, the original talkback posts seemed to have joined the Lifestream...
-
And her character is so phonily written to be a perfect match for Michael. I'd rather he end up with Jan or Carol or anyone else.

Glad she's back and if she ever tries to fucking leave again
by redbull_werewolf
I'm a tie her to the bed and set this house on fire
-
Actually, I don't even know her. But she kicks ass!
-
Vampire Diaries joke bad juju.
-
I thought Michael should go on a date with the female equivalent of himself and be completely turned off by the things she says and does.
-
Look it up!
-
Man, the Office has some of the homeliest looking women on TV.
-
Of course Michael Scott will end up with his true love before he leaves the show. This storyline needed to be wrapped up.
-
I would loike to see Michael go through some real harsh (but funny) times this season, but find some happiness at the end and still go out on a high note. I think of David Brent in the last special of the BBC version.
-
Love this woman. LOVE.
-
She's ugly.
-
The Internet is a sad sad place. Anyway, I'm happy that she's coming back to the show. I thought she was a good match for Michael.
-
Gone Baby Gone, Season 2 of The Wire, just to name a few parts...

Disclaimer: I love the character of Holly (and by extension, Amy Ryan's depiction of her). I ALSO think it will be fun to see Michael react to Holly coming back but not with open arms. That makes it much less predictable. I could see it going either way; she's moved on which causes Michael to move on, or they end up truly in love and ride off into the sunset or something. However, this makes the journey there MUCH more interesting as you have Holly more-or-less forced back to Scranton resentful of Michael throwing a huge monkey wrench in her life without her input, and yet obviously still having some feelings ala. the Lecture Tour episodes. I would not be surprised if they have some interesting bumps along the way. As for Amy Ryan's appearance. I think she is cute, but really? IT DOESN'T MATTER! She's a good actress, and Holly is a fun role, that is all that I care about. -Cheers
-
The show has been so-so the last several years but Michael needs to end up with her. She really is a perfect match for that fool haha.
-
What with Big Bang Theory moving to Thursday night and NBC offering the dim bulb 'Outsourced' comedy, there's going to be major shuffling by January.

Does the guy who plays toby reveal why the show went off kilter?
by therootstheroots
it's all good talking of the future, but the present is what counts, and at the moment the office has been crap.
-
...she's got a secret and even
if she told you what it was you'd
lack the depth to understand.
I'm sure you meant talented and special. I'll watch season 7 now.
Well played, you pathetic, desperate, clutching your last vestige of life network you. -
You really do have shit taste in television
-
The Office is STILL the best sitcom on television. Community is cute. Modern Family is sweet. I even like Cougar Town. But The Office is the greatest sitcom of all time.
-
I'm with you, man. I still love this show (not sure if I'd call it the best sitcom of all time, ever, but still). I love this show and hope they end it with dignity (i.e. they don't jump the shark by trying to keep the show going after Carell leaves). Looking forward to this season!
-
It's "The Office" NOT "America's Next Top Model." They're not supposed to be super models. That said, Jenna Fischer can range from cute-to-pretty, Rashida Jones was smokin' hot, and Melora Hardin is pretty, and Rashida Jones is cute-yet-still-gorgeous. Still. It's a mockumentary about an office. -Cheers
-
First, I still really like The Office. That said, to me it's lost a bit of its steam. Jim & Pam are together, they need to find something more interesting to focus on. It's possible, but that major part of the show is kind of set. We were kind of given foreshadowing that Dwight & Angela will hook up again, and Nard-Dog and Erin will end up together. They can still make it funny, but the uncertainty that drove the show for so long has kind of been resolved and they have not really built something as integral and driving to replace some of them. After Steve Carrell leaves, I'd imagine it will be less appealing. The main reason I agree with you though is that it is NOT in my opinion the greatest sitcom of all time. It's very good, but right now I think Parks & Recreation is better, and while at its best nothing comes to mind as being better, it is just sometimes a bit uneven and not quite "the best." I do still like the show, just not THAT much, and think it's lost a step here and there. -Cheers
-
And then ask for seconds. Yes, she's not like fucking the Transformers broad but she's an attractive gal for sure.
-
You got that greatest sitcom thing right at the end, there: Cheers!
-
you give us this but still no mention of Amber Tamblyn joining House MD - way to stay on top of things!
-
She belongs to fans of The Wire, all you other fucks back off!
-
The office past its prime a long time ago.
-
and as about as original too at this point. House getting better at rehab should have been a very special finale, instead of an awesome entry in a horrible season.
-
I might take what you said about House losing his mojo with more than a grain of salt if it wasn't on the TB for the Office, definitely a shell of it's former self. Besides, wether you like House or not, Joan of Arcadia is joining it, that has to at least rank a mention if we're going to get a story about a cast member on the Office two seasons ago being a cast member again.
-
the greatest sitcom of all time? Not even of the last 30 years, as I guarantee you the last ep. of the Office won't garner anywhere near the numbers the last eps. of Seinfeld, the Cosby Show, Cheers, or Mash did. Seriously, the Office USED to be excellent. Now it's just good. Modern Family has more laughs per ep. than current eps of Office do.
-
None of the chicks on this show can be considered hot. Sure, I'd fuck most of 'em, but that isn't saying much. I'm a guy and I'm drunk.
-
I still overall liked the past couple seasons a lot. I can see the complaints, and there were some slow points or character arcs I didn't necessarily love. Still, personally I LOVE the show and love Hugh Laurie and really felt for House in the season finale. Sure, they got him with Cuddy, but they really put him through Hell to get there and up to the very breaking point. Seeing him that raw and finally being honest and open with himself, much less others, and relating to the patient that then died in a manner that left him hopeless to even try to help. The fact it left such an impact on me speaks volumes about how good . . . scratch that, incredible, it is to me. But I'm biased and have a total man crush on Hugh Laurie, so take that however you will. -Cheers
-
and yet I've never seen an episode. Christ, They move it so much.
-
Dude, if this ain't a hot chick, then I don't know what is. http://tinyurl.com/29xjzku
-
WORD my brother. W-O-R-D.
-
for doing an entire episode discussing whether Hillary Swank was hot or not.
-
I don't know HOW I missed that he played her boyfriend last time. And I'm a big Huebbel fan.
-
Scott's Tots was in the most recent season, and I still stand by the claim that this is maybe the best episode.
-
Seriously, this show has its moments but it is SO FUCKING SLOW-PACED it gets painful to watch. The commercials are far funnier than the actual show! Its like everyone is half-asleep on the show or something. I don't know, I want to love it but can barely tolerate it!

...I posted the last post yesterday and the only post after that is a SPAM post! LOL!

at guys who say girls who are obviously hot are not. It's sort of the same deal as when people say something isn't hard to do, when it obviously is. It's a passive aggressive attempt to self-promote, and it's pretty sad.
-
I couldn't give a shit about the Office. I was talking about your referring to Amy Ryan as "the 24 girl" because surely she couldn't be in anything else?
-
Yeah season 7 was dull, there were some high points. The gossip ep was somewhat funny.
The show really hit its high point for me during season 4-5, with Jim moving to stamford and the assmilation back to Scranton. Mhy favorite episode was "Goodbye Toby" which introduced Holly Flax. Holly thinking Kevin was mentally challenged had to be the funniest thing that show has ever done.
And Sunny is the best sitcom on tv.
Plus can anyone explain how Big Bang is so funny? It's slightly humorous but I've never sat down and laughed my ass off like I have with shows like the Office -
I saw a clip somewhere that played a scene from The Big Bang Theory without the laugh track. It sent a clear message.
-
of Amber Tamblyn joining House. Although it is, for some reason, in the article about NBC's premiere dates (below the one below this one).
