Today’s Joker is old school in the Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day!

Published at:  Jul 15, 2010 12:31:56 PM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!

I have one more clown picture to throw at you, but this is the last Joker. How could I feature Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson and not include the first Joker performance from one Mr. Cesar Romero.

This picture is interesting as it also features a few notable guests. To Romero’s right is Adam West out of suit, but pimping it in a bathrobe and to West’s right is Mr. Jerry Lewis. Weird, right? But that stuff happens. I was also sent a picture of the Blues Brothers hanging out with Tommy Chong… these weird cross-overs happen from time to time and when I can find photographic evidence of them I’ll make sure to share.

Here’s the pic:

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare, the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here.

Got one more like picture that’s as hot as curry. See you tomorrow for the next one!

    A few Bat-corrections...

    by misterblue

1- Mr. Romero was apparently bi-sexual - he had a long affair with Joan Crawford and was known as quite a latin-lover around Hollywood in the golden era, with both genders. 2- The 1960s BATMAN TV show is not on official dvd yet because of multitudiness rights issues: the original contracts with all the guests and window cameos were only for tv airings (this is why it still shows up in syndication) - to bring them to DVD would mean negotiations with ALL the estates of those people, a herculean task. They are however available on bootleg DVD on the web. Adam West got tired of waiting to do the audio commentaries so he made a dvd of his own memories of each episode in chronological order - it can be purchased on his website. 3- there are apparently a precious few private copies of THE DAY THE CLOWN DIED around - Harry Shearer of the SIMPSONS claims he was shown it, but won't say where and by whom (maybe Jerry himself?)

Bats and Joker is easy and now the actors, who have played them before perfectly, are old enough to play them at that DKR timeline: Batman - Michael Keaton. Joker - Mark Hammil. And my personal pick for Carrie/Robin - Emma Stone. Somebody make that movie, quick!
