Doug Liman (THE BOURNE IDENTITY, MR. & MRS. SMITH, JUMPER) is attached to direct the moviefication of THE LAST OF THE TRIBE: THE EPIC QUEST TO SAVE A LONE MAN IN THE AMAZON, a non fiction book by Monte Reel (available HERE). Presumably, that insanely awkward title will be changed 'cause I don't think they could squeeze more than half of those words onto one poster.

Reel, the South American correspondent for the Washington Post, chronicles the search for the last surviving member of an Amazon tribe from the perspective of the government agents charged with both verifying his existence and preserving his way of life.

...says Variety HERE. Mark Bailey is adapting the book and will also serve as an Executive Producer on the picture. I can't imagine this picture ever being made by mainstream Hollywood as it's actually about something.
