Austin Geeks!! The Local IMAX (May) Want You!!

Merrick here...
The folks down at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum IMAX pointed us towards a cool job opening they thought AICN readers might get a kick out of - "Movie nuts are welcome here!" were their exact words, actually. In short, this gig is for a part time projectionist down at the IMAX. My understanding is that part time probably means approx 20-30 hours a week at somewhere around $13-$14 an hour starting wage. As an IMAX worshiper, this is an opportunity I'm seriously tempted to apply for myself. You can learn more about both preferred and essential qualifications HERE. That's a State website as IMAX folks down at the Bullock are apparently State employees. Be sure to read through the information carefully before applying. My buddy Pat, a projectionist down at the Bullock IMAX, maintains a website HERE - where you can learn more about things IMAX (including frame counts of various movies screened via IMAX!?). You can see his cool motorcycle there as well. The Austin IMAX contingent has been very good to AICN, and our site hosting future screenings there seems almost certain. This would be a very interesting way to be a part of it all, as well as Geek out while mastering the finest moviegoing presentation there is. All the information you need to know is available through either the State site, or Pat's site, linked above. Please don't write us with questions because, beyond what's on this page, we know nothing. Best of luck, and have fun!
