    Maintaining cautious optimism...

    by wldmk

While I wasn't exactly blown away by last week's eps, it seems like the show is slowly returning to its pre-cancellation form...

    by dk1138

I felt the second episode was stronger than the first, but more Futurama is wonderful! Thankyou Comedy Central!

The two new EPs were pretty good...

    by d_t

...definitely has a good Futurama vibe and they were much better than the movie format (it just works much better 30 minutes at a time).

    Herc, any data...

    by d_t

...on how it did ratings wise? I don't recall if it was in your regular coax TV updates[?]

    It did well ratings-wise

    by hercules

Hit a 1.6, tying with Royal Pains and Burn Notice as the night's top cable series in 18-49. Huge for Comedy Central.

    What a great story

    by tall_boy66

Because this video is entirely avilable to only Americans. So that basically makes this entire post read "I AM HERCULES! - Videos for Comedy Central are available on the Comedy Network website in Canada" (Psst - Comedy Network doesn't host or show Futurama so we can't see the clip) "10 p.m. Thursday. Comedy Central."
Holy crap, thaks for the info!

    itunes censored

    by brechtsky

the hypnotoad opening had different dialogue in the itunes version, removing all statements about the networks being stupid ... pathetic censorship, these idiots cant take a joke (and a bad one at that)

This one clip packed in more laughs than the first two new episodes (with the exception of The Transcredible Exploits of Zapp Brannigan).

    by gotilk

me laugh. Those Mantees write well and remind me of the time.. I still watched the Simpsons, which is not AS bad now as some people say. But this season of Futurama is outstanding so far.

    by throwmetheidol

Better than ever. I'm sure others will disagree, to each his own. But it feels more "on track" than it used to, more sure of itself.

One new thing: naming current pop-culture

    by david cloverfield

It was Jared this week and CSI Miami last week. Sure they can have some 30th century incarnations. But the series didn't do that before like this.

    So wonderful...

    by danielkurland

This is exactly what Futurama was made to do, skewering technology and being clever and funny as hell. I also thought the CURRENT pop-culture references were out of place too, especially the CSI: Miami one last week, but I can look past it as it made me laugh. That being said, the joke probably would have had the same impact if they said something like CSI: Jupiter, or CSI: New Miami.

    And jokes like...

    by danielkurland

The Infosquito in general, and him looking up from the brain to say "I like it!" are PURE vintage Futurama. Was also a little surprised to see Flexo used as a throwaway joke, rather than a full plotline. Anyone else?
