Presenting the Winners of the Super7 Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun Give-Away

Ain't It Cool News is thrilled to announced the winner of our Super7 Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun give-away.
In an inspired bit of geek obsession cross-pollination, Super7 has brought out the Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun, a 24 inch tall Jumbo with free rotating wheels on the bottom of his feet, and a spring-loaded Rocket Punch firing fist. The polyethylene figure features a painted vinyl helmet, removable blaster and articulation at the neck and shoulders.
Our challenge was to capture the iconic white armored fellow in an incongruous setting or vocation. Like a dude dressed up in his armor and flipping burgers.

But yeah, that Stormtrooper is a huge pile of poop. Imagine what it will look like in a few years when the different plastic components gracefully age into various patinas of yellow-gray, similar the action figures in the promo shot.
Super7 Creatives: "Check out this huge Stormtrooper we made! It has wheels under its feet and three whole points of articulation!"
Super7 Sales: "Uh... it looks kinda... rigid and uncomfortable."
Creatives: "But it comes with a removable blaster and a spring-loaded Rocket Punch firing fist."
Sales: "The body and head seem to be made of different plastics. The body looks like polyethylene, maybe, but the head is definitely vinyl - wait, are the helmet features painted on?!!!"
Creatives: "Yeah, we ran out of polyethylene. Do you see how big this thing is?"
Sales: "This will NEVER sell. Unless... we call it the 'Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun' and then come up with some BS product description that claims we totally meant to make it this way. We can say it is an homage to crappy toys from Japan in the 70s, fused with a modern Star Wars twist. Kids LOVE mash-ups!"
Creatives: "OK, we can get started by making some wildly over-designed, and impossible to get into, packaging. After we throw in some foil stickers and number all 1500, we should be ready to ship."
Sales: "Who's got that contact over at AICN? They will pimp ANYTHING over there, and I have an idea for a promotion that can really generate some buzz."
Maybe bring your A-game next time, Super7. -

This toy is completely bad ass. It's a fusion of Star Wars and the Jumbo Machinder/Shogun toys from the 70's. It's for people who appreciate that not all toys need a million points of articulation, and the best ones of all are unique interpretations of the characters we love.
