A while back, we heard that Leonardo DiCaprio might play controversial FBI boss J. Edgar Hoover in a Clint Eastwood directed biothingie (HERE). Now it looks like that’s actually gonna happen.

one of my studio sources tells me now that Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play J Edgar Hoover in the still untitled biopic.

…says Nikki Finke and Mike Fleming at Deadline HERE. This is what the real J. Edgar Hoover looked like… Still no word on whether the film will delve into Hoover's rumored homosexuality and cross-dressing (not saying this to be incendiary - just mentioning it because folks have been asking).
