I think LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE might be very awesome!
Hey folks, Harry here... There's one shot in this trailer of an Owl's fur stained with blood. I'm getting a slight... dare I say... SECRET OF NIMH vibe off this film. Now we all know there's no hope of this being that cool... but then, it is Zack Snyder - and he tends to be pretty damn cool. Or, are we hating him these days. Whatever - I'm looking forward to this - and think Zack kicks ass!

Normally I love Pixar movies, but How To Train Your Dragon is a great film on nearly every level, and it has one of the best scores in recent years.

That trailer was actually pretty damn difficult to find, Harry.Holy crap that looks great! To me, anyway. Not sure about the owls that look timid or scared, though. Owls always look like they'd like to eat your face to me. And I HATE the 30 Seconds To Mars track in the trailer. I don't even hate the song, just hate it in the trailer. But the movie is a big hell yeah! That's the kind of animated escapist fantasy I've been waiting for.

Because even after I tried to hate HTTYD I ended up really digging that movie. But I'd be pretty incredibly shocked if a) I didn't like TS3 more, and b) the Academy gave a Dreamworks Animation film the Oscar over the Pixar release for that year. Seems even less likely if TS3 is as good as people are saying. Just don't see that happening.

Looks beautiful, and I love snyder. But pretty much all of the dialogue seems terrible, and the narration is really awful. Definitely interested though.

What exactly was wrong with Watchmen? The people who like it love it snd the ones who hate think it's a sign of the fucking Antichrist. The casting was great, the effects believeable, and the adaptation was very close to the source material- other than not having the giant squid thing, which even Alan Moore admitted was week. They still kept the meaning and intent of the ending tho. Not trying to negate anyone's opinion- just trying understand.

Snyder went with Nine Inch Nails in 300 trailer and Muse in Watchmen trailer. What is the crap playing in the background of this one? Images look amazing though.

I like the atmosphere of the trailer - very detailed emotes and vistas. The Happy Feet meets LotR vibe to the emotions actually works for me, but I think it should have stopped at the 1:20 mark. Strangely, the second half of the trailer goes out of its way to say "don't worry, it's just the standard hero's journey story, nothing new here".

I saw TS3 at Harry's screening on Monday (HARRY, WTF where is your review??) I will have to give the edge to TS3. I enjoyed How To Train Your Dragon way more than I expected, but Toy Story 3 was truly magical - and had a lot to prove.
I think all will be VERY surprised at how great TS3 is - it lives up to it's predecessors. -

If I have to take my nephew to a kids movie and I have to choose between Marmaduke,Smurfs,or the 3D Owl movie........I'm thinking the 3d owl movie about warrior owls might be better. I know I know your saying "Toy Story 3" but you bet your ass we will be seeing it opening weekend and if it's as good as it looks maybe a few other times. I'm just saying we all bitch about CGI shitfests and dumb remakes and when something new comes along we shit on it too. This doesn't lok that bad for what it is.

I though that they were really good. When reading it you will see there is a lot that can be done with owls. With Owls they tackled some of the harsher elements of the nazi's and the KKK called the Pure ones. There is a lot of good here and if the next three books get made you'll have another 300 type epic.
