Has The GHOST RIDER Sequel Found Its Director(s)??

Merrick here...
Sounds like The Powers That Be are closer to pulling together the GHOST RIDER sequel/relaunch/both/whatever it is. Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (official website HERE) appear to be in talks to direct the piece, currently subtitled SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE.
Nicolas Cage is in early negotiations to reprise his role as Johnny Blaze, a stunt motorcyclist who, in order to save the life of a loved one, makes a deal with the devil. His soul is twinned with that of a demon, and he becomes a flaming-skulled man driving a motorcycle from hell.
..says THR HERE. Mark and Brian wrote and directed both CRANK films, the little seen GAMER starring Gerard Butler, and authored the impending JONAH HEX movie (which the team left over some dreaded “creative differences.”) Despite their writing credit being retained on HEX, the final product, reputedly, varies substantially from the words N/T put on the page during their time on the project. How different is it? Stay tuned…we hope to have more specifics for you in the coming days. As you may’ve noticed above, Neveldine/Taylor tend to write the films they’re directing. No word yet on whether the duo would tweak an already existing script by David Goyer.
