A Few More Details About That STAR WARS Comedy Series!

Contrary to several EARLIER REPORTS, the recently announced STAR WARS comedy series won't be set after RETURN OF THE JEDI. MTV caught up with ROBOT CHICKEN co-creator Seth Green, who's working on the new SW project. He says this of the series' timeline:

"Timeline... I don't think anybody is really talking about that yet. But it's not post RETURN OF THE JEDI

Seth also indicated the new chuckle fest would be CG and "really funny" with "some recognizable characters." Hear it for yourself...

This is so exciting! Every time Lucas dives into comedy, it works out so well! Week after week of poodoo, outgassing, slapstick bots, racial stereotypes, and more! Hopefully, and presumably, Seth & Co. can rein in George's propensities towards...excess. Despite my misgivings about a STAR WARS comedy thing, I gotta say that...as a whole...I'm really digging the THE CLONE WARS stuff that's on TV and video at the moment. It's a more smartly conceived canvas, telling stories far more interestingly, than just about anything we saw in the live action prequels.
