I was just thinking the other day how awesome a character Les Grossman was. I hope someone puts together a whole movie based on Les Grossman. Or maybe he can be the corollary character of Sam Jackson's Nick Fury, appearing in 9 different movies! Peace be unto the Earth if something like this were to happen!

I don't know. I gave up on the Movie Awards a while ago.

    by redegiraahgnal

The last good one was the one with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jack Black and that was something like 10 years ago. The last one that I remember (and probably the last one that I bothered to watch) was the one with Jessica Alba. I still don't know how anybody could think it was hilarious to just let her pogo dance in front of King Kong.
I don't like Aziz Anzari. He even sucked in Scrubs and that's a show that is famous for making even lame guest stars like Brendan Fraser or Colin Farrell hilarious. So in case these Movie Awards won't suck, plesae tell me. I'm gonna watch one of the 50 million re-runs then. Thank you.

I think the guy's a pretty good actor. Sure, some of his performances aren't that memorable but some like Minority Report and The Last Samurai were damn good, and yes, even his Les Grossman role in TT. Can't wait to see what he'll be doing in the MTVMAs this year. I'm actually interested in watching it this year because there's actually one film in there that might steal the show from that piece-of-shite film New Moon (one of the main reasons why terrorists hate America), and that is Avatar.

    by orbots commander

I'm kind of past seeing the guy as 'action hero', but I do think he has great comic timing and competent 'straight man' (no pun intended) chops to do a broad Farrelly Brothers, Dumb and Dumber/Something About Mary type of laugh-fest. I think it'd be a huge hit.

    by jacksparasites

I love a lot of Cruise's movies and think he's extremely talented as an actor. But he's also a brainwashed cultist who no longer lives in reality. So I'm somewhat conflicted because I don't want to help him make more money that he'll just end up using to contribute to doing great harm to the world but he still can make great movies.

    by sithtastic

Tom Cruise's side antics with the Church of Scientology and comments related to are something I try my best to ignore, when considering him as an actor. He's a done a lot of damage to his credibility with all his off screen/interview sheenanigans. I have little doubt that somewhere along the line, Cruise himself--not his agent or a bevy of producers--awoke to the crude fact that many people considered him unprofessional and something of a joke. Doing more self-depricating and genuinely funny material like Les Grossman is a smart move, so that alone can be used to build new capital in his career and I hope he continues the streak.
