Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Big news just hit over at Borys Kitt's Heat Vision Blog. James McAvoy has signed to play young Charles Xavier. He's got the chops. I've been a big fan of his since seeing RORY O'SHEA WAS HERE at a film festival. So far the project is looking brighter than expected with McAvoy, Jane Goldman (scripting with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz) and Matthew Vaughn on board. Let's see who they can get to play young Magneto. If you're not up to date on the project, it's essentially a prequel that follows Xavier and Lensherr and their friendship before they became enemies. I'd love it if they kept in time continuity with the other movies and this was a period piece. Mutants kicking ass in the '60s? Then they can throw in a little Jack Kirby style, yeah? If only...
