Hey folks, Harry here - we just put out the following press release regarding how you folks can be a part of this first official Comic Con documentary. I've already been getting emails about it - but here's how you take part...
LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE COMIC-CON
Are you headed to the 2010 Comic-Con International in San Diego? Do you die for diehard fandom? Do you pine over Chris Pine, other Captain Kirks, or have firsthand knowledge of who is the ultimate Bruce Wayne? Is your Lost Ark a long lost collectible, an original edition comic book, a need to be the first in line at a sneak peak of Green Lantern, or to understand the ultimate and undeniable power of Akira?! Are you the original inspiration for comic book guy? Is your collection the biggest? Is your costume the best? Is your dream to propose to your girlfriend and give her the one ring to rule them all? Are you an artist who is showing off your work? A vendor showing off your amazing collection?
If you are any of these things, then we want to hear your story.
Oscar®-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, producer Thomas Tull, comic book icon Stan Lee, writer/producer Joss Whedon, and film guru Harry Knowles have joined together to bring audiences the feature-length documentary COMIC-CON EPISODE FOUR: A FAN’S HOPE – a documentary celebration of all things con-tastic!
We are looking to cast original, eccentric, funny, touching, and mildly obsessive people that will capture the excitement, enthusiasm, joy, and passion of comic book, anime, sci-fi, and fantasy lovers everywhere.
If Comic-Con International will be the highlight of your year and you have a story to share about your passion, let us know. Join the fellowship, take part in this epic documentary, and write us at ComicConDoc@gmail.com. Include your name, phone number, a picture, and tell us your story.

Every DragonCon I have ever attended is a blur! ...not to mention every Star Wars Celebration I have been to (I got to see George Lucas in Indy, and I got to lay slain at Olivia Munn's feet in a bit for G-4 in Los Angeles), every Star Wars Weekends, Vulkon, and Creation-con I have ever been to. It's where geeks go to party. I call DragonCon "Mardi Gras for Geeks"!

first i hear she played a sorta important-ish role in the movie. then i hear she went back to film a new character as they scrapped her previous work. i finally see the movie today and she has a tiny cameo as a reporter? so anyone know what her original role was and why it was scrapped?

article about this.search for Olivia Munn there.long story short: her original role had her in a lot of interaction with Tony which lead to a long,very sexy scene.Jon decided,since the film was pg13 that the scene was inappropriate,so they changed her original character to what she was irl: a reporter,and reshooted a new,smaller scene with her new character.thats all.

That's like more than half of them, I know, but you need one that has been clearly diagnosed by physicians as having Asberger's syndrome, and is trying to function in the world as a normal person, and find some joy, and his obsession with this geek stuff is his one shining light in his otherwise abysmal existence. It will give the documentary loads of free publicity from news outlets like CNN when they do health reports on diseases and stuff....a special report on Asberger's syndrome, by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and then they show a clip from this documentary. Think about it.

Plot is so painfully simple. The film writes itself. Track down and find the worst of the worst here. For example Asimovslives/Fuck MichaelBay. Find out where they live and drop in on them unannounced with the Celebutante and or Directosan they shit dump the most on in the talkbacks. So that person can selfdefend and shit dump right back on em. Think about it. You're going to find some real Freaks. Me I'm handicapped. I can explain why I'm here 24-7 with out a lick of shame, but some of these guys. You know they are the real mccoy when it comes to that "creepy freekdom"
That is the movie I'm dying to see Mr. Knowles. Expose some of these Haters for who they really are. -
Anyway, I think this is a great idea. If there is any piece of investigative journalism that happens throughout, I'd be curious to know how many tons of nerd poo get deposited into the Convention Center bathrooms.

this is coming from a guy who loved trekkies, liked super size me, and thinks spurlock is talented but no one is gonna be interested in a doc of the con of all cons, unless it goes heavy on making fun of geekdomnever mind that geek culture has conquered all, a large chunk of the movie will be devoted to finding the obsessive compulsives among us. however, if it takes that part to sell the movie, and a good portion of it gives some honor to guys like krueger and dorf (true giants of the con universe), then maybe it will be worth it
