The first look at the TRON video game pops up!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. AICN Games doesn't really exist any more, but as someone who occasionally likes to lose days in the virtual world I like to keep up the discussion a bit.
Especially when it comes to something like TRON, which is a project so married with gaming that this could easily double as movie news.
Gamespot has a video interview in advance of E3 that discusses the property, features stills from the game and talks about the dynamics of the virtual world. There's also hint at something interesting regarding both online and offline play.
The game is reported to bridge the gap between 1982 and 2010. From what I understand from my set visit this new Tron world was designed by Kevin Flynn in 1989 and isolated on his personal server, so I'd imagine that comes into play here.

The lightcycle sections are supposedly dull and uninteresting according to an IGN preview and the game as a whole has potential but needs to be cranked up a few levels.

Bay didnt like something she said about him. I was just remarking to a bud of mine how funny it is to see how they handled D-sons mom's absence in the follow up sequels too the Karate Kid. Dainel son always blurts out some random "Mom related quote that absolves her from needing make an apperance in the both sequels". He talks down about his girlfreind fucking up his ride and her falling love with some football player from ucla- and there you go that bitch didnt have have her acting role renewed for part 2. Still the lame mom is doing this or that shit gets me every time.

The Tron 2.0 video game for the PC is pretty fun. <p> The guy in the interview only listed XB360 and PS3 as supported platforms for the new game, so I guess I won't be playing (PC-only gamer here).

Like, at the beginning it's very 1982 TRON, and the imagery gets more colourful and higher-rez as we get closer to 1989.<p> Like, what if the game takes place while the Computer World is still a work-in-progress that Flynn is still tinkering with.<p> What if Flynn is trapped inside the Computer World BEFORE he was finished programming it, so there are unfinished bits.<p> Sorta like the blank spots you can sometimes find in World of Warcraft if you look hard enough (and before Blizzard closes the trails to the blank spots).

We can remember playing the arcade game Tron, back when the storied original film was released...it was an awesome game, and we even tried to locate one to buy it. I hope this game will reflect the vast improvements in technology and hope my computer can handle it!

The lead designer for this game. That's a great idea you have, and I'm sure we won't get anything like that. Doesn't matter for me anyways... I get motion-sick playing modern first-person games (yes, I am that much of a pussy).
