Looks like Ewan McGregor joins Terry Gilliam's THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Looks like Empire bumped into Terry Gilliam while at a party at Cannes and got a bit of a scoop out of the guy. I got the distinct impression that Gilliam was a bit perturbed at Johnny Depp for bowing out of THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE, but I similarly felt that Depp was nonplussed at Gilliam for assuming he would still be on board after the last attempt ended in disaster (and documented in the hard-to-watch, but in a good way, LOST IN LA MANCHA). We knew up to this point that Robert Duvall looked to be playing Quixote and now Gilliam told Empire that Ewan McGregor is stepping in to the role that Depp left vacant, that of a modern day advertising executive transported back to 17th Century Spain. I think McGregor and Gilliam will make an excellent team... and with a September start date for Don Quixote I guess that squashes the rumors of Ewan being Bilbo, yeah? Thoughts? -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
