Good to hear, Chuck is funny and fun
-
Wow as long as they kill "Heroes" then this will be OK.
-
I mean, it's on my list of series to do a season catch-up on. But I really didn't expect it to get renewed. Hopefully they've learned from this season and will speed things up a bit.
-
and Heroes got four shitty ones.
-
Chuck returns!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may lose 24 and Lost but I'll still have Chuck!!!! I'm still on the fence with V. I hate that they went the cheap way out and made their weapons freaking blades instead of lasers or something cool.
-
I'm about as shocked as everyone else regarding V. I wouldn't have been disappointed at all if it wasn't picked up. But I do guess Morena Baccarin's performance is worth picking it up for lol. That's the only reason I still watch it. The writing sucks, but it does have potential if they could pull it all together.
-
Unfortunately, it still is some interesting ideas on how to make V different and fresh from the original, but poor execution. It seems every week they introduce 2-3 new 5th Column members for the sole purpose to kill them off. They don't make the V's intentions remotely sinister or apparent enough to create any real threat. <br><br> Happy to see Chuck picked up even if this season was not quite up to par.
-
Oh well.

Heroes canceled too! (pumps fist Dwight Schrute style))
by Browncoat_Jedi
Good riddance to bad rubbish!
-
Granted, I liked the original premise they did with the mini-series from the '80's more than this one. With that being said, I think they're doing some interesting things with the current version, and I'm looking forward to see where it goes. I for one am very glad it's coming back! The only advice I'd give to the writers is, they HAVE to give the resistance more members. Having it be only the four of them every week is getting a little ridiculous. It is so rare to have any kind of Sci-Fi on TV, so count me as happy that we're getting more than one season from it.
-
maybe we'll get more  ‍‍‍‍<br>Jeffster!
-
I'm starting to enjoy V. Watched every episode so far. There are many shows I like more, but this show deserves another 13 episodes and I'm looking forward to seeing them. I'm sorry Heroes was cancelled, but seriously, someone checked out on that show a long time ago and it got seriously boring after the first season. They could have done so much with Heroes. Hopefully they will do it with that superhero family show that the Shield dude is in...
-
9:20PM from Nikki Finke of DHD: "6:20 PM UPDATE: Now I hear NBC will decide on 3 possible futures for Heroes, perhaps as soon as tomorrow. The most unlikely scenario is a 13-episode order for midseason. (creator Tim Kring is hoping for this scenario, of course.) A real possibility is that NBC cancels it altogether. But I'm told odds are best that NBC announces "some kind of climactic finale" for Heroes lasting 2- or even 4-episodes (back to back, over one- or two-nights) to air in midseason. <p> Even though Heroes' ratings are weak, it is a profitable show for NBC. It brings in the highest international sales of any of NBC's primetime series. It's the No. 1 most downloaded show overseas. Plus, it's a huge DVD seller both domestic and internationally. "What it's up against is that NBC's new team is trying to rebrand the network and give it a fresh look with new shows from J.J. Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer, and David E Kelley," an insider tells me. "Heroes doesn't fit in with that. But Heroes is a big brand by itself." If no decision is made tomorrow, then it's possible NBC may wait to decide the show's future after upfronts."
-
I was hoping V was going to end soon! Don't know why I keep watching the show? <P> Glad Chuck is coming back this by far has been its strongest season.
-
I looked for a webmaster contact... I didnt see one! HELP!
-
Good job on getting renewed! I would like to see marathons of both before the next season. I would like to get caught up! (no TIVO)
-
sci-fi show without a sci-fi budget. It's V without V. They've removed all the things from the original show that could potentially cost money - costumes, set pieces, laser effects, *lizard people*. And let's not forget suspense...
-
Chuck being renewed is ok, even with bad scripts that blonde is still hot.
-
...every episode got worse than the one before it.
-
...I've never met a single person who watches it (abysmal ratings seem to correlate with that observation) and it looks utterly juvenile and cheesy. Please someone explain how it gets renewed each season where better, even higher rated shows do not?
-
It just keeps coming back to torment us more.
-
Like they did this Season.
-
Cancel Law and Order -- which is still a great show -- and renew two complete pieces of trash. Chuck is self important, unlikable and boring. V is stupid, stupid and boring. These are terrible shows.
-
That chick chick is so hot....pity I have no idea what the hell they are trying to say in that show.
-
Over no genre shows. What the fuck. There's not that much else on. Every two or so fucking years syfy deigns to give us another six episodes of 'Eureka'. It's gotten to the point it's hardly worth waiting anymore. And waiting. And waiting. So, yeah. I'll watch 'Chuck'.
-
She found out on Twitter her show was canceled. How funny is that?
-
shocked that v got renewed
-
or could even explain what it's about. It's NBC's answer to 'Burn Notice'. Coming up next after 'Slowly Rotating Black Guy', it's an all new episode of 'Shrugging Jewish Spy'.
-
but they watch Heroes too, so I question their taste in TV.
-
CHUCK OWNS!!!!
-
CHUCK OWNS!!!!
-
Love me some Chuck!
-
But I agree with numerous postings, the writing has got to get better.
-
The writing for "V" has got to get better.
-
If they keep on the track they are on, it will be epic win. This is coming from a person who could not make it through the first few episodes when the show came back in March - So I don't say this lightly. The show has become really really good
-
It's like Farscape - you either enjoy the crazy ass adventure/drama/romance/humor or you don't. Bi-Polar kids without daddies are not the target Chuck audience.
-

Maybe LOST will end with hobbits and fried chicken
by CRISPIN_GLOVERS_ACID_FLASHBACK
It would be cool of the producers to explicitly state that the show is one big joke on the audience.
-
V has improved. But that's not saying much. It is in danger of repeating itself already (A new fifth column member! Oh, he's dead or kidnapped already. Forget about it).<br><br>The acting has certainly improved over the last few episodes. Would be nice to have someone bring up the question of 'WHY' the Visitors are there though.
-
But there's not enough to the general storyline to keep it going much more than that. Then again, Prison Break's 2nd season was pretty decent even though the show's premise seemed to limit it to one season, so who knows?
-
Chuck has really grown as a show - it's a lot of fun. I didn't expect to see V back, but I'm glad. It's a bit messy, but has some things going for it.
-
Even though Heroes is lousy, if it's profitable, keep makin' them. Leno sucks, but keeping him was the best financial decision. If NBC wants to "brand" itself, being "hip & new" isn't it. How about "good shows?"
-
The original V mini series was fun, and so was its sequel, but the original series spin-off not so good. So now we have the new series, and it is just great, and twisted at that. Too bad they didn't put it on HBO or Showtime so we could have nudity, sex, and cursing. It would have added to the adult, new Galactica inspired, atmosphere of the show.
-
...you mean they haven't already made that perfectly clear with Lost? If this week didn't prove it I don't know what will.
-
Sorry for Elizabeth Mitchell, but she really needs to find something more suited to her talents.
-
for only the retarded could truly enjoy watching that awful, cliched show
-
an allegory about the rise of the nazis<p> a show that even if it were made today, would resonate for the public<p> what exactly is the new show saying, other than the current show runner doesnt know shit about what makes good sci fi?<p> the acting is horrific, the scripts are poor, the dialogue cliched, the plot boring, the pacing is sleep inducing and the plot holes are large enough to shove fat harry through<p> so what about that fucking show is so damn good
-
The mercenary Hobbs is the only interesting character on the show. The Priest is okay too. Hopefully the finale will kick start the war and get things going for Season 2.
-
One of the best shows on TV currently! If you gave up early or never watched before, its time to start catching up now! SERIOUSLY!!!
-
if you remember, the premiere episode beat NCIS, the #1 show on TV! And if the network douchenozzles hadn't killed all momentum by taking it off the air for months because "they were afraid to go head-to-head w/the Olympics"-haven't they ever heard of counter-programming?-the ratings might've been a helluva lot better. Gotta give 'em points for renewing it though...just try not to fuck it up again, okay guys?
-
And then they should end it. Let it go out on top of itself.
-
is agreeable, as long as they make Chuck pussywhipped. It would be even better if they reset the board again in the finale, since Bakula is coming back.
-
fucking AICN.
-
but I am glad; I personally like the show, even with its flaws.
-
Just about everyone I know watches Chuck. It remains the only show I watch when aired. All others get the download treatment.
-
I think this should be the last season of Chuck. Wrap it up with an exciting season and tell everyone it is the end so things can get wrapped up.
-
please.
-
Slaps the shit out of her daughter and has her legs broken just to make her daughter look like a hate-crime victim to get public sympathy for the Visitors (I refuse to call them "Vs") from the hooomons.
-
On one hand, it's absolutely dire, banal, terribly made and cheap as all get out. I had to stop watching, it's just too bad. Even the original V's later television episodes, bad as they could be, pissed all over it - they were shit compared to the miniseries but man, they kick this V's ass. I was hoping it'd be cancelled so it wouldn't dilute the memory of a really great show anymore. That said, it's so fucking cheaply made it can't be costing much to make - Elizabeth Mitchell and Joel Gretsch's paychecks must be 98% of the overall budget and let's be honest, much though I like both of them, they're not exactly commanding massive salaries in the scheme of things. Morena Baccarin has never been a great actress, she was easily the weakest link of Firefly but fucking hell, she's awful in this. She's not helped by the terrible direction and the constant shots held on her face to impart her 'evil plotting'. They used to call V the series that wouldn't die, in the eighties. I really wish they called this the V that did die because it is mind-bendingly bad.
-
if in the 4th season of Chuck, he loses the Intersect, but then has to fake it in front of the others, and try to be a spy without all the intersect help.
-
but it's damn near the top of the list.
-
Justice has been served. The haters lost this battle big time. For months they campaigned to get V pulled from the air, but the fans stepped up to the plate and pushed for another season. That crappy FlashForward show deserves the ax, but V is going to be ABC's best show now that Lost is gone.
-
I'm super excited that CHUCK is coming back, if only for 13 episodes (but maybe NBC will order more like they did this season). V got real stupid, real quick. But the past few episodes have been a bit smarter. Right now V is on par with Season 2 of HEROES. Maybe it can climb to S1 HEROES level next season and hopefully become a smart and entertaining show (which HEROES never was) soon after that.
-
That was awesome! Love it!
-
There are at least 4 of us here!
-
And I agree with others here who stated that you either get it or you don't. I get it, and I love it. That is why you get people passionately trying to hold on to (and campaigning for) shows like Chuck. If you don't "get it" then that is your loss. To each his own. I find it wonderful escapism. Love me some Human Target as well. Just fun shows.
-
It's hard to judge her in V, though. The acting seems fine, but she has so little to work with.
-
...that seems hackneyed, overrated, and/or gets a ton of publicity. Like, for example, the Dark Knight. Got a ton of praise, had me pumped to see it, then I watched it and was incredibly bored and disappointed. And no, I didn't miss the point, considering its they discuss the morals of the movie in every other scene at length. Whats not to get? It was pretty straight-forward with its laughable messages. What about when everyone started name-dropping Twitter on TV? That pissed me off too. Never heard of it, and all of the sudden, seemingly overnight, every other commercial mentioned Twitter. I looked Twitter up and realized how stupid it was, how simplistic and unoriginal. (Facebook statues updates without any other features...real original, guyz.) Then we have that new talentless faggot hack, Justin Beiber running around, making millions for being a fucking untalented douche bag. If you're older than 14 years old, you should NOT be subjected to his horrible music; it should only be played on Nickelodeon and Disney channels. Sick of hearing of that talentless tool. What about Twilight? Queer vampires that glitter? When it first came out I face-palmed even more than when everyone seemed to masturbate over the Harry Potter books. Which I also hated, but Twilight makes Harry Potter read like Lord of the Rings. My point is, I've been hearing about 'Chuck' since all those self-important advertisements for season 1 were airing (and pissing me off). I noticed the previews had one thing going for them: the hot chicks. The lead characters mannerisms in the commercial alone reek of douche. But the show looks so horrible, I've never caught an episode. And I never plan to either, because I have a hunch its one of those shitty shows made by hacks and glorified by holier-than-thou types who say "If you don't like it, you don't GET IT." If there is a shittier way to defend something you like and its merits then "You just don't GET IT," I'm unaware of this method, because that seems like a last resort to anyone that can't truly defend something they know isn't as good as the praise it receives. I haven't watched the show yet, so its not that I don't 'GET IT.' Its more like, I haven't watched it yet because it looks so fucking horrendous I just wouldn't be able to. Especially due to over-advertising and people overrating it as the BEST SHOW EVAR that I'm already annoyed before I even give it a chance. And no, I ain't trying to be a hipster, or a non-conformist, because they suck just as much ass as all the horrible shit I mentioned in this post. I base everything on fact or personal opinion, and my personal opinion of those commercials tells me I'm gonna be one of the people sitting there, enjoying the tits and nothing else, wanting to punch that douchey smirk off of Chucks face.
-
I've been watching it from the start and I don't find it boring, clichéd or slow at all. What the hell are you lot watching? o_O
-
a 0.0? because it keeps getting renewed and no one watches it
-
I just don't want it.<p>If V has gotten better then good for the fans - and I love Morena so I'm glad she has a steady gig. But I checked out and won't be going back.<p>As for Chuck, it's really contrived and asinine and filled with unlikeable people. I think if you enjoy Chuck you're probably asinine and unlikeable yourself. But, you know, own that shit and never say sorry.
-
It's pretty much the perfect show to just watch and enjoy without having to a lot of thinking. They have spies and comedy and hot chicks in slow motion. <p> As for V and Flashforward, they both failed in the same ways- terrible characters and unrealistic reactions to world-changing events. <p> And someone is gonna have to explain how exactly Mark Benford can solve a mystery by looking at old chess competition time-clock records and discovering morse code in the timing of the moves. Because that happened on Flashforward.
-
Um, don't think so. V is so far from BSG it's not even funny. I'll say again, I actually care about what happens with the Flash Forward characters. I still could care less about anyone on V.
-
It REALLY picked up a head of awesome steam after a somewhat slow start, and I am GRIPPED - as is my fiancee. And even at its worst, it was never as bad as the first few episodes of Chuck in season 1, so come on. Let's give it some slack.
-
I loved the original & think this one has been pretty great, too. But the original showed us all clearly that what works well in one and/or two large mini-series does NOT (usually) work well for an open-ended series....PARTICULARLY with an alien-invasion premise where you have clearly defined phases that must be presented (first contact...mystery/suspicion...organized rebellion...exposure of true motives...battles...resolution) If the producers and/or network are smart, they should play with the Lost dynamic where they announce there will be one or two seasons of 8-15 episodes each...then the show will end. Announce that...promote & re-run the hell outtove it this summer, and you'll see a pretty healthy audience who is now willing to commit to the series, knowing that it won't get canceled before everything is resolved. Hell, I started pvr'ing the last 5 FlashForwards when it started looking like cancellation was imminent, as I didn't want to devote any time to if unless it was renewed...now I can free up some valuable HD hard-drive space! Telling people that V WILL end on it's own terms...and when...will create a sizable & stable audience, just like it worked w/Lost (albeit not as big).
-
the last few weeks have gotten better and Morena Baccarin owns that show. She is bringing the big evil.
-
Sick it, bitches! Is Flash Forward definitely dead? Cause if so, that's a damned shame.
-
that most viewers are fucking retarded<p> the main point of this show, the one thing that they have pounded into the viewer...THE ALIENS HAVE NO EMOTION...therefore, ana is incapable of love<p> she didnt go psycho, she just saw an opportunity to use her daughter to make the retarded humans think she was like them<p> and ultimately, the entire event was just used to show supergirl in a bikini....FOOKIN RETARDED
-
Thank goodness. Another season of Yvonne in underwear wielding a smith and wesson 9mm. It's a dream come true.
-
A lot of people read the Onion. You need to start stealing your material from a more obscure source.
-
It went from "Oh geez I have to watch this to get it off of my dvr" to "Sweet, V's on after Lost". It was nice having a halfway decent show to follow Lost for half of the season.
-
cause then all those chuck fans would off themselves because it's all they had in their meaningless lives
-
...except for this one friend who doesn't own a TV and (for some inexplicable reason) doesn't watch Hulu either. <br><br> Anyway, glad Chuck is getting another season. It's the modern Get Smart, but better. They should try to wrap everything up this time around, though. The writers could do some awesome things with the show if they knew in advance they were going to have to wrap it up.
-
That was another show where it just felt like a chore to watch, but ever since it came back from hiatus it has really found it's groove. Last night's episode kicked all kinds of ass in the alternate universe, and Fringe is showing potential to do everything right that Heroes did wrong.
-
Well, we're not watching V. Because it's boring and predictable. Nothing happens. Every single episode the resistence does something, the Vs do something, but they never actually GET anywhere. You could skip three or more episodes without missing a single thing. <p>I've read fanfics with better writing and more engaging characters.
-
Both are TV shows that suck my balls
-
..was supposed to be the tent pole for ABC after the end of "Lost". The series that would continue the mythos type programming "Lost" started but it was way too convoluted. Fringe seems to be the next mythos series that will be successful. I watch Chuck and I like it, but I thought that Kristen Kreuk was a better match for Chuck. "V" is getting better but they need to get to some serious combat and quit with all the innuendo.
-
Elizabeth Mitchell and the priest have to be the two least compelling people on television. It's like watching paint dry. The son is starting to get annoying too.
-
They should take the opportunity to keep going in the promising direction they find themselves in. It's really better than you think
-
I just realized that Morena Baccarin is Inara from Firefly. Always thought she looked really familiar. *cough* lol OK, feeling a wee bit slow over here right now. Aaaaanyway. Still planning on watching V as a back-to-back marathon. A little bit more interested now that I know who she is.
-
we beter have some action soon or else.
-
They really need to stop calling the human resistance fighters the fifth column. The humans can't be fifth column, by definition.<br /> <br /> I am surprised that V got renewed. It's pretty bad. The acting is some of the worst on TV and the story is just empty. Not sure if I'll continue. The only thing it has going for it is everything else has been canceled. Aside from Chuck and the Fox animation block, this will be the only big 4 network show I have left. Thank god for AMC, Showtime and HBO.<br /> <br /> I am glad for Chuck. It's a fun show that's perfect for Monday nights. I can see why some people may not be into it, but it's better than anything Abrams, Bruckheimer or Kelley are gonna come up with. I'm guessing that Kelley is working on a few weird lawyer shows for the network. Christ, even Whedon got away from vampires once in a while. Abrams will give us another mystery show that goes nowhere and everywhere at once. And Bruckheimer, well I can't even watch his movies, so why would I bother with his attempt at a more civilized medium?
-
I have no idea if the acting is good, the writing excellent, the jokes funny... the music is so AWFUL that I can't watch it. I've tried but it's just one lame song after another. There's probably 12 different songs in each episode, each one shittier than the last.
-
...so you can't ignore it. There's probably more wailing by angsty teenagers than there is actual dialogue on that show. It makes me want to slam my head into a wall.
-
Seriously, I do every week. I would love it to be better, but it just isn't. Mainly from a common sense standpoint, not from a "the plot (wait, there's a plot?) is stupid" standpoint. In the original, world leaders were mind-converted and trouble-makers were disappeared. Why? Because who in their right mind would take this at face value? You're telling me no major world leaders are a bit dubious about these guys? (no, that one UN guy doesn't count as major). Intelligence agencies aren't worried about the fact that these guys look human and could (already have) infiltrate society? The FBI takes every piece of "evidence" as gospel? Erica killed one in her living room, doesn't it occur to her to maybe drag that corpse to a vet for dissection or put it on the 11 o'clock news? That was one of the strategies in the miniseries. Use their alien-ness to turn public opinion against them. Like I said, common sense. I don't care if the Visitors' plan is the same as the original or something else, but the Earth deserves to be wiped out if these are the morons we have defending it. (sorry if this is one big block, I seriously cannot remember how to do paragraphs)
-
Unwatchable? Put some earplugs on and watch Yvonne. I mean, if you can't watch her there is something wrong with you.
-
lame
-
It's like some sort of mind control where they show you hot chicks but play the most god-awful mind-numbing music possible so you start to relate the two.
-
once LOST started up again. I'm fairly sure I didn't miss a damn thing back in November or whenever the first half of the series started. Man, it is some slow watchin'! If it weren't on after LOST I probably wouldn't even watch it at all. They seriously need to amp up the action/intrigue and definately the danger factor!
-
that no one is the least bit scared that there are GIANT ALIEN SPACESHIPS parked strategically over every major city in the world, except for the 5 5th collumn guys. No military action taken, mass unrest from the general public, I haven't even seen one single comment from the President about the "friendly invasion". Come to think of it, why do I watch V?
-
series was pretty good up until Ironside left. "Gooderrrrr!!".
-
Chuck was absolute rubbish. How could anyone have enjoyed that or found it amusing. V is another giant shit-fest. Christ, why are we plagued by such shitty television programs? Do these networks have a prerequisite before signing on the dotted line, that each show has to be cliché ridden, worthless garbage from opening scene to end credits? Give us all a break and fuck off!
-
Wow, why am I not surprised.
-
I also picked it up mid season. The last episode had this shocking reveal where Erica Evans learns that her son is dating a V. That made me a bit confused. I was under the impression she knew all along. Who else did she think her son was dating?
-
This season's had a few minor issues but it's still an entertaining show.<BR><BR> V's actually improved since it's premiere but the improvements haven't been enough. It's biggest weakness by far is still in the writing. <BR><BR> First off, each episode needs to be stronger and tighter. They spend far too much time (essentially) covering the same ground or talking about things that don't really matter. Threats, obstacles, consequences etc tend to be too predictable, boring or irrelevant so the audience either ends up arriving at the conclusion before the show does or not caring what the out come is.<BR><BR> Make each episode about something we're going to want to care about. Raise the stakes. Since it's a war, have the 5th Column loose a few battles. Change it up and leave us off balance. Give them an overwhelming threat so they have no choice but to fight (the ep where the priest just gives up was senseless). The V soldiers are a step in the right direction but it remains to be seen what they do with them.<BR><BR> The last episode where Anna's daughter was used to smoke out the scientist was all too predictable and the part where they revealed the threat the scientist posed to Anna was maybe 30 seconds long. If they had established the threat early on and made that the core story, it would've raised the stakes for failure to save him and would've made for something more exciting. <BR><BR> The characters are all more or less cut from the same mold... you can identify them by their race or occupation, but you can take almost any line of dialog or course of action and give it to another character without changing the story much, if at all. And since they're all so similar, we don't really identify with or care about any of them. A smaller scale story like this needs characters with their own unique traits and personalities. And it would help if the characters spent less time talking and more time doing/showing. It goes without saying that they could do without the kid or the news anchor... if they become absolutely necessary later on then bring them back then.<BR><BR> If they're going to get different directors, I wouldn't be opposed if they got Frakes to do more. There's a significant difference between the one he did vs most of the other episodes.
-
There was a promotional shot in a magazine for a re-run of the old miniseries in the UK, showed an original Visitor stormtrooper leaning against a squad vehicle. Struck me that everything wrong with the new V was summed up in one shot. There is no threat, no stake, no agenda, no consequence... it's as if the people of Earth looked up into the sky, saw the motherships and said "Meh". Depressed good guys, flat bad guys, no action, no allegory but the dumbest reactionary commentary on this week's healthcare reform and (way to go, guys) naked anti-immunisation quackery. There is no humour (like, NONE), no personal growth: Julie? Elias? Donovan? - where can you go when your lead character is already a highly trained FBI agent? It's just, just awful. After two episodes of the original we knew why the Visitors were there, we were under martial law, we had a plausible resistance. These twats can't get their act together over an entire series. Also it was creepy as hell and the FX defects were easier to put aside. And oh yeah: it was fun and I still love it 25 years later. Good luck with that.
-
beyond awful. The actors keep walking through solid objects.
-
I'm pleased to know this. Very pleased. Good job, my american friends, good job.
-
Dude it's the first season. Yes, they could go straight to all-out war and be done by episode 4...but that wouldn't be very compelling would it? It's going slowly, but there is usually enough intrigue each episode to keep me watching. I'm enjoying seeing the beginnings of a resistance, wondering if the lead is finally going to come clean with her son and stick a gun in his hand, waiting for the V daughter to turn 5th Column (like the blonde chick in the old series did). In the middle of all that the show to me, plays on alot of 'oh shit they are gonna know she's/he's 5th column!' moments, which is for me, what keeps it tense while we wait for the more open battles to come. And people don't see the allegory? Pretty sure the Taliban would. Or if that's too close to the bone, how about the American War of Independence? The show's got legs as far as I'm concerned and we'll be glad we had this build up when things get more all-out warish.<p> If I had some criticism, it's that it relies on the same thing that irks me with Lost: People keeping secrets for no reason other than dragging a plot line out. That, and I was hoping the 'soldier' was going to be full on-lizard and not just another faster, quicker meat suit.
-
...and I don't mean Anna's lizard vergina! Actually, I do, but I digress. For starters, the priest was injected with R6 which is a tracking agent, which is a part of the V's MASSIVE surveillance system that's already in place, yet they don't realize that his ass is all over 5th column hot spots? And then there's FBI mom, who wants to protect her son but won't just tell him the fucking truth or at least show him some evidence by having Morris Chestnut V show her son his scales. Is there really that much of a disconnect between mother and son that he still wouldn't believe what she was telling him? I guess her being networked with the FBI doesn't mean shit to his dumb ass, especially when there's that blonde lizard tail to be chased and subsequently tapped. And this shit with the Merc pulling the old double agent swindle? Lazy writing, fellers. Make it better. Make it count. Make us really care. We've invested time in your efforts. Quit half assing it and take some real chances.

great name btw.<p> The Merc isn't a double agent. He just values his own neck over any percieved ideal. He's only dealing because he wants to be off their most-wanted list, Not because he plans to work for them.

This show showed a lot of problems right from the pilot. Great production values, but the plot and characters just rub me the wrong way. And all this stuff about the ETs already being here and they have been doing subversive actions for decades? PLEASE!!! Jesus, when i watched the pilot, all i could think was "somebody here watched BATTLESTAR GALACTICA". Yeah, it was unexpected and a good way to rethink BSG and the cylons' actions with the humans. In V, it's deja vu, not to say blatant ripoff.<br><br>And really, this is allowed to continue while HEROES get canceled? I don't care what the knee-jerkers anti-Heroes say, that show always showed something new, some new interesting character, some interesting new draamtic turn for a well established character, and one of the most interesting troubled villains in the history of recent TV. And it gets canceled for the sake of V? Screw this bullshit!<br><br>And cutting Morena's hair short is a fucking crime for such a beautiful woman like her!

Good grief Asi, V couldn't be further from BSG if.....

....BSG had aired in another Galaxy. I know you're ripping on it as I am, but great production values? Which episode did I miss? This has been one of the cheapest, dumbest shows in recent years with less production value than the average YouTube video. The effects remind me of that Internet show Sanctuary when it started. Same crappy type of cgi. And yeah, as someone else mentioned above people - stop calling the human resistance the fifth column!!!! Jeez, read a history book. The Visitors rebelling against zzzzzzAnnaZzzzzzzzz are fifth column - the humans are just resistance fighters without any actual motivation or reasons for brin resistance fighters so far.

I'm old enough to have seen the old show when it first aired. I know what it was then and the differences with the new show. and i can look beyond mere superficialities to know when v is ripping off. And V is indeed ripping off elements from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. If you can't see it, then maybe you should care a bit more then just mere superficialities. If you care, that is. Give me a break!

It's a cool show, and since I don't have cable there aren't many options if you want scifi. It does have a few irksome parts, the horrible motion tracking of the cg ship interior (cannot unsee) and the jarring switches from vague/mysterious dialogue to stating the obvious. But still I keep coming back (to hulu anyway) week after week to watch it. I was really hoping it would resolve and wrap up after this season. I don't see how they can add a season without stretching the plot to unbearable degrees. Already the last 3 episodes or so feel like they've been the same. No progress.

I'm of the age to remember being wowed by it on tv too.

Original BSG, Original V miniseries - quite an event show when it aired in the UK - all of it big things to me as a young 'un. New BSG was amazing all the way through for me too even though I still love the original. But apart from an element of colour desaturation in the new V I fail to see anything that has it ripping off new BSG. Please enlighten me, because for all it's massive, enormous and unfixable faults copying BSG doesn't seem to be one of them.
