I am – Hercules!! Deadline Hollywood reports that “Law & Order” is done after all. The low-rated drama would have broken “Gunsmoke’s” record for longing-running drama (but not longest-running anything else, thanks to longer-running shows like “The Simpsons,” “60 Minutes” and “Meet The Press”) Very late last year, Business Week had this:

“I’m a ‘Law & Order’ junkie,” [NBC primetime entertainment president Angela] Bromstad said. “I wouldn’t want to be responsible for not having ‘Law & Order’ break the record.”

Bromstad later clarified that no decision had yet been made on the series’ next season. The more popular “Law & Order SVU” is expected back next season, and the network is widely expected to launch “Law & Order: Los Angeles” next season under the stewardship of Showtime's “Brotherhood” mastermind, Blake Masters.
