TRANSFORMERS 3 Just Got A Little Better!! Skidmark And Mudbutt Won't Be In The New Movie!!

Among the many, many unnerving elements of TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN were Skids and Mudflap - two inestimably offensive racial stereotypings who pretty much defy description, or any degree of common sense. And, it's safe to say, these characters were quite high on the list of things many viewers did not wanna see when the third movie hits theaters next Summer. Looks like those folks will get their wish. Michael chimed in on a thread over at his ShootForTheEdit site, where he definitively squashed the rumored return of the Skids and Mudflap (S&M?).

While this development would be seen as progress by any rational individual, I'm wondering how long it'll be before someone out there cries "racism" and "discrimination" because these two caricatures were shown the door? You know someone, somewhere, will do it... Of course, what worries me about all of this is: who or what is he gonna replace 'em with?
