even if you are not in to street art scene. I buy a fair bit of art but took friends to see this that couldn't care less about banksy or the wider street art scene in general and they throughly enjoyed it.

Why is it that Harry and family always seem to get on the list for screenings? Can you not be impartial and let some more of your core base of members attend?

"You see..when I was a kid, I loved spray painting and bombing. There is just something so....gitty about this movie. We went right out and got my nephew a can of krylon..he loved it that much, and who am I to stand in the way of his dream"

Except most of the stuff you see done in the film couldn't be classified as bog-standard 'tagging'. Banksy's work takes a wee bit more skill and wit than scrawling 'MAD CREW' on a hundred bus stop shelters.

Some of us 50 year olds like street art. I believe we call it being open to new ideas. Don't paint everyone with the same agesim brush stroke. Fucking kids today (shakes head).
that should read ageism. Should have put my spectacles on.

SO,,, 50 years-olds should be very much in tune with it's ethos and application. Wow how young and ignorant must a person be to think 50 is OLD? TIT.

Pseudo art made by people not talented or dedicated enough to make it as real artists, therefore rather than have their mediocre art ignored en masse they instead paint it everywhere in typically desperate and egotistically 'look at me' fashion, while saying things like "the world is my canvas" in order to justify defacing other people's property. And taggers are even more pathetic, wannabe 'street artists' without even the most basic of painting skills that street art required. And don't even get me started on the smurfing stencillers...

This movie has a twist; prevent yourself from knowing anything more about it. I went into it knowing nothing more than the title and that's the best way to see it. Best line in the movie? "Maybe the joke is on us... maybe there isn't even a joke" You'll see...

Something tells me that AngrySmurf has a lot of Thomas Kinkade paintings on his walls.

Hey Smurf..in case you are wondering..Banksy defaces GOVERNMENT property to make a social statement about what social policies and corporations make people say and do in society..thats what he does..you can agree or disagree with Banksy but maybe at least inform yourself on the subject before popping off..he doesnt go tagging private houses and the fact that you make that statement shows how ignorant you are about either art, or artists. The fact you even post on this thread without knowing who the fuck made the movie, or his philosphy or politcs is game enough to plant your ass back in the sandbox and tell you to go back to making sandcastles and shoving gi joes up your ass becuase you are obviously 6 years old.

Social commentary? What a bunch of pretentious bullshit. Yeah, kind of how terrorists make social commentary by blowing people up, huh? And everyone knows that terrorists are awesome. But hey, all of four people on the entire internet went out of their way to attack me in support of Banksy and his retarded so called social art, so that truly shows the worth of this guy right there. Even paedophiles can drum up a bigger supporter base than that. Street Art - Celebrating being simultaneously pretentious and utterly shit now for over 40 years.

I'm guessing that and BitchySmurf were taken. Have fun trying to convince everyone to hate the stuff you hate, sunshine. Maybe more terrorist metaphors will help.
