This one fell through the cracks a few days ago, but here it is for your consideration anyway...
Patrick Dempsey (ENCHANTED, GREY'S ANATOMY) has joined the cast of TRANSFORMERS 3.
Dempsey told reporters in Brazil that he begins lensing the third outing mid-summer. He also said in the interview that he'll play a darker character.

Seems he'll be playing boss of Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) and his role is apparently important. Shia is returning along with Tyrese. Francis McDormand and John Malkovich are also in it. I'm hearing conflicting things about Turturro of Rodriguez's involvement with the picture - waiting for a confirm and will update this piece accordingly.
TRANSFORMERS 3 is set to open mid-Summer 2011 - some (allegedly) pre-viz kinda shooting has already happened.
