Remember That Joaquin Phoenix Weridness A Few Years Ago?? The Movie Version Is Ready!!

For those who don't recall...or simply missed the shenanigans thus far...Joaquin Phoenix appears to have gone a little haywire over the last few years, claiming to have renounced acting in favor of pursuing a hip-hop career (he looks like an Amish Mafioso - even though there probably isn't such a thing). The result was a series of usually unfunny and not-entirely-convincing media opportunities, like this famously odd appearance on Letterman...
..."music videos"...
...and this scrappy appearance in a Miami nightclub.
All things being equal, the following news is far from surprising. Seems early and repeated reports that Joaquin was, in actuality, filming some sort of mockumentary with Casey Affleck have borne out - and said picture is currently being shopped around by William Morris Endeavor (WME).

the film made its debut in a private lunchtime screening at WME headquarters last week for buyers -- including Harvey Weinstein -- who were sworn to secrecy. WME is selling the film, and it may only take a couple of days to reach a deal.

...says Deadline HERE. Hope the material in their film comes together better than these past appearances have suggested. I've yet to see anything that makes me wanna sit through a feature length chronicle of the same shtick.
