Joseph Gordon-Levitt confirmed to reteam with BRICK director Rian Johnson for time-travel tale LOOPER!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm a big fan of BRICK and feel that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rian Johnson are a great pair. They seem to get each other on every level. It has been rumored for a while that Gordon-Levitt would star in Johnson's sci-fi actioneer LOOPER, but now it seems more or less official, thanks to a break at THR. Those are good guys at THR, but they got the log-line wrong. They claim it's about assassin from the future sent back in time to kill today's criminals, but that's wrong. Strike that, reverse it, as Willy Wonka would say. It's about a future where time travel enables targets to be sent back, possibly before they're even born, to be killed by operatives in our time. They say Levitt will be sent back in time to kill himself... well, like I said, strike that and reverse it.
I've been told I failed horribly at writing the above in any coherent way. So here's exactly what Johnson said on his twitter feed: "Hit men are sent their victims from crime orgs in the future." End of line.
The article also mentions him being eyed to star in David Koepp's PREMIUM RUSH, about a New York bike messenger who finds an envelope and is promptly chased all around the city by dirty cops trying to get it back. I love that Levitt is starting to blow up. He's one of our best young actors and I eagerly await anything he does. You? -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
