Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a look at the trailer for Anton Corbijn's dramatic thriller THE AMERICAN which stars George Clooney as an aging assassin on a final assignment in Italy.
What grabs me about the trailer isn't the plot (which seems to follow every single hitman movie ever... I wonder if we'll ever see an assassin movie that doesn't include someone on their supposedly final job), but the feel. Clooney looks great in this world and there's an elegance to the style on display that screams old fashioned filmmaking to me.
