'Not The Shark Again!!'
Wednesday Brings The Last
New SOUTH PARK Till October!!
I am – Hercules!!
Last week’s hilarious and highly censored “201” made lots of news.
An “I am Spartacus”-like movement dubbed “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day” is being organized for May 20.
Sunday’s opening titles for “The Simpsons” summed up my feelings on the matter:

I would like to go on record to say that whoever posted the address of the “South Park” production office on RevolutionMuslim.com is a self-promoting little prick. And short-sighted. Hopefully no one will publicize his New York address online. Or track him down and give him a massive wedgie.
Comedy Central says of tonight's last new episode till October, titled “Crippled Summer”:
Competition is the name of the game this summer. There is no time for Jimmy and his friends to slack off. They're working to be this year's champions at summer camp. Jimmy suits up and prepares to shred in the annual surfing contest.

Ratings for "South Park" of late have been crazy good by cable standards. In the 18-49 demo it beat CBS and ABC at 10 p.m. last Wednesday:

Wednesday 18-49 finals; repeats in grey; prior weeks in parentheses: 5.9 (6.8) (6.7) (6.7) (7.2) (6.8) (7.5) (8.5) (8.7) (7.0) (9.5) (7.8) (9.5) (9.9) (10.1) (----) American Idol 2.8 (1.9) (2.5) (2.9) (3.3) (2.8) (2.6) (2.7) (-----) (-----) (1.2) (0.9) (1.4) (2.0) (3.1) (----) Law & Order: SVU 2.1 (3.7) (1.9) (3.9) (3.7) (1.8) (3.8) (3.4) (1.7) (1.7) (4.1) (3.9) (-----) (4.2) (3.2) (4.1) Modern Family 1.9 (1.9) (1.7) (1.7) (1.8) (2.0) (----) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) South Park 1.8 (3.2) (3.5) (1.8) (2.0) (1.9) (3.4) (3.4) (1.7) (1.9) (3.6) (3.8) (-----) (4.2) (3.8) (----) Criminal Minds 1.5 (1.9) (1.9) (1.4) (----) (-----) (----) (-----) (1.9) (1.9) (3.3) (3.0) (2.0) (3.5) (3.1) (2.1) Accidentally 1.5 (1.7) (1.6) (1.3) (----) (1.4) (2.2) (1.6) (1.1) (1.3) (2.3) (----) (1.4) (1.9) (1.8) (----) Old Christine 1.5 (2.3) (1.7) (2.0) (2.5) (1.4) (2.3) (2.1) (1.4) (1.7) (2.9) (2.7) (1.6) (1.7) (2.1) (2.6) The Middle 1.4 (2.6) (2.4) (1.7) (1.7) (1.6) (2.6) (3.0) (1.7) (2.0) (3.3) (3.4) (-----) (3.5) (3.5) (----) CSI: NY 1.4 (1.2) (1.4) (1.4) (1.5) (1.2) (1.4) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) Law & Order: SVU 1.4 (1.2) (1.4) (1.4) (1.4) (1.7) (1.6) (-----) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) America’s Next Top Model 1.3 (2.5) (1.4) (2.6) (2.6) (1.3) (2.5) (2.3) (1.3) (1.2) (2.7) (2.9) (1.1) (3.4) (3.1) (3.3) Cougar Town 1.2 (-----) (----) (----) (1.3) (1.4) (1.5) (1.6) (----) (----) (1.8) (1.6) (0.9) (1.4) (1.5) (1.7) Mercy 1.1 (1.0) (1.0) (1.0) (0.9) (0.9) (1.0) (1.0) (----) (0.7) (0.9) (0.7) (1.0) (0.8) (0.8) (1.2) Ghost Hunters 1.1 (0.9) (0.9) (1.1) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (-----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) The Ultimate Fighter 1.0 (1.0) (1.1) (1.0) (----) (1.0) (1.1) (1.2) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) House of Payne 1.0 (1.1) (1.0) (1.0) (1.0) (1.1) (----) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) Ugly Americans 0.9 (0.9) (0.7) (0.9) (0.8) (1.0) (-----) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) Destination Truth 0.8 (0.7) (0.9) (0.9) (0.9) (0.8) (1.0) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (0.8) (0.9) (1.1) (1.0) (1.0) Dog The Bounty Hunter 0.8 (0.6) (0.8) (0.8) (0.8) (0.7) (0.9) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) Billy The Exterminator 0.8 (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) 16 And Pregnant 0.8 (0.8) (0.8) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) The Challenge 0.7 (0.8) (0.9) (0.9) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (-----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) In Plain Sight 0.4 (0.4) (0.4) (0.4) (0.4) (----) (----) (-----) (-----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) Fly Girls 0.4 (0.5) (-----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) (----) (-----) (----) Top Chef 0.4 (0.3) (0.3) (0.3) (0.3) (0.5) (0.5) (-----) (----) (----) (----) (-----) (-----) (-----) (----) (----) High Society

How the Jesus Titty Fucking Muhammad's massive Double-D's am i supposed to see it??
-
Don't kill me!
-
As many TBers pointed out, unintended censorship [by creators] turned out to be even bigger joke. What CC did was reduce Mohammed to a curse word.
-
this season. Not because of controversy.
-
...the show is still relevant. Still topical. Ton of steam going forward. Never would have thought that 10 years ago.
-
Keeping the gross out stuff to a minimum helps a ton.
-
under the name Muhammad (I'm sure his full name is on wikipedia) and use the image from the South Park superfriends episode? <br /><br />There's only one way for the internet to treat such censorship.
-
Since they usually offer uncensored episodes on the DVD releases, I wonder if we'll finally get to hear the speeches at the end of "201".
-
8=====D I'm a dead man.
-
www.southparkfiles.com That's where I watched it! You need a program like utorrent to get it though.
-
and you know a much lesser fuck to comedy central in general. I get why they did the censoring thing and why they aren't repeating the show, but to not show the episode at all in the UK is just fucked up. Granted I can and will watch it online, but the reason I got sky was so I wouldn't have to watch things online. There's a bizarre fucking concept - actually paying for shows I want to watch and then being forced to watch them online because the program makers refuse to air them.
-
has chickened out, because people actually thought it was a brilliant idea and it got widespread support. Here's a link to the story http://tinyurl.com/2e2cepr
-
It's kinda outta that guy's hands. So "chickening out" was kind of pointless. He'll still get the blame. But now, not the credit. Dumb. Not that anything will actually happen to him. They've killed how many people now for drawing Mo? Exactly. I think the chances of there being a CREDIBLE threat against even a high profile target are still very, very tiny. And Darth Melkor, you drew his cock wrong. It's 8=D

For it to really work, I think it has to be an annual thing
by Porco Drunko
or preferably a monthly event. Just keep chucking out pictures of mohammed until it becomes so common place it's impossible to target anyone. Sorry but on the list of blasphemous acts isn't "they drew a picture" amongst the most fucking stupid imaginable. And to then threaten them with death - which I'm pretty sure Islam frowns upon pretty severely is just fucking retarded. Sorry but this is an issue where their should be no appeasement, no "cultural understanding" just tell these fucking twats to get the fuck over it or prepare to face full on criminal prosecution. Every last mother fucking muslim that thinks it's ok to issue death threats. Guess what that shit is illegal and you should be rotting in a prison cell.

I guess not. Stupid talkback won't accept multiple spaces...
by V'Shael
Oh well.
-
We get new episodes on Sundays and they aired a repeat this Sunday bcuz of this shit. It's just a fucking cartoon, entertainment for christs sakes it's not like it's a documentary. My god the world is a fucked up place. We can all thank religon and extremist once again for ruining it for the rest of us. First the crusades and now this..fuck!

-
I'll just have to join the "Draw Muhammad" day protest instead, since AICN clearly can't handle ascii art.
-
out of all the religions that don't fight back with death threats when they are mocked. Fuck this show and fuck Comedy Central.
-
they don't own the show they just have rights to air the new episodes first in their country. They get the show that comedy central gives them, obviously it's up to them as to weather their respective laws alow them to air swaer words, but in this case it's obvious that comedy central only issued them the censored episode<P>so in other words they had no choice but to air the episode with the bleeps over any mention of the pedophile muhammad
-
Hoo hah !
-
various disabled American groups are complaining about the shark whistle episode already, Comedy Central told them to fuck off, now they're recruiting suicide bombers so they can be taken seriously, the option of having psychotic murderers for your cause is the only real "Goo" oh, and heres a picture of moHAMmad (*)(*) Remember Theo Van Gogh
-
I'm in Toronto, and the Comedy Network definitely aired it on Sunday. Although, it was also the censored version.
-
TWC called the 10:00 pm EST first run of '201' a "rerun" and, as a result, my DVR didn't record it. So I set it for the 12:00 am showing which, of course, never came. So I've never seen it. Fuck. You. CC. Fuck. You. TWC. Fuck. You. Muslims.
-
They usually re air the episode at midnight and since I dvr the pacific at 9 when south park airs I tape SP at 12 and it was a repeat...fuck I guess if it aired I take that back comedy network..my bad..I wonder why the hell didn't they re air it as per usual @ midnight instead of showing a repeat..hmm well now I feel like a douche
-
You can get the first five episodes of this season, but still no "201." Comedy Central is suppressing this episode like nobody's business and I'm concerned it won't even be included on the DVD set.
-
Fuck 'em all if they can't take a joke.
-
....you should organize a protest and go public all holding large posters of your version of Muhammed instead of just putting up facebook pictures of him. That's the cowardly way and it won't do shit all. It's kind of like cowards who talk shit on talkbacks, ya know. If you really want to create a stir, you'll have to get off your fatasses and go out in public together. Fat chance of that ever happening.
-

There is a difference between cowardice and just having a death
by terry1978
I can say I don't want to jump off a building because I don't want to be killed, but some would label it being a coward, some would call it common sense.
-
It's not about taunting them with human targets and real world street addresses in the hope that some Muslim nutjob can master the art of fire, followed by the art of throwing a molotov cocktail.<br /><br />It's about causing blasphemous offence.<br /><br />The internet is good for showing that idiots who try to censor one thing, always manage to get that one thing more exposure than the censored item could ever do.<br /><br />It's popularly known as "The Stresiand Effect"<br /><br />Check it out here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect<br /><br />That's the purpose of the draw Muhammad day. Not to get people physically in danger. But to show the fundies that no one gets to censor the internet. Whether it's Thai people bitching about their king, or muslims bitching about their prophet.
-
From the rest of the human race? Seriously? This is not a good PR move for the Muslim community. I feel really bad for the majority of that group that thinks WTF, time for more bombings at my place of worship because of nutso crazies that share my religion. Damn shame.
-
Meh.. looked like MO to me. Nice effort. Captured the spirit of it all.
-
other than the "oh cool it's such and such." factor, I thought it was a real jump-the-shark moment. Bringing all these characters back really ruins the purity of the original episodes, espically Scott Tennerman, i thought it was lazy on the part of Matt & Trey. It amounted to nothing more than a glorified clip show.
-
if I scroll the page up and down the text on the blackboard on that simpsons picture goes from being level looking to teeter totterin, depending on which direction your scrolling<p> Very strange
-
....or else I would have missed it, too. Normally, I just watch them again on my computer so they're uncensored. Guess that won't be happening anytime soon. And no, they won't have an uncensored version on the DVD. They didn't w/ Cartoon Wars.
-
FUCK!
-
.. is people in the media, on sites, etc, talking and writing about how this will fuel "Islamaphobia". As if that's a real thing... look, last time I checked, it's ok to FEAR, Hate, or criticize a set of IDEAS. It's when you start taking it OUT on a group that it becomes a bad thing. Now, there are racists out there, who hate all things brown. And they hate middle-eastern people. But let's not confuse that with criticism of Islam, which is a religion, not a race. A set of ideas and beliefs, not a skin color. Of course, many Islamists, Muslims and their ILK would like the world to look at it as if it were a kind of racism or bigotry. But it's simply not. Institutionalized hatred, misogyny, bigotry and brutality does NOT get a free pass, no matter what kind of ancient texts support it as HOLY or sacred. They love misdirection and re-definition, just as many other religions do. I don't give any other religions a free pass either as long as they prop up leaders and mouthpieces that blame things like Katrina on "teh gays" and such. A certain amount of nutbaggery not only deserves "intolerance", but DEMANDS it from any and all people of reason who encounter it. If someone comes down on the head of a fuckwad that protests a military funeral because they assume the solider was gay, carrying signs that say "god hates fags".. is the man that say, beat the shit out of those people an "intolerant" man? You bet your ass he is. And for good reason. Not anything or everything should be "tolerated" by modern, intelligent, reasonable citizens or the society they live in. When you hear the words "religious intolerance", remember that religion, for the most part, is the source of said intolerance. Not the victim of it. And ideas, if backward, victimizing, destructive or simply proven wrong or untrue, should NEVER be protected from criticism. EVER. We should always be intolerant of bad ideas. Sacred, in the end, is usually just another word for "protected from scrutiny".
-
Or it would be really hard to distribute this episode that Comedy Central is trying their butt-fuckingest to keep supressed. I don't think 201 has aired since the original airing at 10pm last wednesday
-
New episodes start this sunday, I believe! Fuck yes!
-
why does the google image search come up with images?<br><br> http://bit.ly/beLEvj
-
has excelled over past 4-5 seasons. the show is better now than it was from season 3 to season 8. <p> doing social commentary has become their thing. its what matt & trey do best. south park has more bite than any animated show going.
-
wouldnt be the 1st time they've been accused of taking the easy way out. or using a gimmick to the point of dead horse status. or burning out an original idea. <P> sometimes its the beating of the dead horse that makes it funny. callback #1 not so funny. by the time they do callback #9, it can be humorous.
-
Okay, what happened to that whole episode that was supposed to be in direct response to the yelling ginger kid on youtube? I remember seeing other footage from that episode that never aired! What happened?
-
been too long. the other biting social commentary animation on tv today. just hope boondocks hasn't lost its funny during the hiatus. <p> 4 years since mcgruder killed the comic strip, 2 years since season 2 of the animation. <p> he could be tiring of doing the characters.
-
The purpose of that to celebrate their 200th episode. I watched an interview with Parker and Stone, and they said their intent was to do a sort of clip show, but with all new material.
-
... I would do an episode in which I rape Mohammed repeteadly, for 20 minutes. Then I give the camera the finger and say "FUCK YOU!". Fade to black. I would then travel to Iran and shout out "COME AND GET ME MOTHERFUCKERS!". I'd be armed, though, so I would get some motherfuckers with me. "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!"
-
It will last long enough for other people to grab a copy. Then it will propagate across the web on all the less popular, but less censored video sites, like dailymotion.com<br /><br />You could become famous, and you don't need a TV show to do it.
-
Normally, I disagree with a lot of posts, but I agree with most of you on here who are against the small majority of Muslims who create a huge crisis over what is essentially nothing. Everything gets mocked. You are not special to think that you alone are better than everything else. South Park mocks everything equally which is why I like it. It is like the fundamentalist Islamic followers are still living in the dark ages when it was okay to kill people who don't follow your religious beliefs. Every religion is going to have the occasional crazy, but this is absurd.
-
Why do they do that? They air a few episodes, then you have to wait another 6 months for like 6 more episodes.
-
I think I'll be like this till SP comes around. How many hours to go?
-
Must of missed that hilarious part of last weeks episode. Hopefully this show will be cancelled.
-
...I agree, non muslims shouldnt uphold their traditions or views or whatever, but i find draw mo day offensive... if it was like people in streets wit signs, sure... but on fb? it is cowardly... also, if you have any muslim friends, i think youll be offendin them... i mean, on sundays, i dont go around and talk bout zombie jesus not bein real and stuff cuz i respect peoples (idiotic) beliefs... but, hopefully the world will realize religion is stupid when all the religions go cage match on each other
-
...Im not really havin it cuz this season is sorta disappointin me... hopefully in the end ill love the season but i was WAY MORE EXCITED for 201 than the last new lost
-
...for being a Christian. To my face. Unprovoked. The idea that people don't go out of their way to offend Christians is false.
-
...Its like when i saw janet titty live... ha ha, suck it non dvrers (except you royston, youre cool)
-
indeed
-
...christians get a lot shit to their faces, but they also bring their idiocy to us in the shape of church and state... in MY LIFE, christians have done more wrong than muslims (since i live in a christian country instead of a muslim country) and i believe 911 was not fully committed by muslims... also, you guys dont take your religion seriously like compared to muslims... i know many muslims who actually follow their religion and i know many christians who do not fully follow their religion (except when it benefits them)
-
April 28, 2010, 11:39 a.m. CST
...And morally i am better than 99% of christians i know
by yourSTEPDADDY
...But yet i am goin to hell cuz i wasnt nearly drowned by some guy... no muslim ever told me i was evil or hell bound...
-
where I live. We got nothing relating to South Park - nothing even in English. Sunday's ep here had "JE NE SUIS PAS FRANCAIS" on the chalkboard. WTF!
-
a depiction of Mohammed. They only talked about it. What are the Muslims so offended about??
-
The outrage is because the filter is completely blowing the situation out of proportion. It's like a throwaway line in a video game being picked up by Bill O'Reilly or Nancy Grace and broadcast to their respective angry suburban interest groups. The filter purported the issue to be something that it wasn't, and a whole bunch of people got really pissed off and started making threats for no reason. Here a bunch of fundamentalist groups heard that some American show was going to depict Muhammed. Never mind the fact that Muhammed has been depicted thousands of times, written about millions of times, and is the most popular name in the freaking world, they conveyed this informaiton to a population that has never even heard of this show. Lots of Muslim reactionaries picked up on this, and are are now broadcasting their outrage toward Comedy Central, which in typical corporate form, bent to the will of a tiny interest group rather than take a stand for civilization. The whole affair is absolutely absurd. It's absurd that some people here think every Muslim is offended by this (Most, like most Americans are probably mildly annoyed, or entirely apathetic). It's absurd Comedy Central is such a spineless, worthless piece of crap. Most of all it's absurd that there exist people that would threaten the lives of others because they dared to put a picture on a tv screen.
-
Usually new episodes are on at 5 PM Sunday, 9 PM Sunday and 3 AM Monday morning (Sunday night, whatever). Anyway, Major Boobage was on at 5 PM and 3 AM. 201, the censored one, was on at 9 PM. Comedy Network prides itself on UNCENSORED airings, and they do show it unedited. But not this one. Huge, epic fail. Angry e-mail powers activate!

I think the censoring took away what was a fan-service episode
by Tall_Boy66
Seriously, 200 and 201 were top to bottom South Park fan service, and we're all cool with Muhammed because he's one of the Super Best Friends. So he's actually a hero in South Park land. And the way they dipped into South Park history, and the revelation of Cartman's father, was just gold for longtime fans. And an episode that was pretty much made only for fans raises their biggest stink yet. Real shame, that.
-
Also I fully endorse draw muhammad day because it expresses exactly what freedom of speech means, also it's funny because only babies would get their feelings hurt from a picture..are muslims babies?
-
..."what happened to you man? you used to be beautiful"...
-
...And you complain bout plot holes and story on lost? you just made my head go *poom*... i say good day
-
Mainly to see Pip get crushed by Mecha-Streisand and Tom Cruise winding up on the moon lifeless next to Willxyz.
-
Does that make me a terrorist? A Canadian terrorist? The worst kind... Oh I'm a ginger too, fuck.
-
And I enjoy them all.
-
According to internet fanboy logic you are only allowed to enjoy ONE of them so you'd better make a choice!
-
...Sure family guy has funny JOKES but the SHOW sucks... but American Dad? thats one seth m show i can watch...
-
However for me it's the perfect show to flip to during commercials on other better shows, it's a great little 3-minute time filler.
-
That's really, really nice.
-
Family guy prefaces them with 'REMEMBER THE TIME WHEN' and Lost prefaces them with *crazy wooshing noise*. <p> This post is irrelevant, however. For reading it you get NOTHING. You LOSE. Good DAY sir!<p> *poom*
-
...Get rid of black characters... *poom*
-
...I see no other reason turk said all those things i said to lostboy (unless he like bein in a and b conversations in which he can c his way out lol) and also who posted right after turk? lostboy! its cool, i wont mention it on lost boards
-
...its cool though... I wont tell your buddies (mac, jay, rizzo, josh and his hundreds of tb names, and whoever else that dislikes ya over there)...
-
...Simpsons supports South Park thru Bart Simpson chalkboard schtick... and Bart Simpson shows up on South Park when there was a impending muslim attack on the town... I just find that pretty funny... so... muslimrevolution or whatever is essentially backed by manatees and Seth McFarlane? right?
-
The end of Free Willzyx may be the hardest I have laughed in my entire life. I had to roll off the couch to put pressure on my lungs to get sufficient air to breathe. My girlfriend almost broke up with me. I had to drink water afterward to replenish the pint I had lost through tears. That image was my desktop wallpaper for two years. I have no idea why I still find it so funny.<p><p> And then they go and make this episode, come out of nowhere with it again, and I'm back on the floor again.<p><p>Thank you so much, Trey Parker. I love you in a way that transcends time, space and gender. (There was something about Mohammad in the ep?)
-
...your girlfriend sounds like a bitch... ive heard of people wantin to split for monetary, infidelity, and other good reasons, but for lolin? or in your case rofl?
-
...the ugly episode...when they showed those ugly kids, I laughed like shit, rollin on the floor, laughing out loud, all of that... and then they topped it when they took off that one ugly girls glasses...then Kyles response... fantastic...<p>...THANK YOU MATT AND TREY FOR THAT! also for that scene in Orgasmo when the son quits gerbil style for NO reason...
-
...when mr Slave (geezuz kryst) swallowed Paris Hilton whole thru his anus... then LEMMIWINKS pops up! yea, I love those crazy 2 guys...
-
...when Randy got slimed... wtmotherf... and then his speech in the end... "internet porn should only be used twice...daily" (paraphrased)
-
...Imaginationland, the Scientology epiosde, the Darth Chef, the Mormon ep, the Butters a pimp ep... yaknowwhat? THANK YOU MATT AND TREY FOR EVERYTHING YOU EVER DID (besides thats my bush)...
-
...I don't give a shit if someone draws a picture of Muhammad. Fuck it, it's not my job to tell OTHERS what to do. That's not what Islam taught me. I hate it when fucktards like RevolutionMuslim get attention like this -- it makes things THAT much more difficult for me, my family, and every other Muslim living in America. The only thing I ask from people who decide to draw pictures of Muhammad is to do so with understanding and respect. I don't mind comedy, as long as it's funny and not retarded. Remember that episode of "Seinfeld?" Where Jerry heard about his dentist converting to Judaism, and he went to go see his dentist's former priest? He asked Jerry: "Does this offend you as a Jew?" Jerry: "No, it offends me as a comedian." That's all anyone ever wants in this life anyway. (This response will probably be washed away in the flood of Talkbackers, but whatever. It's out there.)
-
...but you know the pictures wont be classy... examples of pics I heard so far include self-fellatio and molestation and/or both...
-
The reason you don't go around talking about zombie jesus on Sunday is because I'm pretty sure they haven't threatened to murder you for doing it. <br><br>Read that again.I mean it.<br><br>It's really not that hard to understand. Really stop and think about it for a moment. REALLY think about it. Sometimes the simplest things can take take to finally come home to roost up there in the ol' noggin. It doesn't make you stupid or slow, it's just the nature of these things. We get so much "but it's relehhhhhgion" BS drilled into our skulls, it can have a serious impact on the way we reason. Hell, it took me at least 16 years or so to break free.
-
No, I heard ya. The only problem with all that is the respect part. Understanding is important, it always makes comedy better. But respect and reverence? Never. That's not the way satire, comedy.. heck.. it's not even the way criticism works. I'll make an EFFORT to respect you, but no matter what.. not your religion. It's a set of ideas. People deserve respect. When ideas are respected above people, that's when we get things like genocide. And this idea is at the core of almost every religion. Reverence and respect for the words, the rules, the ideas. Sure, we get peace, freedom and justice.. as long as we're one of them. Practice whatever religion you want. I'd never stand in your way, or try to make it stop. But almost all religions see themselves as the one true religion. Respect is impossible because respect for one is an insult to the next. Tolerance, yes. Respect, never. Reverence, never. <br><br> Now, we could all possibly agree that some things, no matter who is depicted, are just TOO MUCH. And many around the world enforce rules regarding such things, applied to ALL entities, mythical or otherwise. In the end though, it is still simply what it is, repression/censorship. Some countries do it better than others. We appear to be learning though.
-
I figured as much. Ahhhh well.
-
I guess "respect" was the wrong word then. I probably should have said "acknowledge."
-
Yeah, I said it, episode sucks tonight.
-
A shark just bufed a retarded kid.
-
Maybe it's just because the last two episodes were so very good, but tonight's South Park was really fucking pathetic. I mean, ripping off a slew of old Loony Tunes characters for retarded kids? Lame. And Towlie is just not funny, never was. The only mildly amusing bit was Cartman's extended Jew rant. <p> Shameful way to end a decent run of shows.
-
Yes I know they had an episode this year about not reading into stuff, but I think there was a bit of a retort from the last few weeks. I think they went for the most oulandsish shit the can think of. I mean blowing a disabled kid up then having him raped by a shark is a hell of a lot more violent and just wrong compared to what happened over the last two weeks. I think that scene and the Cartman rant showed how some topics are okay to use so why is Viacom scared of some two-bit terrorists when they did, arguably, a lot worse to other beliefs.
-
...Was secretly hoping the season ender would be an entire episode consisting of a cartoon hand flagging a bird, captioned with "(Censored) YOU Comedy Central" and accompanied by a 22 minute long "BEEEEP". But sadly, that would've never happened anyway.
-
I could go around threatening people who tried to take my picture. "Infidel! How dare you try to visually depict Moe Hammond!"
-
To each their own, I guess, but I thought tonight's episode was great. I enjoyed it a whole lot more than last week's, which was pretty much void of laughs. I thought the whole Intervention spoof was hilarious. My roommates and I cheered with the "Walking on Sunshine" line. That's gotta be the best episode of Intervention ever. Nathan was a funny new character, and I hope to see him some more.
-
Nathan was actually introduced six years ago, albeit only for one episode. He debuted in Episode 803, "Up the Down Steroid", in which he sold Jimmy steroids so Jimmy could dominate in the Special Olympics.
-
...but i liked the jew rant (in retrospect to 201), nate, and the rape... and not a big fan of towelie
-
Way before South Park, Family Guy and the whole "Making fun of Retards isn't funny" news reports (Hi Sarah!). Nice to be reminded of that this country wasn't so PC. Anyone got links to the WWII Ban cartoons?
-
I laughed so hard I almost starred in The Usual Suspects, and then became such a religious nutbag that almost no-one felt comfortable around me anymore, including directors and producers. Almost.
-
That's fair. Sorry if I came across as abrasive. I can get pretty worked up about these subjects.
-
Funny bits, but as a whole, the whole documentary/intertitles thing didn't really work in my opinion. It got old by the end of the episode when it was still the same sound effect, etc. A few of them were funny, but it just wasn't a good structure. Good bits with Towelie though, and a decent ending. Wasn't the Spring capper I hoped for tho.
-
Their scenes interacting together were the funniest to me.
-
post a link to the episode streaming online. Please, and thank you.
-
Fucking Comedy Central has it set up to repeat on the schedule but has been running other South Park episodes or that piece of shit "Ugly Americans".
-
i think matt and trey proved they're far from being out of ideas. if the second half of this season is even near to the quality of this first have, then this will easily be my favorite season of south park.
-
Damn, I have to wait til Sunday to watch it here in Canada. Unless someone takes offense to pothead towels and Comedy Network pussies out and censors it.
-
Haven't watched intervention in a long, long, but this episode was still hilarious.
-
Two little laughs in the entire show. (The shark rape, and the kirsty alley joke) <p> God damn I hate Towelie episodes.

-
Maybe you have to have seen that, for this piece of shit to be funny.
-
Not only do we get a towelie intervention but we get a great send up to the Looney Tunes, if anyone didn't catch it the likeness of the Vulture, Paul Puma, Elmer Fudd, and Porky Pig, then you missed somethin special. Freakin hilarious!!! Oh and fuck the RevolutionistMuslims and Fuck Comedy Central for pussing out and holdin out on eps 200 - 201 (bittorrent is your friend)
-
Too many ideas that didn't go anywhere or didn't get enough room to breathe. I mean, Pete Puma reference and all he does is make the voice?!? C'mon! HIT HIM ON THE FUCKING HEAD! Pete Puma was one of the most pathetic antagonists against Bugs Bunny, there is gold in them thar hills. Here it's just a throwaway gag, and it is alright but it doesn't DO anything with it, it just "is". And Towlie now instead of 200/201? Not only did he fall out of character, but there was just WAY too much of him, as is often the case. And all Cartman does is rag on the jews again, how fucking clever. Shit, at first I thought he was the red team boss, looked and sounded like his retard character, but then I remembered EVERYBODY on the show now sounds like Cartman because of the lazy voice acting. All in all, a rather intensely lukewarm season finale. I much more enjoyed Ugly Americans, and that was hardly its finest half-hour.
-
i love the fact that we live in a day and age where an episode of a television show can feature a shark raping a mentally challenged child and feature a walking, talking towel covered in semen and be considered "tame".<p>but i get it. you're talking about the lack of commentary. each episode doesn't necessarily have to out-do the last in terms of carving up sacred cows of society. matt and trey have earned the right at this point to just do a silly episode for cheap laughs from time to time.
-
I didn't care for this episode. The only times I really laughed is when Nathan called Jimmy an asshole and proclaimed he hated Jimmy with every fiber of his being. I chuckled at Towlie, but he really isn't that funny anymore.<p>Oh well. They can't all be gold.

Showing Looney Tunes with dramatic, reality TV narration
by David Cloverfield
Is a very funny idea. Didn't really work though.

This dumbass chick who was addicted to... wait for it... COMPRESSED AIR CANS. The fucking air cans that you use to spray the dust out of your computer/keyboard/whatever. She would just fucking suck on the things and get high. She was fucking some guy because he would give her COMPRESSED AIR CAN money. <p> WHAT A DUMBASS.
-
I think the nation can survive without the "creative" minds behind South Park.

... are not entitled to protection under the Constitution.<p> That's quite a statement.
-
I finally managed to see 201, there are bits and pieces you can piece together on youtube, and my goodness did comedy central completely destroy that episode (which they are of course entitled to do on their network. Not that I agree with it of course) I noticed this morning that they say on southparkstudios that they aren't able to stream 201 until 5/22 due to contractual obligations, which is what they do with all the episodes. I wonder if it will make an appearance at that point....
-
especially the looney toon references and the whole intervention shtick.
-
Take that! Reality TV.... It was just spot on and every intertitle had me laughing my arse off
-
One of their best so far. I'm disabled myself and I laughed so hard last night. Anyone else notice the "tribute" to various loony tune characters? Funny stuff...
-
I've liked many of the eps this season cause they were clever, but most of them didn't make me laugh as much as the shark rape last night. And while Towlie eps might not be the funniest, he is family.
-
I am sorry but I laffed ass off. But now the show has humped the shark. And to all that are going to draw Mohomad, wear a rag over your face like some of those extreme cowards do.
-
Trey saying 'This program contains subject matter and language that may be disturbing to some viewers. Viewer discreeetion is advised.' Fuck ay.
-
Tuesday's ep centered on the alleged murder of an editorial cartoonist who drew Mohammed, and the cartoon itself had the offending bits covered in the over-the-shoulder shot.
-
Make fun of retards! Go for it! Nothing wrong with that. <p> My objection came to the repeated use of stale, lifted Looney Toons characters to prop up this episode. Even Mimsey and Nathan are lifted wholesale from old Bugs Bunny cartoons with the two gangsters. I'm surprised they didn't have Nathan say "Shut up shuttin up, rabbit."
-
If they ripped anything off from Ebaum's world, Ebaum's deserves it. That site has always been 98% material they ripped off from other people, sometimes removing the creator's credits and replacing them with their own or their logo. Fuck that site.
-
nah man..im not hating on them. they took an episode of intervention and went with it. i didnt know it was exactly like a character though. That link just shows it and why its even funnier
-
That 'cheesy opening title' is the same title they use for every episode of Intervention- it wasn't SP being sarcastic about the previous week (though it works that way too I guess).
-
...I noticed that one of the kids looked and sounded just like 'Droopy'.
