Well that pesky rumor about Kevin Smith's T-Shirt at Vulgarthon 98 has caused quite a
stir. The statement "Fuck Tim Burton" was allegedly on his shirt according to two spies
that attended. Well, today I have received over 12 emails from various attendees that say
there was no such shirt, and that he was wearing a simple 'Superman' shirt. Hmmmm...
Do we believe 12 or 2? No personally I very rarely care about such things, but I did think
it a funny anecdote and very appropriate for 'VULGAR-thon'. So I decided to dig a bit
further. So I contacted my own personal Amsel Adams and asked him to clarify the issue
for me. Amsel drove 10 hours from Ohio to New Jersey to attend. He packed a TV, a
Super Nintendo and a CD changer and 6 other hombres along the way. It was a geek
Woodstock of the Kevin Smith variety. To settle the Kevin Smith and the mysterious T-
SHIRT debacle we have this picture of (from left to right) El Hombre, Kevin Smith (he's
the one with the big red arrow pointing at his head) and Amsel, himself. Note the t-shirt!!!
It does in fact look like a regular 'SUPERMAN' shirt. Thus clearing it up. And when
Kevin was asked about this 'rumor' he said it was news to him (or something to that
degree) So thus clears up the 'Mysterious T-Shirt' Sheesh.... Now I've written about just
about everything.
