‘I Swear On My Kids!!’ 20 Are Now 10 In 2010!! Thursday's SURVIVOR 20.10!!
SPOILER ALERT !!
I am – Hercules!!
CBS says of tonight’s “Survivor” 20.10:
Two old friends rekindle an alliance and one castaway makes an unprecedented play, setting the stage for one of the most surprising Tribal Councils in Survivor history.
The two old friends appear to be “villain” Parvati and “hero” Amanda, who used to double-date with gravedigger James and porn-star Ozzy.
The Villains camp grew 62 pounds lighter last week with uberwaif Courtney Yates making her segue to the jury. The scales are again balanced – or would be balanced if villains Parvati and Russel didn’t both have immunity idols – as a merge force the heroes and villains to co-exist as one tribe.
Who’s left?
HEROES
Rupert Boneham
Colby Donaldson
Amanda Kimmel
J.T. Thomas
Candice Woodcock
VILLAINS
Sandra Diaz-Twine
Danielle DiLorenzo
Russell Hantz
Jerri Manthey
Parvati Shallow

He's been pretty entertaining this season.
-
someone dull winning it...
-
...if you know what I mean.
-
... JT gave Russel an idol, and once they merge he will find that there was no all-female alliance on the villain side. He will then realize he fucked up. Russel will then hit him while he's down, to preempt any kind of retaliation. Mark my words.
-
hee.
-
Mark my words, this will be the best episode of the season so far. Having a 5 VS 5 Merge would normally be entertaining enough but there are just so many possibilities of people flipping plus the fake female-alliance and you have an awesome episode.
-
Two of them have immunity idols while Amanda can simply look doe-eyed to keep from being voted off. An unstoppable final three.
-
Lets see-
Tyson's dumbass move cost him, Rob and Courtney(and probably Sandra) the game.
This in turn led to JT making the dumberass move of giving Russell the HII which is going to cost JT and probably Rupert and Colby the chance at winning.
If Tyson hadn't fucked and then Jerri flip up we would be looking at a totally different merge with Russell,Pervy and Danielle out of the game. With Boston Rob the villians would not have dropped three in a row and at the very least Candace would be gone.

Wait, who dated who? Somebody get me up to speed on this!
by goon bighead
who dated who?
-
She knows she can beat Amanda at the Final Tribal Council (or at least since she's done it before the odds are in her favour). Russell too probably knows how bad she is in defending herself to a jury so he'd likely be on board with that too. For a final 3, I don't think he can pick a better duo to face off against: the unpopular previous winner and the oratorically-challenged two-time loser.
-
Sure, in hindsight, with the idol being played, it was dumb. However, you have to consider his mindset. His place in the game was in jeopardy with Rob's plan.
What was the plan if the first vote ended in a 3-way tie? In 2-way ties, the two who are tied don't vote as they can only vote each other (votes cancel each other out). But in a 3-way tie, each of the tied players has two options in the second vote. So, assuming everyone votes again in the second round, but can only vote Russell, Parvati, or Tyson, what was Rob's plan for that?
If they all voted Russell, and he then used the idol, Tyson was going home. If it ended in a tie again, and it went to a challenge, Tyson risked going home.
If the tie-breaker after the second vote was a pick rocks situation, odds are someone in Rob's alliance would be getting the boot anyway. However, if that were the case, someone in Rob's alliance might not have wanted to risk a second tie, thereby risking going home themselves, and might have voted Tyson on the second vote, sending him home.
Basically, Rob's plan, while a good one, nevertheless meant Tyson's neck was on the line. In a tie, all it takes is one vote, one jittery or back-stabbing ally who goes against plan, to change the outcome. Tyson's fate rested in the hands of his allies - if any one of them wavered, he would be on his way out. He decided to take a chance, take control of his fate, and stray from the plan. It backfired, but he owned up to it.
As for Rob and the rest: if Rob thought his plan was so perfect and fool-proof, why didn't he put his own neck on the line and placate Tyson by giving him his immunity? If Tyson had immunity he would have had no reason to go off-book. Rob then could have assumed all the risk, but he didn't. -
Protected by the Evil Troll. It would be mythic, legendary.
-
How 'bout calling the Parvati/Amanda alliance, "Team Cameltoe"?
-
I think its gonna be Rupert & Sandra. I do not see Amanda & Parvati hooking up again, Parvati is in a soild alliance. Why flip now? If anything, they'll suck amanda in then boot her when the numbers work. Either way - I think they're referring to Rupe & Sandra
-
He's usually pretty forthcoming when shit's gonna go down
"Survivor fans..at the risk of sounding redundant. you will once again fall out of your chairs at how good the episode is. Yep. That good." -
I mean, if I know I'm going to fall out of my chair, I will brace myself from doing so during the episode, thereby making a liar out of Probst. Kind of like a self-negating prophecy. On the other hand, what if it's so good that despite my best efforts I am still propelled from my chair? I had best warn my downstairs neighbours of my impending impact upon my floor lest they be alarmed at the sudden and terrible thud and call the local constabulary.
-
I really don't care who goes as long as he stays. I'm getting a sinking feeling about it. Kind of how I felt the episode Boston Rob and Amber were eliminated from The Amazing Race All Stars.
-
Make it happen. I would not put it past Parvati. She is a sneaky chick.
-
But I would sooner question Darth Vader's "sad devotion to that ancient religion" than go against J.PROB.
-
Tyson fell for Russell's oh well looks like we've lost but I hope it isnt me going home schtick. Tyson would have at least had a chance if he'd followed the plan, instead he got himself booted. -
Seems to me the last few seasons, the Jury statement/question period has been kinda boring. No really good moments of PO'd jury members lashing out against the finalists like there seemed to be in the first few seasons. If Russell does get kicked out soon, hopefully he'll create a memorable Jury panel....I can picture him going on for 15 minutes about how he is really the greatest survivor ever and deserves to be in the finals instead of whoever is there.
-
lol. Big Jim's chair comments, lmao. Survivor humor - who knew!? Agree about Russell on the jury. At least he'll get to boast the mostest. Just lovin' this season. It is rapidly approaching being my favorite thus far.
-
Going with the plan meant he had a chance - a chance to stay in the game, or a chance of getting voted out. Going with the plan put his fate in the hands of others. He took a risk by throwing a fourth vote Parvati's way to try and avoid a tie and keep himself in the game. If he really believed Russell was voting Parvati, there would be no reason for him to do so too. If he did believe that, then yes, it was a dumb move on his part. Russell's vote would have given her 4, 3 for himself, 2 for Tyson, enough to send her home. I think he did it because he was worried about what would happen if there was a tie; if they had to vote a second time, if the idol might get played then, or if one of his allies might flip to protect themselves.
I will concede that he should have considered what would happen if he voted Parvati and she played the idol. Taking his vote away from Russell and wasting it on her would send him home, as it did. Maybe he did consider it but didn't think Russell would part with it being as big a target as he was.
Rob's plan was not perfect. Rob's side splitting their votes, an immunity idol possibly getting played, created various scenarios in which Tyson was at risk. Maybe the plan would have been better had they not gone after Parvati. She was, after all, the obvious second choice after Russell. Voting Danielle instead of either Parvati or Russell would have been less predictable. Maybe Rob should have assumed the risk and given away his immunity.
Coach voting Courtney the next week, at least to me, was the dumber move. He knew how everyone was voting; both sides made it very clear "this is how we are voting". He knew a vote for anyone other than Russell meant Rob was out. He could have forced a tie, then another, and left the elimination up to fate (either a challenge between Rob & Russell, or everyone picks stones). -
I know we're suppose to bitch and moan about Reality TV and all but there's some good stuff out there. This and last seasons of Survivor have been great. Crystal Bowersox on American Idol is fantastic. I would buy an album by her. The Amazing Race has been outstanding, that may change now that the mean rug munchers are gone. Finally, Deadliest Catch is only two episodes in and it's been riveting. It's taken a dark tone and a sense of foreboding leading up the death of Captain Phil.
-
You coattail riding complaining Outback loving bitch.
-
But will watch tonight. Russell needs to be able to explain the switcheroo at Tribal, but JT looks like he will believe anything that Russel tells him. Also, Big Jim, I love reading your posts. This is a great show to talk about, this is a talkback I look forard to each week.
-
now that I am done gushing about the talkback, I wish I was on Survivor and starving to death. I would eat Amanda and Parvati to stay alive. Plus, going into challenges, their legs would be so tired from the shaking! (Sorry. Not my normal self, but I needed to perviness out of my system.)
-
with my johnson, if you know what I mean. And if you don't, johnson means dick. And I mean they should both get on it. Hope that cleared it up. Also, I'm a little drunk. You can thank the NFL draft happening on Thursday for that.
-
A lot. I think I saw her season, and I thought she was okay, but she's really unpleasant to watch.
-
This is exciting so far.
-
Rupert Amanda Parv Russel would be pretty awesome.
-
where is this all going??
-
BUT MAKE SURE YOU DON'T FALL OUT OF YOUR CHAIR!
-
Russell has never once thought that Parvati was playing him.Poor little goaty troll man with the big ego.
-
*crosses fingers*
-
I AM WOW'D!
-
look a bit raped.
-
Didn't expect Parv to save my girl like that.
-
is very, very smart.
-
I knew something was up when they showed how everyone was casting their vote. Usually they'll just show one side doing it and leave it as a surprise which side the other is.
-
Parvarti was passing out immunity idols like she was Santa. Santa with a nice little rump.
-
She looked almost as shocked as the Heroes.
-
is a better player that Russell?
-
...include a clue to the final hidden immunity idol.
-
That preview with 'Sandra taking control of the game' doesn't make me happy. But it was inevitable. If Parv thought she would be buying Sandra's loyalty with that idol, she misjudged Sandra a lot. Sandra is a total snake.
-
The look on jt's face was priceless!
-
And get Russell kicked. That would own.
-
Only one of them has won this game.
-
I don't think there has ever been someone as clueless as JT. I mean, he made plodding, cro-mag Rupert seem like Sherlock fucking Holmes in comparison this week. JT may not be much brighter than the cows he pushes around back home. What a dumbass.
-
And the Heroes have no other option. Unless... Russell flips, pissed at the girls for keeping things from him. But the Heroes will never trust Russell again after that. The cleverest thing about the whole Parvati deal - the Heroes knew that Russell had the idol, and he gave it to Parvati. They don't know that Russell had no idea about the second idol. Parv is already a huge threat to them, so she never 'betrayed' them. The Heroes will be gunning for Russell, and Sandra will be spurring them on.
-
...even more than she wants to win the game. She loathes him. So unless another immunity idol pops up, Russell better damn well hope he wins the immunity challenge.
-
It was almost like she knew the way it was going to happen ahead of time. I know she thinks she can read Amanda, but still--was she really willing to take the chance and not play an idol herself unless she was 100% sure about what was happening? If so, she would have only given 1 idol out to Jerri. But she game two out. Which puzzles me because it still seems like a risky move to make. It could have been her name down there and she would have been fucked.
-
After 20 seasons you would think it would be hard to be surprised during a tribal council but that had me screaming in delight. Not one but TWO idols given away - Parvati is so much smarter than we give her credit for. She knows how the heroes think and then reacts accordingly. Parvati has a good chance of being the first DOUBLE winner.
-
been a long time since such a sick tribal council, that Parvati is no joke. Thank you for the entertainment girl. I can't fucking stand Russell and JT deserved that for the reasons stated. Awesome.
-
It was certainly the most complex and nuanced. Fabulous. This has been a great season and just gets better and better. And nice shots of Parv sporting the semi-see through bikini too. Can't wait to see how this roles out, but Russell is going to have to work some true troll magic to save his ass now. He's shrewd enough to know she controls the game now, but the question is, is she smart enough to bring Russell with her ? She could definitely paint him as worse than her, and he may be the only one she could win tribal against.
-
gave up his immunity necklace for the hot chick, and was voted out.
-
I can't remember.
-
Parvati had everybody pissed at her entering her vote w/ Amanda and still won. Russell couldn't do that last time. Russell might be good at psyching people out with hidden immunity idols, but Parvati can control a group of people (esp. women) like no other player ever in this game, besides maybe Earl.
-
The two best tribal councils ever have happened in the last 3 weeks.
-
If the players were smart, they would target Pavarti and Sandra, since they were prior winners and both did very well in front of the jury. And everyone should want Amanda to make it to the end with them since she performs horribly in answering those final questions. As far as tonight goes, Pavarti acted like she knew EXACTLY what was going on. Either she is very smart or was tipped off.
-
It was in fans VS favorites. Natalie Bolton got the immunity idol, and Erik was voted out. That was the season where Parv won.
-
It was her reaching out to Parv that screwed up everything. If only they had just left Russell as their "mole" the Heroes plan would have worked. She's smokin hot, but she blew it for everyone on her tribe.
-
...in Survivor history.Who- woulda-thunk-it?
-
Yes, her bod is nice but her face looks like she didn't get enough oxigen at birth. Parvati is where it's at. Hot bod and face.
-
Yeah, I remember the season, it had my favorite Survivor moment ever "It's just a stick!", but I couldn't remember who the girl was. Thanks for jogging my memory though.
-
I couldn't stand that chick.
-
The fact she was on the jury was excellent.
-
With the giving out of the idols, at first I was =O and then I was =D
I thought she screwed up by giving Sandra the first idol, but she turned around and gave Jerri one as well. That's also the first time in Survivor history that two idols have been played at the same time that I know of.
I just hope Russell can pull it off enough to make it to the finals. -
.....so has JT
and Tom.
And yet both are cooling their heels out of the game, and yet 'never-won-it Russell is still in it to win it.
Oh and for those that seriously think that Russell is heading anywhere next week, he just got the CBS famous "Next-week-on Survivor" Immunity-edit showing all signs pointing to him being the one to be voted out at the next tribal council. And not for the first time this Season.
.......and we all know how that worked out. -
Man, it HURT me to watch Russell give Parvati his HII. I tried not to believe it when everyone said how Russell's so whipped for Parvati, but man...this episode proved it. Granted, his crush on her is over with now, that's for sure! Definitely a crazy move that Parvati pulled with the two Idols. I'm wondering if that will make the heroes still (kind of) believe in the 'All-Female' Alliance...and how perhaps Russell fooled them simply because he wanted his Villains to do well. Russell's best options now are to 1] hope for another HII and find it like he used to in his own season, 2] start kickin' ass in the challenges for Individual Immunity and 3] swallow some pride and make nice with the Heroes, convince them that he was played by his own tribe (which he was). The only other thing I can think of for him, though HIGHLY DOUBTFUL, is to somehow align with Sandra (which the preview for next week teased a little bit, but again, I think it's extremely doubtful). Hopefully the preview of Russell losing his cool won't last long in the actual episode...he just can't afford to blow up on anyone right now. All that said...I do agree that Russell being on the Jury would/will be an amazing thing. He's literally the ONLY person on the show who doesn't give a shit about anyone else, so he'd be sure to tear a few people up when questioning...no, interrogating(!)...them! Oh, and this just popped in my head...another highly doubtful scenario, but...how cool would it be if the three remaining males took down all the females and it was Russell, Rupert and Colby as the last three? Ah, looking forward to Probst's blog on EW tomorrow!
-
Parvati is actually making the all-woman alliance real post-merge haha.
-
Parvati knows she needs to get at least one more (if not two)of the heroes out first before going after Russell. She knows that if the numbers are close someone (Sandra) will jump ship.
-
chess, calculus and then there's quantum fucking physics. Parvati has just proven herself to be the most strategic player in the game, probably ever. With that double deal of the HII to Sandra and Jeri, she 1) greatly increased the odds of tipping the numbers in favor of the villians (it's possible the heroes could've voted for Parv herself, but that would've been a tie at worst and even in that case it would've had to go to purple rocks. Parv surely calculated those odds and figured it was worth taking for the upside 2) she bought the loyalty of Jeri. Sandra's a tougher nut, but she was gonna flip if the heroes got the numbers. If the villains got the numbers, she might still flip (the previews indicate she is flirting with it). But if Parv gifted her with the HII, that might buy a little gratitude at least. 3) She totally threw Russell under the bus with the heroes. They have no idea about her subterfuge regarding her discovery the clue that led to her own HII. All they apparently know is that Russell played JT and by extension the heroes for fools with what he did with the HII he got from JT. 4) Beyond the HII move, she totally Jedi mind tricked that dumbass Amanda. If there was a phrase like butterface for a chick with a hot body and relatively nice face but the brain of a banana slug, then that's what you'd call Amanda.
-
is that it removed both idols from the game. The Heroes assumed she had one, and if she hand't distributed two of them, they still would have thought she had them - painting a target on her. Her only mistake was not cluing Russel in on the strategy. She needed to keep him close through one more vote. Now he's going to be gunning for her. Let's hope he isn't blinded by her tight ass.
-
Hasn't she learned by now that if Russell wants you gone, you're gone? And nothing screams "You're fucked" like smiling coyly as you reveal you fooled Russell into giving you his Immunity Idol for no real reason.
-
It was a tactical error from a player who's almost as cocky as Mr. Hantz. If she tells him about the idol, everything plays out the same way and he remains a close ally. All that changes is that he hands an idol to Sandra and Parv hands one to Jerri, which might mend more fences with Sandra than what she did. Russell will now start scheming independently, which can never be good for her. All he has to do is find another HII or win one immunity challenge, and he will have a new alliance working or be back in control of this one. The last thing she should have wanted was splashing cold water into Russell's face.
-
It was always Rob vs Parvarti with Russell as Parvarti's pawn. You heard her last night. "The idol turn the game." Well, she did it again last night.
Parvarti knew going into the game she was the biggest target and is using that to her advantage. Her whole "Boohoo, no one is talking to me" thing was a gimmick for everyone, including her own tribe.
Parvarti is extremely dangerous in Survivor...and in life. You all can have dumb ass horse face Amanda. I'll take Parvarti (or Courtney, did you see her on the jury? Wow.)
I'm still cheering for Sandra though. I loath Hidden Immunity Idols and would prefer a player whose strategy isn't based upon it to win.
In conclusion, Russell = overrated. -
*her, *turned

Watch Amanda stepping off the pole. 3rd cameltoe shot in three weeks. God I love this show!
-
"this morning after cops say he attacked somebody at a street festival" SO for the cops, shoving someone actually mean attacking ? I shove people all the time, I dont get arrested
-
With the numbers game it's become and the way the alliance dynamics are working, I don't see how 3 villains don't make the final 3. If Russell is one of them, none of the other combinations of jury members would get him the votes. They see Parvati as equally crafty. Russell needs to either a)win a ton of immunity challenges just to impress people, or b) somehow stay in but allow his alliance to get voted out in a way where he doesn't seem to share the blame, so they'd still vote for him. I don't see either one happening.
-
And the women taking control was inevitable. I called it a couple weeks ago. Sandra, though, blech. Loved the way the look on Russell's face changed from the beginning to the end of Tribal. Amazingly good stuff.
-
A strange universe the opposite of our own were fat dweebs like Bigtuna and Jayemel speak ill of a hot girl like Amanda. Horse face? Not enough oxygen? Are you fucking guys for real? She wouldn't ever entertain the thought of going near your shriveled up little tiny dicks..don't even speak her name, dont even mention it. Better hope the Walternate doesn't get wind of this..
-
stfu, amanda has a great bod but she is the definition of butterface. bigtuna and jaymel got it right. Parv on the other hand has a great bod AND cute face.
-
Seldom does Survivor have "holy shit" moments for me anymore, but I love the show and have for years. First off with the tension with the two tribes was amazing. But the lat 10 minutes delivered something that must make the makers of "Lost" jealous. It's one of those moments that I tell myself, this is why I watch this show. Easily things like that last night, make the show. Cheers to the creators for a really great episode.
-
I'm just chomping at the bit to find out how that move plays out. It either will go really well for Parv and bad for Russell, or visa versa. And I think it may all depend on if Russell seeks revenge or comes to Parv like a dog with its tail between its legs. Just the same, that was just too sweet. Like a butterfly opening its wings before a worm.
-
Way to slum there, optimus122.
-
Butter face my ass, seriously I would love to see what some of you low brows are fucking these days.
-
And you don't like Fringe..all I needed to know. Let me guess, Lost sucks too right? Why don't you and the Captain and big fat tuna get together and have a nice sausage fest and get to know one another.
-
http://tinyurl.com/2ej5b76
-
Optumus fringe and LOST are insanely epic but like I said before - incredible body terrible face. Doesnt mean I wouldn't bang her silly. But she does have a fraking horse for a parent. In the end though Big Lil is the hottest survivor. Ever.
-
but I am grateful I wasn't drinking anything or I would have done a spit-take. Parvati pulled a Russell, and did it twice - would that be a Double-Russell?
Russell looked pissed; she took his idol even though she had one of her own which she never told him she had, and she gave them both away. It was a bold move but, while it protected Jerri & Sandra, it left him vulnerable.
I think he's also pissed because he was wrong about the Heroes. He was so sure he'd snowed them, and that they would vote Parvati. Parvati, on the other hand, and obviously without any guidance from Russell, deduced that the Heroes were playing her, trying to force out the idol, and would vote out one of the two least obvious players. Good strategy on the Heroes' part: get rid of your biggest threat by taking out their power base; something Galu failed to figure out last season when they kept targeting Russell (The game is "Outwit, Outlast, Outplay"; "Outnumber" could be added to that mantra). Sure, it didn't work out for the Heroes, but it was still a good strategy. Russell might even be thinking she's a lot better at the game than he thought, that she really is as dangerous as everyone keeps saying she is.
I'm glad JT was the first Hero to go. His dumb plan and his refusal to see Russell as anything other than "a good ol' country boy" was just dumb game play. Nice to see Rupert saying "Russell's on the Villains tribe for a reason" (D'uh!). Too bad he didn't make that argument a little more strenuously before JT gave away his idol (or maybe it just occurred to him). -
but the brain of a banana slug"How about "Butterbrain"?
-
most scripted shows this year.
-
You know, in the case of a Butterface (e.g. Edyta from DWTS) and Reverse Butterface (e.g. Courtney) the implication is that you'd do them "but for" their face or body respectively. In the case of Amanda, is the fact that she has the intelligence quotient of a Bassett Hound a "but for" qualifier? You'd still hit that anyway? Ah, whatever, she's a Butterbrain.
-
If he had been able to keep it secret. When the girls walked up onto him he tried to make it work for him by getting another guy on his side from the other tribe. Would have had a chance to work if he didn't pick the evil Russell Hantz as the guy to save heh.
-
I see on plenty of forums where a lot of guys think Pavarti is the one with the great bod, butterface. Don't believe me? Just google her name and read some other forums. I actually think she is hot, much hotter then she looks in real life when she is 10 lbs heavier and wearing makeup. Is Amanda gorgeous? No but to say she is ugly is a stretch.
-
were concerned about JT's plan as well. Amanda said something about it last week. I think the heroes just went along with it because: a)they really didn't want JT using the idol himself, b) If JT's plan worked, that would be fine and dandy for everyone, and c) If JT's plan didn't work, he'd be the one most likely to get picked off by it. So the plan wasn't too big of a deal to them. They seemed more threatened by having the idol in their camp (what is it? radioactive?) than by the villains having it. Sure, it could mean the heroes are down by one, but that was going to happen sooner or later and the mad scramble to form new alliances was going to kick in anyway. Granted, right now things look pretty bleak for the heroes, but a couple of individual immunities and a couple of hissy fits by Russell can really change the landscape. I called it for Parvati in week two with all of the weird foreshadowing the editors were doing, but at least after last night's bold move I can respect her much more if she wins. I've never liked her much, but hell, right now she's the only one playing the game at the level it takes to win!
-
Yep, and I don't like Fringe. I hope your brain didn't just explode.
And Parvarti has large gums, giving her a strange smile. -
I don't think the jury will give it to her especially since she already won once before. Too many haters will be on the jury and if Russell is there and even thinks she is the reason why his whole goal in life will be to make sure she doesn't win the money.
-
Still just going "wow..." when I think about how that went down last night. All-time reality tv moment right there. In regards to some of the things said up above here, I'm not sure the jury wouldn't give it to Parv again. First, she's REALLY good at the game without being totally evil. Second, some of those people genuinely like her. They might award her the cash again. I think it would be great, GREAT television if the final three included Parv and Russell and NEITHER of them ended up getting the dough.
-
You will end up a happy man I think.
-
But still, sweet! :)
-
If they wanted her gone so bad, why didn't the Heroes all do what they SAY they were going to do and write Parv's name down? She would have been GONE! Fuck!

How much editing is done. We see a whole show where heroes say they are going to test Russell and then vote out another person then who they tell him. Then out of the blue everyone votes for Jerri and for some reason Parv does the craziest thing and gives away both of her idols. Those idols could have kept her playing with no worries at all until there were few people left. She had to be told that either Jerri or Sandra were goners but they didn't show us that.

Amanda probably told the rest of the Heroes. What they didn't know was whether she got it from Russell (who got it from JT) or if it was another one. They weren't going to vote Parvati when their plan was to trick her into using, and wasting, her idol. Although, I don't quite get how, if Parvati had an idol, it would prove Russell was lying. Maybe it was his, maybe it was one she had. Or did they tell Russell they were voting Parvati, and if he didn't vote for her it mean the was lying?
The Heroes' plan wasn't that well thought out (or maybe we just didn't see it). Even if Parvati didn't give away her idols, the vote would have ended in a tie. Maybe they were hoping one of the Villains would flip in the second vote and vote Jerri instead of JT.
Since Sandra had told Rupert she was the last of her alliance, they could have used that. They didn't know if they could trust Russell or Sandra. So why not test both? Tell Russell they are voting Parvati and tell Sandra they are voting Russell. One they know has an idol, the other they suspect has one. Either one takes the bait and votes against their former tribe, it's one less vote against JT, leaving the Heroes 5 votes to throw Jerri's way (or Sandra, because even if she's telling the truth, voting off one of the Villains gives the Heroes a numerical advantage). Even if it turned out both Sandra and Russell were lying (conflicting stories to really confuse the Heroes), and both relayed the plan to their tribemates, it might make both Parvati and Russell paranoid enough to play both idols, thereby taking both idols out of their hands.
Amanda is a horrible liar and Parvati did say she knew Amanda was lying to her and figured their plan was to trick her into wasting her idol. She knows that the Heroes gave Russell their idol (although the Heroes don't know she knows), and therefore knows they'd be leery of him using it. I think she's smart enough to know that they weren't going to risk voting for him, on the off-chance he might play it. Danielle had immunity, so the safest bet for the Heroes to vote for was Sandra or Jerri. Giving an idol to one of them was a 50-50 chance she'd pick right, so she gave one to each. Danielle had immunity, Parvati and Russell were less-likely to receive votes thanks to the threat of their idols, and Sandra and Jerri played the idols. The entire Villains tribe, in part thanks to Parvati's intuitive thinking, was protected from that vote. And it was thanks to JT's dumbass move that gave them the means to pull it off. -
out from Sandra. I don't think it was Amanda. I was surprised that Colby didn't go along with Rupert, cause I'm sure Colby hates Russel. We could've had a Parv/CT tie, and then Parv played the idol, and CT went home, but she would still have the second idol.

Is what I kept thinking. Just get rid of him and let the flopping commence.

The idol they gave him

as epic a move as that was she should have been on the level with Russell so they could have devised a better plan. Now they have no idols and Sandra is gonna flip, especially since she went right to Rupert and that they didn't write her name down. I think that proves to her that the Heros wanted her around. Unless they win immunity Russell or Parv are gone.
Also, what would have been even more epic is if Sandra turned around and gave JT her idol and foiled Parv's move...now that would have been awesome. -
Sandra giving JT her idol would have been a real fall off the chair moment. Parv should have given Russel one of the idols back and let him hand it to Sandra in an attempt to bring the tribe together, i.e., getting Sandra a reason not to flip and try and vote off Russ next week AND givng Russ a reason not to get pissed at Parv. Watching Ponderosa: coach is pissed at Russ instead of honoring the whole knighthood schtick and Russ' idol give-away from three weeks ago, a bad omen for Russ' chances with the jury. He might be the one person Amanda could beat for the money.

He's been pretty successful at getting the girls to do what he wants so far - and even when they surprised him, it was to his benefit. If I were Russell, I'd figure that the only way the jury would pick me would be to have two former winners in the final three - Parvati and Sandra are looking very very good to Russell about now. (By the way, you could make a hell of an argument that SANDRA is the greatest player so far, since she doesn't have the Parvati hotness, or even a particularly winning personality.)
