I am – Hercules!! “Smallville” received an early renewal for a 10th season last month, but The CW may now be thinking renewal came too early. Friday’s episode apparently marked another new season low for a series that had already dropped substantially from its prior season, when it ran on Thursdays. Preliminary reports put Friday’s episode at a .7 in the 18-49 demo, low even by The CW’s super-low standards. "'Melrose Place' territory," as the Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd puts it. The episode attracted just 1.9 million viewers, possibly an all-time low and certainly a big step down from the 4.8 million viewers it averaged over its first eight seasons.
