Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a bit of an update on the Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis directed MACHETE, which marks the first of the Grindhouse fake trailers to actually be made (and hopefully not the last).
As you'll remember from the trailer, Machete stars Danny Trejo who is the wrong Mexican to fuck with and he'll be joined by Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan (as a hot nun no less), Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Steven Seagal and Robert De Niro. Admit it, you want to see this movie if for no other reason than it has the most bizarre cast in any movie ever made.
I guess to play up the "Day Laborer" aspect Fox has set a Labor Day weekend release for the action flick, per Variety.

Now we just have to force Edgar Wright to make DON'T and Eli Roth to get THANKSGIVING out into the world!
