Breaking bad = Weeds with no tits.

Fuck Undercover Boss, Cyndi Lauper on Celebrity Apprentice is where it's at.
April 4, 2010, 8:05 a.m. CST
It's like watching a trainwreck happen to Walt in slow motion, and thus I prefer to steel myself and watch all the seasons eps in one viewing. The Pacific is good, but I preferred the unit-centric BoB. Leckie and the rest of his unit are excellent, but I'm curious how I'll feel once he's shipped back to the US in coming eps.
April 4, 2010, 8:18 a.m. CST
Can they really pull it off? If an older white guy all of a sudden shows up working an entry level job at your company and is followed by camera crews, be really nice and give a really good sob story.
April 4, 2010, 9:16 a.m. CST
To me, these would be the same reasons to distrust the authenticity of a season ONE.
April 4, 2010, 10:16 a.m. CST
I just laughed my ass off watching last Sunday's episode, everything from the opening "Horse with No Name" sequence, to the pizza, to Saul the Lawyer, it was just freakin' HILARIOUS!! Loved it, loved the show.
April 4, 2010, 10:19 a.m. CST
I tried to watch the first couple of episodes and I couldn't. Don't know what's wrong with it, maybe it's just the Acting/Writing/Directing, but it's just not making it for me. Does anybody like it?
April 4, 2010, 10:40 a.m. CST
Not every episode can be about fighting. This series is following the lives of 3 particular soldiers instead of a whole company like Band of Brothers did.
April 4, 2010, 11:20 a.m. CST
Honestly, anyone who didn't feel something during last weeks episode is a robot. It can't ve all fighting an war and death, because those things mean nothing without knowing what they are fighting for, who these men are, and why they fight. I saw someone call last weeks episode a "days of our lives" soap opera. That person is a fucking moron, in my opinion. When I try to empathize with those guys, what they went through, saw and survived...I weep usually, because I can't relate. We just don't have what those guys had anymore. The thnh they sacrificed....it's unfathomable. I find The Pacific wonderful.
April 4, 2010, 1:43 p.m. CST
Now with Bar Graphs (in Colour)!!
I wonder if Herc will start using Pie Charts for each night's ratings.
April 4, 2010, 1:53 p.m. CST
Its not cinematic, or commercial in any way. Which is why it might be boring to some...however it is very realistic in every way imaginable...the attention to detail is amazing. Everything from the weaponry, to the sound effects, and how the deaths are depicted...are as real as ive ever seen since Saving private Ryan. Even the scenes in the Melbourne ep. are precise...the look, the vocabulary they used. Its not supposed to be a popcorn edge of your seat series, its a document of what really happened in the Pacific. Also, Breaking Bad is probably the best series on TV today. Love it, its my guilty pleasure...im all for Walt, Skylar is a cold hearted bitch!

that a Desperate Housewives repeat helped out Family Guy. If he is and it's true my only question is who tunes in to F.G. when there is no D.H.? I would think the two audiences couldn't be more different. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe wives and girlfriends allowed their mens to turn the channel to something they wanted to watch for a change. Or, if you like one shitty show, you'll watch any shitty show, ZING!
April 4, 2010, 2:47 p.m. CST
I'm not surprised to see ratings tail off for Episode 2. Most new viewers were expecting some bad-ass Sopranos ripoff in the season premiere (no thanks to AMC's marketing campaign). What they got was a denouement for the Season 2 finale. This show is a slow burn with occasional outbursts of violence. It ain't 24. I wish people could make the distinction and just appreciate Breaking Bad on its own terms.
April 4, 2010, 3:42 p.m. CST
I like the charts! Add a little thumbnail in the corner with Ross pointing at it!
Seriously, easier to see at a glance what is going on.
And, seriously, give Ross some props, Herc...

It's not just the great story, it's beautiful to watch and the acting is top notch too, across the board. The only show that's ever come close in terms of pure quality, is the Wire. It's just a fucking work of art.
April 4, 2010, 5:36 p.m. CST
April 4, 2010, 5:44 p.m. CST
Here's hoping he's used extra well this season. RIDICULOUS that he was originally going to be killed in the season one finale. The show now is so much about him being Walt's pseudo-son. The intro to this episode is up on AMCtv.com, and it is crazy good. It seems to pretty much outline where the whole season is going.
April 4, 2010, 6:50 p.m. CST
The Wire was already outclassed by The Shield.
April 4, 2010, 7:53 p.m. CST
Weeds=weeds with no tits. How could you miss post-preggo Skyler this season? And even Walt has a better rack than Nancy Botwin. Give me Bad-style drug violence over Weeds-style reefer ineptitude any day.
April 4, 2010, 8:08 p.m. CST
Weeds writing doesn't break the bad.
April 4, 2010, 10:02 p.m. CST
3 straight boring worthless episodes.
April 4, 2010, 11:18 p.m. CST
I have no idea what show you were watching akkosa... tonight's episode was great. The last scene was amazing.
April 4, 2010, 11:46 p.m. CST
Skyler for the win!
April 4, 2010, 11:53 p.m. CST
I felt like vomiting through it, I was so uncomfortable. It's pretty much impossible for Walt to have a happy ending now. Could season four be him in jail?
April 5, 2010, 1:16 a.m. CST
@Crow3711 agreed about the pacific. i love it so far and enjoy its focus on the wider story instead of constant battles. that way when the battles show up they are much more tense as well. i read a review that called the show a "tone poem" and as i watch the show i very much agree with that. the show creates a very distinct mood and then holds it throughout
April 5, 2010, 1:24 a.m. CST
Undercover Boss premiered right after the superbowl? Whats your point?
April 5, 2010, 3:14 a.m. CST
if walt were tony sopran hed have ted sleepig with the fishes in no time but walts never actually committed murder that time with krazy 8 was self defense

Lots of ammo for the people who have always considered Skylar a bitch, before she knew Walt was really up to. There's no doubt now, and it looks like Walt won't be the only one who descends into a darker place.

Another beautifully shot episode, but that's nothing new.

I guess we found out what happened to the dipping sticks after Walt flung the pizza. In the last episode, they landed under the car, but weren't there when he drove away...which kinda seemed like a continuity goof.

Youtube has some segments from the Paley panel--it turns out the Twins really are former badasses, and acting novices. One has interesting tattoos on his eyelids...
April 5, 2010, 7:33 a.m. CST
The show is proving disapointing.

And I just love the dimwitted goobers that are complaining the season is boring so far because they need a shootout fix to excite their pee sized brains. If you want dumb mindless action go pop in a Heros DVD. This shit is about top shelf writing and acting. Aaron Paul's acting last night alone was Emmy worthy. But on another note..do you really tell your husband who you recently discoverd is in the drug game that you boned another dude while he has a big ass knife by his side?
April 5, 2010, 2:17 p.m. CST
Although watching it in a giant, season chewing binge is the best. 1 ep at a time once a week, excruciating. Fuck, I WANNA SEE WHAT HAPPENS, FUCK! Goddamnit! And watching Tortuga again was awesome!! ANd Jesse cooked at the end too, awesomerr!!!
April 5, 2010, 2:20 p.m. CST
BB could use some more Q eps, Q causing more crazy things to happen to Picard....erm I mean that other Bald guy would be funny. Starring METH as the dilthium crystals. And Kombo as Worf. And SKinny Pete as Ensgin Crusher. And Walt Jr. As Data....
April 5, 2010, 2:26 p.m. CST
Meth......the finale frontier. These are the Voayges of the star ship Methrerprise, her continuing mission to bodly go where no tweaker has gone before... *que warp sound*
Doooo, dooo dooo ,dooodeedeeeed dooooooo, daaa daaaaadaaa da da da...da da da da (TNG theme music)
STarring
Kombo as worf (cut to Kombo is klingon make up looking to camera, grinning)
Walt as Capt Picard J. Heisenburg (show fottage of Walt crashing around in capts chair during a space battle)
Walt Jr as Data (show crippled waltjr struggling to operate the console...then turning and muggin for the cam)
Skinny Pete as ensign 5th class crusher (show pete smoking meth and then grabbing back control of the nav console)
And Skaylar McFadden as Dr Crusher (SHow Sky being a bitch).
