TRUE BLOOD's Season 3 Debut...

HBO has set a premiere date for TRUE BLOOD Season 3.

Pay net's vampire drama "True Blood" will begin the 12-episode run of its third season June 13. Season two, which ended Sept. 13, drew record ratings, making "True Blood" the cabler's most-watched contempo show.

So says Variety HERE. As I've previously indicated, TRUE BLOOD touches on some of the same material as the TWILIGHT stuff - but far more cleverly and less...abrasively. I'm not intricately familiar with the TWILIGHT books, so I may be wrong here, but the TRUE BLOOD universe appears to much more expansive than TWILIGHT - encompassing various fanciful creatures from mythology and lore, and a more complicated web of interconnections. HBO was completely jerky (and more or less rude) when I was talking to them on the phone yesterday, but I still wish them all the best with both this show and THE PACIFIC. Interesting stuff.
