"Live TV!?"
-
And who says the internet isn't full of morons?
-
These are still February episodes. There was no Month Zero.
-
My favorite band ever. I hope they kick out something interesting. If they played one song from their new album and then something like Masters of War, they would probably endear themselves to a LOT of new listeners.
-
Pearl Jam are a great band however they are one of the most hypocritical bands ever. This is a band that complained about Ticketmaster and their high prices and now it's nearly impossible to see them live (and it's not cheap). They complained about music videos but still make them. They even once complained about other bands covering The Who because they felt they weren't worthy enough. Again, PJ is a great band, Eddie is a talented songwriter/singer but they will never be Fugazi because Fugazi always sticks by their beliefs.
-
When they return in April. come on, do a little research...the hosts for the next several weeks are out there long before this site ever "reveals" them
-
I think Pearl Jam is probably pretty happy they are not Fugazi. Most people have actually heard of Pearl Jam.
-
Fugazi has the better mission statement, but Pearl Jam makes better music. I don't give a shit about politics or principles as long as a band can kick out the fucking jams. And Pearl Jam is impossible to see live? They've toured nonstop for years and come to played every major venue in the US. If you can't find tickets anywhere, you might be retarded.
-
Huh?
-
...Only good thing this season was they taught me bout TCV... i wish JT could come host a ep this season to give us a good one...
-
...I wonder when they will make a Mighty Ducks four... come on Keenan and Joshua!
-
They could be on the actual Mighty Ducks by now.
-
anyone else find it hilarious that the promos for SNL have an ad at the start at them? You have to watch an ad to see an ad.
-
...is really live. When did SNL go to this lip-syncing, pre-recorded bullshit?
-
An American Idol style event in which the winner hosts the show--they could do it too. They've demonstrated many times in the past they can take people with no acting or theatrical background and have them host.
-
They do have a "Host SNL" contest. It's called show business. Recent winners include Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis.
-
the ONLY thing that would get me to watch snl
-
PJ donate alot to various charities. there ticket price are high, but atleast they do things with the money. Also when your a ten club member (there fan club) when you buy tickets for a show, you pick them up the day of at the venue/ this stops people from buy the good seats and reselling them on stubhub for6 times there value. Which is what happen to every other rock band. Stubhub is legal scalpping, nothing more.
-
Pearl Jam will not be lip syncing.
-
is now complete! A little sidekick role, then a shitty action movie star, warm our hearts on SNL, he's good to go again.
-
Some little old lady won it. This time they eschewed the contest and just hired Betty White.
-
It isn't enough that he's in every movie since 2006?
-
the show sucks...no redeeming value.
-
Repo Men looks rentable. Is this the first Jude Law action flick? Maybe he's finally embracing his receding hairline ala Jason Statham and leaving his poor attempts at cinematic pretty boy behind. The last memorable Jude Law character was in Perdition. Coincidentally (or not), that film also showed us what Jude Law will look like in five years.
-
Once again, it's idiotic to expect people to watch a 30 sec ad to watch a 17 sec ad. Then again, I watched it. (the SNL ad.. I minimized the browser for the clip before it)
-
I cannot think of one movie he was any good in, not one.
-
Please. They tour all the time. And by the way, they're a truly talented and energetic live band. I saw them twice in August. In fact, they just announced an American tour for May. Tickets go on sale Monday. You're welcome assholes (just kidding, I love you all, yes even you, JettL)
-
I bet they do an Eric Massa sketch (prob with Jason Sudeikis as Glenn Beck) I remember when Pearl Jam did their 1st SNL with Sharon Stone as host. Hope it's a good show tonight!
-
This was one of the best seasons in years, and it seems to have died after the show returned for the second half of the season. The Jon Hamm episode has been the exception. I have very low expectations for the show tonight.
-
Along with the Jon Hamm episode. I mean- Hamm and Buble (Bubbly) still makes me laugh. Let's hope tonight continues the trend.
-
"I always win"
-
...was the best, if only for "Potato Chip".
-
What Up With That. Total bummer I missed it live, but Little Jessica was awesome. Much better than the Tyson Christmas episode. The whole production was just a bit off that night. I cannot wait for the must see Betty White episode What Up With That!
-
only time will tell...
-
NO!!!
-
am i crazy or was he not in the opening credits??
-
Yep, she's back.
-
And I was becoming really disinterested. I don't care how animated Frenchy thinks he is, I am not understanding a damn word.
-
come on Jon Hamm...
-
Is Ford featured because it didn't take bailout money, or is this going to be a series of ads through the show.
-
Bring it on that piece of comedy ass
-
And white people do not like non-whites. This is great. Wiig should totally play Wiig as a freak in every skit.
-
So who's performing the week after that, a singing fetus?
-
Is this? Maybe it is that one...no...it is the other one...I think...
-
What, is there a "supershermdawg" out there somewhere, too?
-
Is there a flat rate, or do movie stars like Jude Law get more, while Tina Fey gets another appearance on her NBC bulk discount?
-
right after the first one. I knew SNL was anti-female, but damn.
-
Was kinda funny name dropping himself.
-
It's almost like I told you all that HOURS ago.
-
....from Say Anything earlier today.
-
what hole did they pull him out of?

The other guy was Julian Casablancas from the Strokes
by redbull_werewolf
glad to finally see a video for that song, next to on a baot and jizz in my pants it's one of the best trecks from lonely islands albumhopefully this video gives the song exposure, its surprisinly a good song
-
Sleeping is sounding pretty good. PJ should play Jello Peglegger!
-
Somebody is just BEGGING to have his spleen vented.
-
Plus, I think that's Chloe the pornstar playing the cello.
-
ON THE WING!!!

The one in the Twilight Zone movie still creeps me out.
by orionsangels
-
but I still want Bruce Campbell first!
-
It's been awhile, but had the classic 'Get a Life' line at the Star Trek convention.
-
crap, that was even before ST:TNG started. they could fill an entire show just with star trek crap
-
A FUCKING SEASHELL.

Never gets old! (well, maybe a little)

i was hoping that underground concert was a new one
by redbull_werewolf
but unfortunetly they just reran the old one from a few months ago, too bad, it would seem easy enough just to make another one with different bands and stuff that would be at the concert, hell even reuse the mrs potato dick and ass dan bitswonder why they reran it instead of just making a new one?
-
sigh
-
It wasn't funny the first time.
-
The first one of these was literally the least funny thing I've ever seen
-
the typist has NEVER been funny
-
They cut it short.
-
don't think that was part of the skit.

Any reason no one mentioned the Jerry Seinfeld appearance?
by pardon_my_zinger
Just wondering.
-
I would've like a Vincent Price bit, but I'll take a Twilight Zone parody as well. Say what you will about some of the other material these past two seasons, but the retro stuff is some serious funny.
-
I enjoyed this week's episode.
-
I was thinking it was maybe just missing Amy that it fell flat for me, but I think the fault was it just wasn't a strong or wry enough "really?" subject to hang a bit on..
-
[pulls fingers away from mouth in kissing gesture]

Cranky old man who's been watching since season 2 sez: other then Update guy and black guy from Nickelodeon, I still don't know who any of the male cast members are. And the only female one I knew was fat chick who got fired: she was sexy but, honestly, not really all that funny. Casey Wilson, See, at least I remember her name. Also, all bands since New Wave sound the same and I still can't tell Pearl Melon from Blind Jam.Also, Seinfeld was a b-list stand-up with a sit-com, Okay, good ratings due to a fine cast and great guest stars and writing and they quit while they were ahead, but how does that translate to Jerry being the biggest star in Hollywood - and does anyone but NBC really thing he is?Also, the Iranian or Iraqi or Persian chick is hot - give me a few years and if she hangs onto the job, I may learn her name. Naseem Pederast or something? Now Tina Fey could write. Having her host is cool news. But please please please, is there any possible chance that they won't have her do her impression of the losing vice presidential candidate in the last election? Old news. Like getting Lovitz to come back for another Dukakis sketch. "I can't believe I'm losing to this guy." Classic. But ancient history. "You Betcha. Maverick." Ditto.
-
You don't think he was good in "The Talented Mr. Ripley"?
-
Stone Gossard do the "hoedown" dance ala Ashlee Simpson at the end of the show?

Whenever anyone says Justin Bieber. I hear Justin Beeper or Beak
by orionsangels
-
was here first but lied dormant until now.
-
his fans arent old enough to stay up this late i dont know anyone over the age of 16 who cares about his bubblegum shite....great choice
-
I'd watch.I'll watch anyway, but probably tape it and FF the musical. So is this kid the new Bobby Sherman or Shaun Cassidy or Andy Gibb or something?
-
I don't even know where to start so I won't. Have Galifianakis do a set for ten minutes every episode so I'm guaranteed a laugh outside of Weekend Update.
-
http://tinyurl.com/y995hbv Wow. Leno beats Letterman in every way possible, including the coveted 18-34 demographic. I think Leno's an ass clown and what he did to Conan was wholly shitty. At the same time, Dave's act hasn't been any good since at least when Warren Zevon died. Maybe CBS ought to dump Dave for Conan?
-
I've never seen Or did they pull it out of their ass? It was a very lame episode on par with JLo's piss poor outing. This ep made last weeks actually look somewhat OK and that's saying something since last weeks sucked also.
-
Sorry, Junior. I'm already taken...by me!
-
...until I saw "till April!!!'
-
Jay Leno's getting great numbers again? And that proves what? That there are a whole lot of dumb, boring people in America? In it's day America's Funniest Home Videos was a top rated show, did that by any stretch of the imagination make it a good show? Bob Saget making a groan inducing one-liner after a dog pulls off a kids diaper? Or did it just prove that there are a lot of dumb, boring people in America?
-
...but neither did his bad ratings. Strangely enough, however, this site seemed to think they did.
-
That the dumb people who watch his show at 11:30 don't actually like him enough to watch him at 10 when there are better things on.
-
they just want safe, cozy familiarity.
-
According to the article above Leno also beats Letterman in the 18-34 demographic. Understand I'm not a fan of Leno but facts are facts. And the fact is that Letterman consistently loses to Jay in every demographic.
-
So that's one bonus.
-
What's the outside chance you are really Coughlin's Laws?
What's the Outside Chance you are on Jay Leno's payroll?
What's the Outside Chance you have a really, really big chin? -
I think Leno's a tool. I think what he did to Conan sucks. But he's beating that other tool Letterman's ass.
-
Here's a real question for AICN, though not about SNL. I saw one of those "Crazy King" BK commercials with a chubby blonde with a squeaky voice and wondered "Is that Victoria Jackson?" This week they aired a different add and the blonde housewife tuype in it looked familiar and (after looking p her name) I wondered "Was that Kimmy Robertson (Lucy from Twin Peaks, nerdy girl from Last American Virgin). Yes that would qualify as Cool news, what with Twin Peaks still being one of the top ten best shows ever on TV.Does anyone know (or know how to find out) if that was Kimmy Robertson in that current BK ad? Because if it is, she's held up pretty well for 56.By the way, to chime in on the discussion here, I'm 57 and Craig Ferguson has the only good Talk Show on late night TV. Or, well, all TV if you want to include OprahEllenView etc.
-
You'd rather have Amy "Endless Tittering At Own Jokes" Poehler than Jerry Seinfeld?!
Really? -
But you waste your time popping into random talkbacks to boast about his ratings, that makes you just as a big a tool, if not bigger.
-
I'm so psyched they finally made a digital short of it, it was one of the few songs that they didn't do as a previous DS before Lonely Island released the album. I've seriously watched it at least 6 times already since I DL'ed the episode. Amazing. "The music washed away all their hate/and society started advancing"
-
is second, Leno doesn't seem so bad anymore.
