AICN EXCLUSIVE: An exclusive mini-clip with Joseph Gordon-Levitt from the SXSW Premiere ELEKTRA LUXX!!!
Hey everyone. Capone in Austin, Texas, about to embark on an insane nine-day journey into film heaven at the SXSW Film Fetival. I'm seeing a metric shit-ton of movies, interviewing some great folks, and forcing wonderful food down my gullet. I've got a little teaser of a clip from the makers of ELEKTRA LUXX, writer-director Sebastian Gutierrez's sequel to WOMEN IN TROUBLE, a film that premiered at SXSW last year and was recently released on DVD. I highly recommend the very funny and touching WOMEN IN TROUBLE, and I'm desperate to see ELEKTRA LUXX, which plays here Sunday night at the Paramount and stars many of the actors (playing the same characters) in WOMEN IN TROUBLE, including Carla Gugino, Adrianne Palicki, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Marley Shelton, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is featured in this short but funny clip. If you stuck around during the credits of WOMEN IN TROUBLE, you may have spotted Joseph as this journalist character, but it's my understanding the role is much expended in ELEKTRA LUXX. Sounds a little too close to: "Faced with an unplanned pregnancy, an offbeat young woman makes an unusual decision regarding her unborn child." I wonder if this would have found funding had JUNO not been a hit, because I doubt it would have even been written otherwise.
