Gil Gerard and Erin Grey in an exclusive new BUCK ROGERS clip!!!
Hey folks, Harry here with a neat little treat. A while back I posted a teaser trailer for an upcoming BUCK ROGERS Web Series by James Cawley, who is famous for his STAR TREK: PHASE II web series. It got me excited and I suppose it must've gotten Cawley's attention, because no sooner did I get back from THE RUNAWAYS today to find an email from James asking if I'd like to debut this exclusive clip on AICN. The video may still be processing at YouTube, it should continually look better and better as the day goes, but what we have here is a clip showing a young Buck Rogers (BOBBY RICE), who is working on his parents (played by Gil Gerard and Erin Grey) to let him go to France to join the Air Corp during World War I.
I have to say, it warms my heart to see Gil and Erin together on screen - and I believe I'd tune in to watch her snap veggies all day, every day. What a lovely lady! Can't wait to see the more science fictiony aspects of this Web Series... but thanks to Mr Cawley for giving us a sneak peek at what he's up to!!!

supposed to be spaceships and shit?
-
How about that Roaman Polanski stuff eh?
so what did you do with the money? -
what?
-
Or what? You dropped the ball on that one.
-
hiya Buck...
-
How can you support
Polanski shame on you
what happened to you Harry and this site people are leaving in there droves:( -
...Erin Gray was once soooo hot. I do kind of wonder, no tv or anything back then, how a couple of bumpkins would know much about the start of wwI or could even conceive of airplanes with machine guns. Still, it was cool, though Buck looks like your typical kid off the CW.
-
...indeed. My wife and I just started re-watching the DVD set this past week. Kismet!
-
HOT HOT HOT . . .
-
Probably my tv first crush. Soon to be followed by Connie Seleca in "The Greatest American Hero."
-
This guy deserves one.Seriously! This fella(s) can easily run a TV show.
-
Seriously, more please!
-
How bumpkins would know? Well, I know nobody pays much attention to 'em nowadays, but way back then they had news sources called "newspapers" which continued both accurate and inaccurate accounting of events in far off places written by people called "reporters" and printed on something called "paper."Sarcasm aside, many think that newspapers were largely responsible for the US's Spanish-American War about fifteen years before WWI so, as to how bumpkins would know, there you go.
-
Ditto on both counts
-
...I find it amusing that so many people are outraged about Polanski. He basically served his time. People for years have murdered others and served 4 years. In the 70's, a first offense where the guy entered a guilty plea, I don't know, maybe he'd of done 6 months. But he did what 40 days, and they were going to do time served until the judge got mad about some stuf and reneged. So Polanski got scared and ran. It's not like he was OJ or Robert Blake. And the guy did pay with damage to his career and reputation. The thing is if he hadn't run, he probably would have wound up doing a couple of months and could've resumed his career. Maybe he would've done the rest of the Chinatown trilogy, so we all lost then. But you guys who start foaming at the mouth at Polanski's name, tell me, what do you do? Are you a rape counselor? Volunteer at a shelter for abused children? Doubt it. But really, if you feel so strongly about this, why don't you go do something, instead of griping about it on a movie site and looking like a fool?
-
At least, it sounded like a pun to me. Erin Grey is still a beauty.Unthink, unthink, unthink!
-
To eat all that ham.
-
Always loved her and I would get pissed when Ricky Schroeders gay ass would get in the way.
-
Polanski can rot, but it's not enough for you self-righteous fuckers to pollute EVERY Ghost Writer talkback with fire and brimstone, but it has to spill over now to EVERY TB IMAGINABLE? Shove your balls in a fucking combine.
-
Deserves to go to jail for whatever sentence the judge deems necessary. But first I need to see "The Ghost Writer." Polanski's a great filmmaker but that doesn't excuse either his crime or his flight. One wonders if the apologists (and, trust me, I love Polanski's films and just discussed this with the missus last night) would be quite so forgiving of any forty-four year old Joe Schmo who had sex with their thirteen year-old daughters or sisters and then fled before sentencing. Again, I love his movies but don't take the "bait" if you've got no time to wait.
-
...think I've heard of a newspaper, might've even read one before. And you're right, but my grandparents were farmers and their little country paper wasn't exactly the Washington Post. They were good people, smart people, but not the most informed. I just was making a point that a lot of these shows, when they are referring to a current event, seem to speak with a modern slant and with knowledge that people didn't commonly have. I will apologize for the word bumpkin, though. As I said, my grandparents were good people and farmers. That clip just kinda gave me that "bumpkin" vibe.
-
...my God - did they dig up Heath Ledger for this clip and slap "Jokerface" on him? It looks like animated Movieland Wax Museum figures.
-
I gotcha. Just having some fun there. My grandparents (and great-grandparents), too, were country bumpkins (farmers), but I do know that they stayed pretty informed with both newspapers and radios. No need to apologize for bumpkin. I proudly wear the label myself though I'm probably not fooling anybody in L.A. ;-)
-
you guys smell like ass
you two couldent care less
well i do and it seems
like Harry couldent care less as long as Polanski makes movies im a movie fan but im not gonna support someone like that as for fire and brimstone since when did you have to be religous to have morals
stupid idiots -
I used to subscribe, but, now, what's the point? Interwebs!
-
Wow, as they are getting older they sure look a lot alike.
Wow at 2:26 that was definitely the classic Gil Gerard/Buck Rogers smirk (I think perhaps Erin surprised him with that line) -
Give me a fucking break! What next, the amazing clip where he stands in the middle of a corn field watching the FOUR suns set? FAIL.
-
...I do agree with you about Polanski. I wish he had stayed and done his time back then, and the fool may just wind up doing more time than he would have in the first place. If it had been my daughter, it's hard to say. I'd like to think that I wouldn't have stopped until the guy was brought to justice. But I know the victim of the crime has already said that we should drop it and I believe her mother felt the same way(could be wrong about that). I don't know, I do know that after I saw that documentary on the case, I've been a little more sympathetic. Regardless, if he goes to jail, I'm not gonna be wringing my hands wailing about the travesty of justice. I'll feel for the guy, but he almost had this taken care of before, then backed out. Do want to see the Ghost Writer.
-
The problem with Phase 2 is that it SUCKED ASS. Why would I want to watch more?
Will this new show have massive starships skidding through space and doing "burnouts" and "barrel rolls" rendered with all the finesse of a commodore 64? -
roman polanksi has suffered enough. the girl has moved on, has forgiven polanksi and has a nice life now. it was the 70's. it was a beverly hills house party. her parents NEVER should have let her go. polanksi served 6 mos. in jail. the senetence was about to be served, but the judge was having too much fun with cameras in his face. not to mention his wife had recently been slaughtered by the manson family. he wasn't in a great frame of mind. i think it's time to move on. all the self-righteous pricks who bitch about polanksi need to stfu. how long ya gonna roast a man on the coals? has he been in trouble since? no.
-
...with a guy called Menstrual Bloodfart, kinda funny. For the record, just got back from the gym, so, yeah, I do kinda smell like ass. Anyway, I've already stated my opinion on Polanski, not gonna bother to repeat it. Just not sure why you're so full of hate for harry, but I won't bother defending him. I'm sure his life is going along just fine and quite doubt that a bubblehead like you is really gonna ruin his day.
-
God DAMN it, give it a rest. Or at least confine it to the "Ghost Writer" TB's. Fuck. And honestly, at this point, what else is there to say about it? It's been hashed out ad nauseam on this site for the past couple of weeks now.
-
and she is definitely hotter than any of the so-called Cougars I see annointed as hot Cougars. In the clip, she is made to look like a woman who works on a farm with her family.
-
this looks like crap, Buck. this looks as bad as that Sci-Fi Channel Flash Gordon series.
-
We need a new Buck Rogers on Sci Fi..and not from the douche bags who redid Flash Gordon. Either that or a live action movie. God Erin Gray was smoking hot!
-
Back on topic --- I thought it was cool seeing Gil and Erin together again. Especially as Buck's parents. Just a few nights ago I started watching their old series again on Netflix. Shit, did I love that thing as a kid. I had the starfighter toy, but weirdly I never had any of the actual action figures. I think I ended up putting Star Wars figures in it. Anyway, yeah, Erin was probably my first TV crush. Although my little pre-pubescent brain was already torn between Col. Deering and Princess Ardala. I wasn't yet sexually creative enough at that age to consider a three-way.

I was expecting to hear BIGGY-BIGGY-BIGGY...let him serve, Buck.
by professor_monster
And Grey is still hot in my book. There's an episode of Silver Spoons that took place on the beach - Erin Grey loses something in the sand and in bikini, she droppes on all fours and started to sift, spinning around in every direction, including her butt right to the screen.
I had to tarnish my silver spoon thank to that episode -
At least Wilma and Buck got together in another universe. Why the Erin Grey love some are asking? Because put simply, Erin Grey in her prime was and still is one of the hottest women that ever graced this Earth. End of discussion.
-
Thanks for making me laugh.
I take it djdeathstar got banned because I have no idea what anyone is talking about. -

From 1979 to 1987. After the divorce, he started hitting the Häagen Dazs. Then he ballooned up to 350 pounds.
-
This clip, despite having some good actors, was pretty amature. Bad sound, static cinematography etc, etc. This guy's heart is in the right place, but man... he needs to go back to film school.

It is definitely very star wars. Can't believe Aunt Beru is holding him back, too.
-
The quality of this clip is certainly a step above the Star Trek: Phase II stuff.
Do we know if the fx are going to be an update from the old tv show, or if they're going with new designs that are more "steampunky"? -
That was great. And very very good to see Gil and Erin together again. They still got it! And its very cool to see them getting on board a web episode thing. For two seasoned actors to jump on board is definitely cool on their part. Erin certainly was hot, and one of my first tv crushes back in the day. She's still looks pretty good, they obviously have her made up for the part, but I've seen some other shots of her and she's lovely. And I love seeing the famous Gil smirk. This guys has had health issues and weigh problems over the years and fought it back as much as he could. Anyway, AWESOME CLIP, MORE PLEASE!
-
Nice clip.
-
A clip from a show in the early 90s. It is AWESOME.
-
The kid's dialogue was a bit stilted but that'll get better. Big thumbs up from me with this, looks like the start of something great, and you can count me, enthusiastically, in.
-
Gil and Erin haven't lost it as actors.
-
I love that line--as if she is trying to console a disappointed ten year old. "Don't worry, honey, there will be other trips to the lake." One can only hope. BTW, I agree with all the Erin Gray reminiscing. She was the real reason I watched the show back in the 70s.
-
I'm not getting it. It looks like some Lifetime movie-of-the-week bullshit.
-
The acting in that scene was laughably bad. I wanted to see the video for pure nostalgia, but wow was that acting wooden.
-
Yeah technically its a bit ropey and the script is wanting but i liked seeing those buck and wilma together again and I think Erin Gray is still pretty.

Wow!
First of all, thanks for posting this little clip of the new "Buck Rogers"...it looks somewhat promising, knowing that the series producer is going to keep it "old school"
If the acting in this clip is in any way a precursor to what the series is going to be like? All I can say is..Hey SyFy programming Retards! Are you paying attention?!? You jackassess!!
It WAS most definitely a treat to see Gil Gerard and Erin Grey together again, playing key roles as opposed to a misused and totally bad cameo appearence that a lot of re-boot series/movies tend to do when it comes to giving the old nod/wink to the old series which the new one or movie is re-doing (Hell, I am not afraid to admit by saying..I actually saw the "Buck Rogers In the 25th Century" Movie when it came out in the theaters back in..what? 1978/79 I think? I was just a kid and I was so excited to see it brought to TV...only to be severely disappointed at what NBC did to it...although nowadays, I kinda dig the really cheesy over the top space-70ies/80-ies theme of the old series! Ha ha!!).
My only question is...if this is going to be a "Web Series"? Will it be a pay site or free for fans to enjoy? -
Folks get old, they change. Deal with it, young ones. Was such fun to see the "old" Buck and Wilma as parents of a new larval hero!
-
A few years back I was overjoyed to see two of my childhood heroes...Erin Grey and Gil Gerrard, at ComicCon. I rushed up to them and said "Hi" and asked if I could have an autograph. I was saddened to hear they were charging $10 for each of their autographs. I said 'no thanks' and started walking away. Mr. Gerard yelled after me 'Well how much is it worth to you?'...to which I replied 'nothing...now'...true story. Most disappointing meeting of an idol in my entire lifetime.
-
And not own up to your mistakes. Why am I surprised? You haven't shown any real integrity as of late. Why did I think you'd apologize for spoilers in your Alice review, or in the least be a sneak and throw up a Spoiler Box ? I've lost all my respect for you Harry. 14 years of it- Gone.
-
That man almost singlehandedly induced puberty in a young gruntybear. What? You thought everyone was looking at Erin? As if.
-
a pretty decent copyright infringement suit on his hands. Dear God...it was almost verbatim.
-
to take a sip of blue milk...sorry...sepia colored milk.
-
Sounds like a relative bargain to me, considering some of the outrageous amounts most past-their-prime celebrities were (and still are) demanding at conventions such as Comic-Con. You should have crowbarred your wallet open, let the moths out and ponied up. You probably would have gotten a pic with them for that 10 bucks, as well. They aren't there exclusively to serve as empty recepticles for us to pour our nostalgiac nonsense into for 5 minutes apiece. Of course, by not forking over the money, you probably reduced the chance of Gil supersizing his Double Quarter Ponder meal at Mickey D's that night.
-
The music was too sappy and the scene was a bit longer than needed but really good. Nicely done.
-
once again, within the first paragraph of harry's alice review he gives away the whole ending.. thanks again harry!
-
Yeah, I thought it was a bit "But its a whole 'nother year!" scene, but so what? The acting was fine, not hammy or wooden as some nasty posters have said. Good to see someone, if only a web-based creator, is giving props to Gil and Erin in his reboot. I'd watch this over that awful Flash Gordon remake thing.
-
oh and yes, Erin Gray was and still is a smokin' hot fox! altho now she's more of a GILF.here's an old shot of her from Sports Illustrated:http://tinyurl.com/ykqmy3k
-
http://tinyurl.com/ykqmy3k

Not awesome, but not horrible. I look forward to checking this out although I'm not sure going with the goofy retro designed ships is the best idea. For the record I'm a fan of Cawley. Phase II is lots of fun. That one with Sulu in particular was amazing.
-
The acting in this piece is miles ahead of what Gerard and Grey did in the show. A lot of that is probably the material they had to work with... or maybe they're just getting better with age. I met Erin back in the day -- she was making a promotional appearance at Bloomingdale's in NY -- and she was as nice as she is beautiful.
-
No spoiler alerts, No Cop Out review, backs a convicted child molester, I can't wait to see what comes next!
-
...to Erin Gray. C'mon. For old time's sake.
-
...read the article before watching the video. I was figuring the boy was the son of Buck and Wilma Rogers and that this took place decades after the series in a retired setting away from technology. I then half expected them to open the door to prairie fields and a ship fly by overhead. At any rate, great to see Gil Gerard and Erin Gray again. This left me wanting to see more.
-
Nothing is sadder than watching professional actors struggle with lame dialogue & direction in internet fan films. But yes, Gray and Gerard CAN act. Just please get them back on TV and away from James Cawley...
-
Such a sweetheart. My childhood crush on her was entirely justified. She let me take a photo with her, which I proceeded to show everyone I know. All of my male friends who are roughly my age were extremely jealous... even the gay guys!
I look forward to seeing her again at WonderCon next month. And I'll be bringing my camera again, I tell you what. -
Seriously, I loved that... top idea, cos WWI was the height of dogfighting... Someone needs to make this a series now...
and for the record... Erin Grey is still a Milf...or Gilf... either way... it's WILMA!! -
It's just a divers watch
-
... Until we see *YOUR* S.A.G. cards.
...Those that cannot do, will criticize. -
Maybe they don't want the treadmill any more and see the value of a true fan bringing back something theyinvested their lives in?
Hollywood generally fucks up remakes... fans, if they have talent rarely make a bad show...just would have been better with budget etc.. -
This is a Fully Lisenced and sanctioned production from the Dille Family Trust
-
Trust and sanctioned not withstanding.Caveat: That doesn't make it bad, just really fan-y. I kind of like that it feels almost like a stage play.
-
Pretty good scene except for the wooden direction. Maybe it's because (I suspect) Gil and Erin were not there on the set together. There wasn't a single shot with all three of them in it together. In fact, until 3/4 of the way through it, I suspected NONE of the actors were there on set at the same time.
-
Never mind - just spoke with someone involved and he says they were indeed on the set together. Didn't anyone think to get a wide shot for coverage?
-
Wow this guy moves the camera less than Kevin Smith...
-
The new web series seems pretty cool as well. I'm surprised no one has made a modern bigscreen version of Buck Rogers yet. Then again, perhaps Hollywood realizes that no special effects could ever top Erin Gray in spandex.
-
I'm disappointed to hear about the charging for autographs. I saw her at Comic-Con, but didn't ask. This is the best acting job I've ever seen Erin or Gil do, but the young dude needs a little work.
-
Man, how much Elmer's Glue did I jettison due to her back in the day.
-
seriously that just ruined one of my top 10 stroke fantasies. fuck. gil gerard looking pretty good, though. excuse me while i boot up chatroulette.
-
Hope the whole series is this good and we won't have to wait 4 years to see it.
-
My pre-teen eyes had a heart attack every week she was on tv back in the day. Smokin' hot.
-
This clip made me smile, despite the awful cheesiness of the old BR series. Would love to see Gil make a comeback. :)
-
That was great. I can't wait to see it happen. This reminded me of that episode of Buck Rodgers where Gil Gerard and Buster Crab shared screen time. This is simply cool. BTW - there should be more stuff with Erin Gray these day.
-
I love em. Let me watch the scene and get the drama from the actors and dialogue. Don't force feed drama and action with a moving camera. I would have liked some more wide shots though.
-
Absolutely loved this. Yeah, the dialogue was a little on the melodramatic side, but the Buck Rogers strip wasn't exactly known for having a subtle, multilayered subtext...it's a good fit.
Kudos to Gerard and Grey for being good sports. -
*budda budda budda*
"get the message?" -
If by "term" you mean living free in Europe and making millions from movies?...Yeah that's just punishment for a pedophile rapist. Not.
-
the sight of Gil Gerard actually acting - although the parents are a bit Smallville and the father is a bit unrealistically wise on world events considering 21st Century Americans understand fuck all of the wiorld around them.
-
Sorry Buck, they may be only French but that still makes little sense.
-
you know that the little robot had the hots for erin
-
huh?
-
That scene should only have maybe 30 seconds. Only a fanboy director would've indulged himself so.
-
How can anyone see a celebrity at a convention these days and NOT know they are charging for their autograph? Conventions have become a good source of income for celebrities whose careers aren't what they used to be.
-
repaired cleft palate?
-
ANd she is a fucking bitch. SHe nagged all day when nobody was buying her autographs and then would snicker about the fanboys when they left her table. SHe bitched at me because my set up was too close to her. I told her to fuck herself. Truly a bitch who shouldnt do cons.
-
ten bucks seems very reasonable. Do you think people owe you free autographs for the rest of their lives for something they stopped getting paid for 30 years ago? the cons dont pay them enough for that, it's how the system works, deal with it our keep out. they only get a stipend to be there. and @mojoman69, don't particularly believe your story, don't care anyhow. People i know who have met her at cons have nothing but nice things to say about her, how gracious she was, etc., etc. and from watching the shows she's been in, i know she's not THAT good an actress, so i'm inclined to believe them rather than you. but whatever, you may have hit her on a bad day. life happens. not everyone is cheery every day of their lives. as for this clip, too long (needs to be trimmed in about half) but solid. look forward to seeing more. and really, you nimrods, do you think Lucas INVENTED the farmboy who wants to see the world? every thing in Star wars was stolen from something else.... er, i mean, an homage...
-
... when Buck Rogers was aired. Man, she was gorgeaus, gorgeaus, gorgeaus!

Finally, a Cawley production with people that can ACT!
by the_maltese_vulcan
Great to see Erin and Gil together showing the chops they never had a chance to use on the old series.
-
Indeed. Though i always though that at least Erin actually made an effort. ell, at least in the first searies, when Wilma could kick ass, instead of being the damsel in distress of the second series.

"Mickey Rourke has had his share of women, but who knew he had 14 of them in one night.
"Forget Ashley Cole, his behaviour has nothing on a film star," he told British TV host Lizzie Cundy, according to UK's Sun. "WAGs [wives and girlfriends of soccer stars] get an easy time - they should try living with Hollywood hellraisers."
Ashley Cole is a UK soccer star at the center of several sex scandals including a gay orgy.
"I once spent a weekend in the UK and had 14 women in one night," Rourke said.
No word on how long ago the alleged sex marathon took place, but Rourke, 57, says it was before he met his current girlfriend, Anastassija Makarenko, 24. He has been married twice.
The Sun also reports that Rourke solicited Abi Titmuss and Thandie Newton, who is married, at last year's Baftas." -

She would've been rich by now.

I don't think she'll turn you down. The economy ain't what it used to be.
-
Otherwise it's pretty cool.
-
I don't.
-
agreed. Cawley should stick to Elvis impersonations
-
It felt very stiff and amatuerish, as Cawley productions generally do. When they go in for a close-up of Erin snapping the peas it's so bizarre it plays like farce. The dialogue is also fairly weak. Just compare this scene to the almost identical ones in Star Wars and Starship Troopers. Those flow so much better. That being said, I'm still looking forward to the first full episode of this.
-
...unless you have a screen actors guild card. so basically about every critic who ever existed should have their reviews negated. So I guess that means you have to have a directors card to criticize the directing, belong to the producers guild to criticize a movie, hell, I guess if you buy a car and you're not an assembly line worker or a mechanic, you can't bitch about it when it breaks down. Silly.
-
Seriously.
-
I mean come on, Roddenberry was probably rolling in his grave at that one...Trek has never been known for it's "make out scenes" gay or straight.
-
Pamela Hensley who played Princess Ardala was a hottie as well.Gil Gerard was a lucky man being once married to Connie Sellecca.
-
whether you believe me or not doesnt matter. I was there. I have put on cons and attended lots of them. I know a bitch when I meet one. Other asshole celebs at cons have been June Lockhart, Lou Ferrigno, Mark Goddard, and Robert Vaughn who was a total dick at CHiller a few years ago.
-
And the veggie snapping chops too.
-
Must I remind you people that he got a 14 year old girl drunk, gave her a quaalude and then fucked her in the ass?! Listen, I've seen some hot jailbait and maybe had a fantasy or 2, but I've never acted on an urge because I've got a moral imperative. It's just plain wrong to exploit anyone, let alone an underage girl.
Oh Yeah, EG was some piece of tail back in the day, same with Gil's wife CS and all the others mentioned. -
You can tell just by looking at his face that hes kept the weight off.IDK if anyone recalls what he was looking like pre surgery, but he had gotten so fat you couldn't even tell it was him anymore. So , Way to go Gil! ;)
-
than in the entire series of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
kudos to whoever's behind it. Well done. Please don't wreck it by bringing back Tweaky. -
Good to see her acting again.

Wow by far the weakest Polanski argument to date on this site, and that's saying ALOT!!! You made not one avid point. What you did do is justify criminal behavior in the 70's (I think. your point was a little confusing) Than you suggest people can't feel outrage towards criminal behavior unless we council victims of such crimes. Out of curiosity are you 10? Just trying to determine the mind behind the statement. Polanski committed a crime and should pay for it. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. Everyone wants to complicate it.
-
"Valid" not "Avid" edit button please.

Bidi Bidi Bidi!
-
That's not meant as a dig either, it really looks like it's something now. He still has to work on that audio, it wasn't very good, we shouldn't be hearing feet clomping on floors over dialogue, especially when it's covering up these 2 talents. Erin Grey's eyes are even more expressive than I remembered. And Gil Gerard seems to be coming into his own as an older actor. I'm a little impressed. None of that means there's Buck Rogers hiding behind that clip though, we'll just have to wait and see, but cool on getting these 2 to be in it.
-
I call shenanigans.
-
Thanks for posting the clip--great to see Gil and Erin again--thought it was a great beginning. As far as the comments go--there are just some people who live to hate--get a life will you?--or do a web show yourself if you can do any better. As for me, I like my sci-fi, and this Buck Rogers looks like its worth watching.
-
http://tinyurl.com/yctlkx2I wonder : Where does the 'geek' community stand in this ?
-
Two writing issues. First off, the American Expeditionary Force didn't exist until America entered World War I, therefore there's no way the father could have fought in it.
Secondly, there's no way Ma would have taught her son poker, let alone a poker face.
As to a talkbacker's comments about newspapers, most of the local newspapers at that time were filled with wire service stories taken from the big city papers. There would have been something in there about the war almost every day, even before we entered it. -
this is pretty terrible. there's no defending it. i'm sorry. hokey and boring.
-
...I don't have a strong arguement about Polanski because I feel someone who has done what he has done does deserve punishment. But it's argueable whether he already got that punishment. And I don't feel I was justifying criminal behavior in the 70's(don't get where you see that), I don't even say give the guy a break because of the Manson murders. But I am getting tired of all this hate for the guy as if you were personally involved. Feel like he got off and don't want to watch his movie, fine. But why this gets brought up on a fuckin Buck Rogers web show is beyond me. Like I said, he may get some more punishment out of this, and either way it doesn't effect me. But it has nothing to do with my enjoyment of his films, and absolutely nothing to do with Buck Rogers(at least I don't think it does).

The McDouble tastes shittier for having less cheese because it doesn't cover up the bitter, disgusting "meat" they use as well. McDonalds has the worst-tasting beef in the business, whatever they do to it is vile and putrid. Burger King sometimes brines their meat too much, but at least their double cheeseburger is delicious.Roman Polanski raped a girl, the end. The statute in CA says he gets 1 year in county lockup or at least 2 years in state prison. That's even if she was a willing participant, which she wasn't. So that goes on top of the minimum 3 years in state he'd get for regular rape. Did he serve that? No. Then there's the fact that he fled prosecution, to which he has still not yet been brought to justice. That is patently unacceptable. He broke another major law by fleeing under bail, and until he stands in court for that, he deserves no leniency whatsoever.

The Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese is where it's at.

Not kidding.
It tastes exactly like it looks when you turn it sideways.
Kathy Bates' fat, juicy cunt.
Delicious. -
How do you think Polanski got the punishment he deserves?
-
its off da hook yo
-
That morons on here think it is acceptable to rape a child and not get punished for it.
Fuck anyone on here who says we should forgive him. Fuck being a pussy like that.
If it was up to me, he would get some good, old-fashioned gang rape in the prison shower. -
Seriously... looked like he explaining why he was wearing his Mom's dresses. Just because it's set around 1914, doesn't mean it has to look like it was FILMED in 1914. Make Buck look like a young man, not a drag queen.
-
The wierd thing about this Polanski thing is how hung on the notion that he must be punished. The legal system isn't supposed to be about punishment. Are people angry that he gets away with something that they wish they could get away with? Its pretty clear that he felt some remorse and isn't going to be doing it again. The need to 'punish' is just wierd and a little bit psychotic.
-
Rumor or truth? Weird either way.

But have seen photos on the old newsgroups purporting to be Erin. These being childhood photos the best you can say is that there is a bit of facial similarity.

BIDI BIDI BIDI

Who knew? Poor guy was stuck in that dopey disco/jiggle-era TV version of Buck and never got another shot a the big time. Based on that web clip he should have had a decent career.
-
but the kid has a creepy joker mouth, and is a wooden actor.

manlier son. And this was way before Depression-era malnutrition...
-
is wooden .. I agree with Ding on that one. Gil is gil, dialogue is a bit whatever but .. sure .. the professor had better be back

This is a much debated topic among fans of many different entertainment genres.
There are good points to be made on both sides of the argument.
I'll just clarify that I do not support a fan relationship model where a fan (who has already 'paid' to enter into a fan relationship by paying money and/or paying attention to the performance by spending time observing it) should have to pay for what amounts to a slight gesture of the hand by the actor who has received payment for their work. Positive fan support should create a market whereby they can secure additional acting jobs.
Again, I understand there are good points to be made on the other side of the argument, but I choose to keep what I believe to be a positive attitude when it comes to fandom. -
how does cawley keep getting these stars from the original series to appear in his show.
when i first saw this page and before i watched the vid i thought maybe it was going to be a sequel type series with the original buck and wilma having got together and had a kid.
i liked phase 2, can't wait to see how this turns out. -
You say "disco/jiggle era" like it was a bad thing. I guess you had to be there.
-
Nice to see Gil and Erin again. I used to ahve wank fantasies over erin when i was a kid..shame she now looks like my mum ! They should have made a web series where Buck and Wilma had a nice place in the country where twiki was their servant..kind of the waltons in the future..nice !

...are rarely this smart, this good, in use of the old gen actors. You saw it a little in Donner's Superman and also Singer's with Noel Neil and Jack Larson, though.

...was a lust bunny for me. When I told her that at a con about a decade back, she said, "not anymore?" pouting. Then she smiled that smile and gave me a big ol' hug. She's not that much older then me, less than a decade.

Given the way stars always get together while shooting things or have temporary affairs and move on... I mean, come on, it's time honored Hollywood tradition... could you imagine being Gerard and one day catching Grey when she just needed some, so you went to a trailer, locked yourselves in, and DID get to play with her or unzip her Col. Deering suit a bit and actually got to fuck her in those hot 70s spadex outfits?Oh, don't look at me that way. You know you did. And right now you're thinking "Shit! Why couldn't I have been working on the BUCK ROGERS set that day!"
-
I think it is psychotic to think that it is ok to just forget about child rape since the rapists feels a little bad about it and won't do it again. Regardless of your opinion of punishment, he is a fugitive from justice that never served time for what he did.
-
That was painful to watch.
-
It was not that bad! At least it was earnest.
-
That's why Dad was part of the Allied Expeditionary Force. I swear, it's like you people never even watched the first action scene from Michael Bay's _Pearl Harbor_... {g}
-
Either way I was pasted to the couch.
-
If only we had seen Col. Deering making sweet, sweet love to Daisy Duke. With Wonder Woman watching on.

for hawkman?

In response to OpticNerve, who started the whole "charging for a
by bigfanboy
You saw them at Comic-Con in San Diego, ran up to them, asked for an autograph, and were pissed to find out they were charging? So you just expect them to go to Comic-Con in San Diego on their own dime (because they do go on their own dime, the show provides nothing), in some cases pay for their table space (which at San Diego is NOT cheap), pay for their own hotel (hotels in San Diego run about $300 a night), and spend all day every day sitting there meeting fans and signing autographs - and you don't think they should get ANYTHING in return? You make it out like they're awful people for charging for autographs, but it's probably costing them thousands of dollars just to be there. Try reversing the roles for a minute. Would you (in their position) just give away autographs all day and ask for nothing in return? And before you try to make the argument that they're already rich, most of them are NOT rich. Most of them rarely act anymore, and are living modest, meager lives. Those conventions are an opportunity for them to make a little money, and meet their fans at the same time. For you to insinuate there's something wrong with that... well, that's just silly. And if you think $10 is too much, you have yet to be truly shocked by autograph prices. There are some celebs out there who attend shows that charge anywhere between $30 all the way to $100 for an autograph. Usually $20 is pretty standard, which makes me wonder how long ago you were quoted $10.
-
Very cool casting and that they agreed to play the parts.
Fine piece of acting too...
