Live in Chicago? Wanna see an early screening of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE? Capone has the details!!!

Published at:  Feb 23, 2010 11:17:11 PM CST

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here, with a wet and wild screening for those of you in the Chicago area.

I've been talking to some of the folks down in snowy (HA!) Austin to get their official and unofficial reactions to the test screening that happened down there recently of the new comedy HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, and the reaction was so positive that I kicked and screamed until the good folks at MGM agreed to let me do one here in Chicago. After all, the film features a couple of the city's favorite sons--John Cusack and Craig Robinson, as well as Clark Duke, Rob Corddry, Crispin Glover, Lizzy Caplan (hubba), and Chevy Chase. The film is directed by Steve Pink, who also helmed ACCEPTED and was part of the creative team that gave us GROSSE POINTE BLANK and HIGH FIDELITY. I don't think I need to tell you what the film is about since the title pretty much takes care of that for us. Oh, and this screening is taking almost a full month before it opens on March 26.

We've got the entire theater, and I need to fill it fast. The exclusive AICN screening of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE is on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 7:30pm at a theater in downtown Chicago (the exact location will only be given to contest winners).

Here's how to secure a pass good for you and one guest: Send me an email at therealcapone@aintitcoolmail.com with the subject line "SPLISH SPLASH!!!" In the body of the email, I need your Name, whether or not you're bringing a Guest (guests' names are not required), and the answer to the following question (read carefully): "Where and when would you travel to in a Hot Tub Time Machine to find the best party?" Keep your responses BRIEF--limit your answers to 75 words or less (no matter how tempted you are to go over the limit). Winners will receive an email from me before the weekend.

Although this is an exclusive AICN event, it will be slightly overbooked to make sure we have a full house. And for God's sakes, if there's even the slightest chance you'll have to back out of attending if you do win, don't enter. You'd be amazed how many last-minute emergencies (or other lame excuses) crop up in the 12 hours before every screening. If you have a job that might make you late or unable to attend, or an ill/pregnant relative, or a temperamental significant other, or a scratchy throat, do not enter.

Good luck, everyone! Hope to see you there.

...saw Cop Out the other day. Good flick. The Clash of the Titans trailer was on it. Is that on the net yet? Just remember a giant scorpion, shiny Liam looking like Jeebus, and a cracka ass Kraken that makes the Pirates of the Caribbean version look like clown shoes.
