Come join THE CRAZIES here in Austin At The Alamo South this Thursday with Breck Eisner!

This week, we'll be welcoming Director Breck Eisner to the Alamo Drafthouse South for a special AICN / FANTASTIC FEST screening of his remake of George Romero's often overlooked film, THE CRAZIES.
I don't know about you, but I really am fond of Romero's original. It was a terrifying concept. The film still works, is still scary and freaky. Breck's remake is exceptionally well done. First off, the film is beautifully shot. There's a sequence with a character strapped to a table that really really is one helluva scary, yet beautiful scene. The atmosphere is fantastic. You'll see. In addition, Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell do a great job, in particular Timothy Olyphant continues to be impressive on camera. Still waiting for the film that launches him as a STAR.

I'll be filling this screening with the craziest folks that didn't just crash into a building locally in their tax-evasion plane! But as crazy as you maybe - at least follow instructions.
The film is set for this Thursday, February 25th at the Alamo South.

Don't ever remake Martin. That is possibly Romero's best movie, but I wouldn't be surprised if the suits plundered every old vampire movie they could find in the wake of the Twilight boom.
Leave Knightriders alone too, while you're at it! -
even if the movie is bad, he makes it the best it can be. Olyphant is GOLD!

He just happens to have a knack for picking good roles. He only appeared half-decent in Deadwood because every single other person in that series was such a huge character.
