FAST FIVE!!

We've been hearing for a while now that Universal was looking for another installment of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS franchise - now that's on the way to happening. Aiming for a 2011 release, Justin Lin (TOKYO DRIFT and FAST & FURIOUS) will direct FAST FIVE (a working title, or a real title?) from a screenplay by DRIFT/F&F writer Chris Morgan. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will return.

The story finds protags Dom (Diesel) and Brian (Walker) as fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen.

...says THIS write-up in Variety. Through his Facebook page, Vin recently indicated that the script for this project was actually designed to spread over two films (details HERE). The nature of the above announcement suggests the current deal is for one film instead of two - so it's unclear whether they're simply making single movie, or if they'll be generating one oversized product that'll be cut into two parts. Probably, and presumably, this'll be just one movie. I'm down for this - but...where's more Riddick?
