Listen up, screwheads! Bruce Campbell has a message for ya'!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. While doing my own spy business in NoLa (just took a rather frightening trip down Bourbon St, actually... The tip top of the creepy was a homeless dude showing off his Quato-like stomach tumor) I received this communinque from Mr. Bruce Campbell regarding his 2010 plans. This is the first time he's broken his cover and he did it for you, the fans, so I hope you appreciate the danger he's put himself in! Here's the man himself:
Hello everyone. Bruce Campbell here. This urgent message is short, because my keystrokes are monitored and I fear for my life. My partner at Dark Horse comics, Mike Richardson (normally a very rational and talented man), threatened to have his foot soldiers "crush my spleen" if I did what I am about to do. But the fans deserve to know, so with great trepidation I officially announce Bruce Vs. Frankenstein, the sequel to My Name is Bruce. Principal photography begins this fall in Oregon. I'd like to live long enough to see the cameras roll, so please, for the love of God, do not tell anyone - I can't risk this announcement getting back to Mike! Thank you.
There you have it. I know I'd love to see Bruce step back into the Blue Suede Shoes and kick some vampire ass in Bubba Nosferatu, but I guess anything Bruce does is good news, yeah? -Quint Follow Me On Twitter

Bruce, time to pull a JCVD

    by We_like_it_VERY_MUCH

and make a film that people wouldn't expect. Because honestly, "My Name Is Bruce" was a let down. I say that as someone who has read "If Chins Could Kill" twice and knows you're brilliant when you want to be. Making a sequel is catering to the likes of your fans that are basically "Juggalos... and you don't want that, Bruce.
Make Evil Dead 4 your big farewell to the B horror business and then get Sam to help you get a real good role and start the next phase of your career.
Stallone is planning an Expendables 2, right?

My Name is Bruce was awful

    by frankenstone

"My Name is Bruce" is the only Bruce Campbell movie/appearance that I have ever truly hated. Bruce Campbell is my favorite actor of all time and he improves every movie or TV show he appears in but "My Name is Bruce" was a mean-spirited kick in the groin to the entire human race, a disgusting piece of cinema that should be destroyed for the sake of history and future generations to come. Making a sequel to this abomination is a criminal act. Please dear god no. I love you Bruce, you are my favorite actor, I love you even more than I love Shatner, but when the lynch mobs come for you I will not stand in their way if you continue forth and make this film.

    Another Evil Dead

    by BendersShinyAss

Why doesn't Raimi just set up a team, have a year of meetings and nut out a whole new Evil dead film. it doesnt have to be big, it doesnt have to be epic. shoot it old 16mm and somewhere quiet where the dead can surround and close in. It doent even have to be a direct sequel.... per say... just a whole new film with Ash fighting the Evil dead. don't try too hard, but for God sake, there was going to be another 2 spidermans after the 'made up as we go along' 3rd film... surely there's another evil dead film in these guys!!?

Bubba Ho-Tep on the other hand I watch often.

The Bubba sequel seemed such a no brainer. A fantastic idea for a franchise, We should already be up to a 3rd and it should be Bubba Frankenstein instead of this.

I mean you had a loyal fan base, and Paul Giamaitti was all about this movie too. Me thinks there are some egos afoot, and unfortunately it smells to be Bruce's.

    Yes, do Evil Dead 4!

    by Fa_Tass_DinoMolester

Which should be called either "Evil Dead IV: The Deader The Better", or alternatively, "Evil Dead IV: Deader Than Ever", and be about:
The film begins with a recap of the end of “Army of Darkness”. Ash flies forward through time, but is greatly aged in the process. He returns to work at S-Mart, along with his fellow employees, Regina and Stinny, along with their lisping, irritating manager, Mr. S, and their customers Hubert, Gil and Lucy. However, Ash’s failure to recite the incantation at the end of the last film has lead to the Evil Dead invading the S-Mart. Mr. S is turned into an Ape-like Deadite, “S-Ape,” while most of the customers are turned as well. Ash, Regina, and Stinny fight their way out into the modern world of La Bunka, California, followed by the Deadites, who continue to take more humans as their hosts. Some of the Deadites include Grandpa Neeper and his young son, Baby Neeper, decked out with baseball bat and multicolored propeller cap, and the Fireman, who breathes flame, drives a fire truck and shoots Ash with yellow and green muck out of his hose, and creates legions of undead Cops by incinerating them. They also encounter Deadite Birds which bombard them with acid poopoo. Ash and friends seek out the hack Magician The Amazing Rando, who can return to the Evil Dead to their rest. They end up in Rando’s Magical Palace, full of mirrors and magic tricks. Ash is attacked by an animated Red-and-Gold Suits-of-Armor and Egyptian Statues, the former of which demolish his shotgun as he hangs over a pit of spikes. Rando tries to close the doors on the Dead, but is instead possessed and becomes King Deadite, who wants to destroy Ash for his meddling, and squirts green goop on Ash out of his nipples. At the end, Ash vanquishes the Evil Dead, but finds himself living in an alternative dimension where the Evil Dead have taken over almost everyone, leading to part 5,
which should be called either "Evil Dead Hate the Living" or, alternatively, "Evil Dead V: Realm of the Dead". There, I did your job for you Raimi, now go make the damn movie!!! And PS, bring back Ted as Henrietta! I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOOOUUUULLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was I could follow that with "awful good I tell ya", but I can't. And that's about the level of humor the movie was aiming for. I loved the parody of the cheap-o SciFi flick, and instead of the fantasy "Three Amigos" route this took, I think BC could make a hilarious parody/expose of Hollywood filmmaking. Between him and the Raimis, I'm sure they're are stories to tell.

    Evil Dead IV

    by HiDef

Well now that Raimi is off Spidey and there seems to be a gap until he starts on Warcraft, now would seem to be the perfect time to bash out a new Evil Dead movie... but after the fanboys left him high and dry and didn't support Drag Me to Hell, why would he bother? Drag Me to Hell was a total blast and a pleasure to watch at the flicks but audiences stayed away in droves. Would the same happen with a new Evil Dead film? I know I'd be front and center on opening day but what about the rest? Maybe he learnt his lesson. If so, that would be a sad day for us fans, but who could blame him?

    I liked JCVD better.

JCVD was a better movie about an actor playing himself.

    He's an awful actor

Never understood the fanboy boners for this guy.

I prefer the ending where he oversleeps and takes 7 drops instead of 6. He wakes up to a city in ruins, oversleeping by a century. Hell, you can have Ash in a Terminator Salvation type deal.

And yet he was perfect in the Evil Dead series.
