"Space: 1999" to be revived '''

Glen here...

I'm getting very sketchy reports that some sort of trailer has been shot in the hopes of resurrecting the mid-70's Gerry Anderson series Space:1999.

Allegedly (please note this disclaimer), said trailer has already been screened at one science fiction convention, and will be shown elsewhere in the near future.

I have heard nothing concrete about this trailer, but as I understand it, the trailer is something of a promotional piece / teaser along the lines of Richard Hatch's much heralded, self-financed trailer for Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming. The Space: 1999 trailer is (allegedly) constructed as a message home to Earth - sent from the survivors of MoonBase Alpha. Said trailer allegedly concludes with an Alphan telling the folks back home that the Alphans are still alive, and saying to those they left behind: "Remember us..."

If anyone has any information about this trailer...or the legitimacy of these reports...please let me know ASAP.

More to come as more comes in...

If anyone out there has a copy of Mr. Anderson's The Day After Tomorrow, PLEASE note the P.O. Box address below. I'd really, really be interested in seeing the show again (I remember "the lightship Alteries" (sp?), and I remember that its design was more-or-less cannibalized from the Meta probe seen in the opening episode of Space: 1999. I also seem to remember the crew of said ship gets flushed down a Black Hole, or something to that effect?)

I've been searching for the title for years - to no avail. Any help would be profoundly appreciated....
