* “CSI Miami” hit its best score in 11 weeks. With "House" and ABC’s biggest primetime soaps in repeats or MIA last week, "Miami" emerged as the week’s top drama.

* With "House" a repeat, "Lie To Me" hit its lowest score ever.

* On Monday, Dec. 7, “American Idol” vet Carrie Underwood’s Christmas special brought Fox a 2.3 in 18-49. The following Monday, fellow “Idol” vet Jennifer Hudson only scored a 1.2.

* NBC’s “The Sing Off” improved on scores for previous timeslot holders “Heroes” and “Trauma” and looks like it helped elevate “Leno” to its best Monday score in nine weeks. “Leno” has done best when following another reality show, “The Biggest Loser.”

“Chuck” and “Heroes” retake the “Sing Off” timeslot in January, then “Parenthood” replaces “Heroes” on Monday nights in post-Olympics March.

...with TNA moving into the picture and a possible new Monday Night Wars taking off, it may very well spark a creative fire underneath the ass of the WWE again. Also, it was hinted last night Bret Hart may return to host Raw soon, which will be a pretty big draw.

    TNA Wrestling

    by wrath4771

Now that Hogan has bought into TNA, I'll be very interested to see what happens with that company. He wasn't the best wrestler in the world, but he knows how to sell and tell a story. Either TNA will take off or it will be a glorious crash. Either way, I'm in. I'd also be very surprised if Bret Hart hosted a RAW, but if he did - I'm so there.

    Two and a Half Men....

    by flandersbum

Yeah, there's not one really likable character on the show. Charles Sheen is a moron, both on screen and in real life. Duckie comes across a little better, but still an unlikable loser. Painfully unfunny to watch and predictable 'follow-the-numbers' types of stories. Kinda like the awful 'Frasier' show from a few years back...stories were telegraphed so far in advance you knew exactly what would happen 5 minutes into the episode.

isn't terrible. I do not watch it and it's certainly not as good as BBT, which I do watch, but I watched a number of episodes over the first few years and it was often entertaining. It's mediocre, but not awful.

    by mickguinness

I was concerned when I didn't see Casey in promos and whatnot, but Josh Schwartz (exec prod/creator) gave the following quote to The Ausiello Files: [Because of budget cuts,] "we might have certain episodes where Chuck's mission is such that we don't get the opportunity to go to the Buy More as much," [reveals exec producer Josh Schwartz]. [...] "Chuck, Sarah, and Casey are in all episodes."

I only watch because it's something to do before BBT. It's ok but the loser brother is too pathetic and he let's Sheen beat on him way too much. Isn't he a chiropractor? Shouldn't he be able to find a place on his own after all these years.

    by the mcpoyle clan

I don't rate the sexual tension component that highly. I think it's more like a comedic Burn Notice for geeks--watching vicariously as the dorky protagonist engages in cool spy stuff, gets that-close to the hot chick, with a cult-favorite character actor sidekick along for the ride, interlaced with lots of geek references. It's not high concept TV, but it works because it's fun and the casts have charisma and chemistry.

If he starts getting all semi-bad ass or faux badass, it becomes a cliche. If he's still the reluctant hero even with the ability to beat the crap out of everyone in the room,it makes it funnier.

The reason they won't go to the Buy More as much is not because of the location costs (as someone said, it is a set anyway). It is the cost for paying cast members and extras. When they are at the Buy More there is always a ton of extras and 4-6 castmembers to pay.
Morgan and Chuck are going to be roommates. So that will reduce the need to go to the Buy More to get peripherial cast members on the show without paying a ton of extras or the entire cast of the Buy More when they aren't needed.

    by rob0729

Far, far from my favorite show. It is getting worse and worse year after year, but that is the trend for most sitcoms when characters increasily become chariactures of themselves and the jokes become low hanging fruit jokes. It is mildly amusing at times and there is nothing else worth watching at 9 PM on Mondays.

    by darth_nader

The cost is not for the stage, it's there whether it is used or not, it's probably because you needs to pay 6-7 regulars to 'staff' it. The interesting part is that I thought they made some money back on the product placement throughout Buy More. There's always brand name stuff sitting in the background. Here's hoping Sarah goes back to working someplace that requires skirts. Or maybe spandex. >:)

    1/4 Monday night war

    by bigdogg

rumor is that January 4th is the night that Bret Hart will be hosting Raw and he actually signed a short term deal from then until early April (Wrestlemania). WWE needs to do something big since that's the night TNA goes live opposite them with the debut of Hulk Hogan. Also, that same night Cena won't be at Raw (thank god) since he's doing the coin flip at a bowl game (I think it's the Fiesta Bowl)

    by linguo_is_dead

Fraid not. TNA doesn't have the money that WCW had, and bringing in he 56-yr old Hulk Hogan isn't exactly where the audience is anymore. If TNA signed Stone COld or the Rock yeah...but look at their "stars": HH, Sting, Foley, Nash...it's like 1999 all over again. The kids are into the new stars...WWE won't even ackowledge their company. Hogan's a joke anyways...he'll be their "champion" a week after his "debut"...he only brings death and destruction (luckily, at the rate wrestlers are going...he'll be dead in a year or two)

"Raj's inability to speak got old last series"

    by big jim

I agree. It started as a cute character quirk but I think the writers' soon found it difficult to write for a character who can't speak out loud whenever Penny or any other woman is in the room. They quickly decided he could talk if he were drunk, but could the character be drunk all the time? Not that I'm looking for impeccable logic in a sitcom, but I'd find it more realistic if he wasn't always whispering to his friends when Penny is around. Obviously he can talk in front on women, as long as they can't hear him. Perhaps they can loosen the restrictions and have him talk in front of her, just not directly to her.

of letting success go to their heads. Not the actors/writers, but the networks. Too often, network execs haven't a fucking clue why a show like that succeeds, but they are certain they can make it *better*. If one famous guest star was funny/popular, then why not seven of them? Etc.
