Greystoke butchers the hookerbot, downloads a crappy hack of ZoeyAI into a legion of Cylon drones. No emo kids. Lot's of boom, boom- bang, bang. Still room for ethos, even some emo, as Zachy is responsible for Zoey's "birth" and "re-death" and "corruption". Yawn. Screw it. Bad shit is inpiring even worse shit. ;-P

I rented the DVD pilot for Caprica and boy oh boy did it suck. It would probably be an interesting show without the BSG connection, but forcing this story into that universe further screws up the continuity of BSG and makes the show's Cylon's even worse than they turned out to be in the finale. Moore needs to find a new project.

The tribe that went to Earth created the final 5. The final 5 somehow ended up on Kobol and then in the 12 colonies. Greystone's cyclons started the war,experimented on humans to create hybrids (why?) the final 5 (who have no connection to Greystones cylons) somehow convinced Greystone's cylon's to stop the war (if they are not the same then why didn't Greystone's cylons say fuck you and blow them away) if they created the other 7 cylons. And then the other 7 cylons said fuck it, destroy humanity. Do I have that right?

I wish they were telling the story of Kobol. OLD Cylons versus humans versus the Lords of Kobol who were the basis for the Colonial god myths? That would have fucking rocked.

What were you guys expecting? I consider it a basically seperate SciFi show with a couple of teaser commonalities. What I don't like is that Moore is stepping on his whole "this has happened before and will happen again" mythos. <BR><BR> And putting Zoe in a militray robot body was pretty stupid. Why didn't he first try it out on, you know, a computer test bed or something? That was a pretty lame stretch, <BR><BR> A couple of other nitpicks... grieving mmust be highly acceleerated in the future ( erm... past ) , and the guy didn't make a backup copy of his daughter's avatar? He specifically states he can capture the whole thing in a few terabytes. Having his only copy get "lost" really didn't seem to tear him up all that much. <BR><BR> Also, are we to think that the cylon that did the military test is the same one as zoe, or was that a different unit?

It's good, not great, but good. A little confusing, especially the first 20 minute or so, but once you get into it, its pretty interesting stuff. Its nowhere near Battlestar, and they know that, its clear, but it doesn't make it a bad show overall. It made me long for a Viper battle, that's for sure. Seeing a 10-ish year old William Adama was very cool, but I don't think they wrote him very well. That kid didn't act like the Adama I know, but he has a long way to go, so whatever. I'll watch more, but its certainly not television gold.

Good question about the military test. I was never really sure but I think they're different. Though it would be creepier if they were the same! I really liked the pilot but I HATE the way SyFy is selling this.

So sure, dress it up as a "gift to fans." Seems like this operation is getting a bit desperate. <br> <br> Also, when is this ever going to come out as a series? Has it even been picked up? I'm not sure whether it's better to wait until the taste of the BSG finale wears off, or whether they need to get through the window of memory before it closes.
