Does anyone else find it a little creepy that the main character is trying to bed a teenager? Just me then?...okay.

I still say it';s the best network comedy to hit the airwaves in the last 5 years.I understand NBC has picked it up for a second season, i just hope they keep it on thursdays, The current thursday night lineup is one of the best in years (even better if they gave us a real show after 30 rock instead of the "jay leno colgate comedy hour", but from 8 to 10 it's TV show heaven.I do find it kind of strange that all the x-mas episodes are airing tonight, why not closer to x-mas (next thursday would have been a better time)Sucks that we have to wait till next decade to see any more new episodes, yep JKan 1st 2010 is going to be the start of a great decade, one that will see the world end in 2012

    by lprothro

I didn't see the first episode. I started late in the game after a friend with a similar sense of humor recommended that I start watching. Thanks for clearing that up man--makes Joel's character seem a lot less---slimy.

I Think He Means Annie (Alison Brie)

    by crow3711

Who, along with Troy, is fresh from high school and most likely 18 or 19. They've comfortably and quietly ignored this fact, I think, because in reality, its a show, it doesnt matter, he can bang whoever they want him to. If you were talking about Brita, then yea, they explained she dropped out of high school and is well into her twenties trying to get her life back together. Annie, on the other hand, the one who is actually insanely hot, is younger...yes. But it doesn't bother me. At all.

Then it's the penultimate year. We don't want that, just accept that it's the final year.

Brita's not a teenager, she's in her mid-twenties. The other one, goody goody, she's the 18 year old virgin, and Jeff's not trying to lay her.

    by cromulent

Maybe NBC should just do sitcoms every day of the week, because with ER gone, everything else they have is basically junk. But, I do enjoy these four shows.

Me Too, Only Night I Watch NBC

    by crow3711

8-10 on Thursday is the only time all year round NBC is worth watching these days. I was highly impressed with Kings, but they abandoned it before it ever aired its first episode, idiots that they are. Make GOOD shows, and they will become popular. NBC must be full of morons, except for these four shows. It's astonishing really. I wonder if Comcast will makes things better or worse in terms of programming.

COMMUNITY is morphing into the new Scrubs for me: it has that witty, laugh-out-loud genius comedy that made Scrubs awesome (and yes, I am one of the few who still thinks Scrubs is funny, even with the new season).

Jett, I'm with you on this Community.

    by worldofwarcraft

It's well put together, and acted. Though I think part of the appeal is the fact that I spent some time at community college, and thoough a ridiculous place it was also a darker setting than the way it's handled on the show. Part of the feeling that pervades a community college campus is desperation, serious and scary. I've always thought it was a place ripe with stories worth hearing and telling. I know you've spoken about your writing talents in the past, and though Ive no credits to my name, I do have experience in this setting that has value. Interested in any kind of collaboration? If not, would it be out of line to ask for some advices? Thanks, either way, Jett.

Why does Tina Fey refuse to be attractive?

    by behemoth

I mean, she could be quite hot. I've seen her looking quite hot, years ago. And yet, she demands to look as unappealing as possible on these shows. That hairstyle? OMFG, horrendous.
And what's the deal with the doody fascination with this one? SOmeone should make it their thesis project to determine exactly how often Fey writes a joke on her show concerning her own bowel movements or gastric emissions. I'd say it's about every other show. It's become revolting.
After all, we all know that hot chicks do not fart or defecate, ever. Hence, Fey has become a hideous harpie man-beast by her own hand.
As to Parks, was I the only one sporting totem when Amy Poehler pulled down her pants and showed Mo Collins her ass tonight? I thought not. Sodomites.

    by annoyyou

Community is the best show, period, of the 2009-2010 season. Everyone goes on and on about Modern Family, but really, the only funny characters on it are the gay couple. Community is far superior, and most of this is due to ALL the supporting cast being uniformly excellent (can't say that about Parks and Recreation or even the Office).

    by lprothro

Pretty funny idea, although I'd still say this is one of the weaker episodes. Oh, and I know quite a few Jehovah's Witnesses, they got everything right except the drinking thing. They don't have any prohibition on alcohol, but they were dead on about the blood transfusions.

When Kevin sat on Michael's lap, I lost it. Too funny. That and trying to get Ryan to sit on his lap as well. And Community is the best new comedy of the season. Very smart.

    The Office

    by joed

First half...not so good. Second half was pretty great. Very happy with this episode. Mildly heartwarming, with some sharp humor thrown in there. And the end with Andy was pretty great. David Wallace must have felt like a jerk while everyone was cheering that they had their jobs, and he was on the other line having just gotten fired. But new management should be an interesting angle to take. Predictions? They will not like Michael Scott, and Holly will eventually be transferred back to Scranton.
