Your First Look At The Indie Sci-Fi Comedy DRONES, With Angela Bettis And Lots Of BUFFY And FREAKS AND GEEKS Vets!!

Published at: Dec. 9, 2009, 11:54 a.m. CST by hercules

I am – Hercules!! Once upon a time on “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” evil robot-builder Warren (Adam Busch) shot hot lesbian Wicca Tara (Amber Benson) in the heart. Now Benson and Busch have co-directed the sci-fi comedy “Drones,” which arrives next month. Its cast is supercool, including the great Angela Bettis (“May”), “Freaks and Geeks” vets Dave “Gruber” Allen and Samm Levine (“Inglourious Basterds”), Jonathan Woodward (Holden from “Conversations With Dead People” and Knox from “Angel”), James Urbaniak (Rusty on “The Venture Bros.” and Dwight’s pal Rolf on “The Office”), Tangi Miller (“Felicity”) and Paul F. Tomkins (“Mr. Show,” “The Sarah Silverman Program”). Here’s the trailer – for the moment an AICN exclusive!

    by brattyben

Lame. And what makes this sci-fi? Maybe the fact that the douchebag office worker actually hooked up with the hot female bitch? Double lame.

    I want to laugh, but...

    by Drath

I'm missing the jokes, so much I feel like I'm watching a Dane Cook stand up act. They're saying stuff, and it's not connecting with any meaning. I work in an office, but maybe I'm not sophisticated enough? Or I'm too much of a drone myself to recognize my life in parody? Or maybe this trailer wasn't edited very well? I hope success for those involved though, they all have my good will.

I see neither. Least entertaining trailer I have seen in a long time.
