Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago.
I told you I'd be hounding you guys with all sorts of teasers and clips for the upcoming splendor that is UP IN THE AIR, which our own Copernicus declared "the film to beat for Best Picture this year." I happen to concur.
Today, I've got clip given exclusively to AICN that features the film's star, George Clooney, and the always-excellent Jason Bateman, who plays Clooney's boss, who is announcing his intention to saddle the solitude-oriented Clooney with a temporary partner. Enjoy!

saw a preview in atlanta last week. This film is really really good. Definitely Reitman's best movie.

GunterMonkey I know lockes bit, it just so happens that this time he is right. Jason Bateman hasn't done shit for a minute now (is that slang more current?)and THAT CLIP SUCKED. Why bother putting that up? JB: "How do you take your coffee?" GC: "Cream no sugar." Aint it cool?

So I'm just messin' with you guys (that's a 90s phrase too, I think, haha)...I also think juansanchez's statement is true...I want to laugh at Bateman, I want to believe 'Arrested' wasn't the only thing he can do, but he just isn't giving us more. And yes, McReady, that clip sucked...why did they post that shit? oh well.

He needs zany characters to play off of him, like in AD. As for his "hits", he was in Juno, Hancock, and Extract. No blockbusters, but Justine gotta eat. Her brother's acting dust.

The common ground feels so good under foot. I didn't see Extract but I also never heard much acclaim for Bateman. I think he is capable of doing something good but it just hasn't happened yet.
