Learn Which Former Cast Member Turns Up Toward The End Of 24’s Eighth Season!!
I am – Hercules!!
Former president Charles Logan, last seen being rushed to the hospital following his stabbing by former first lady Martha Logan, is coming back in “24’s” upcoming eighth season.
From Michael Ausiello’s Entertainment Weekly exclusive:
Logan will resurface towards the end of Day 8 when Cherry Jones’ President Taylor reluctantly enlists her disgraced predecessor to assist with an escalating diplomatic crisis.
Though Logan didn't appear last season, he was the cause of Soul-Patch Tony Almeida's season-seven rampage of vengeance.
We first met Logan at the end of season four, when he was a hand-wringing vice president seeking the counsel of former president David Palmer. Logan later helped engineer Palmer's assassination, as well as the murder of Almeida's wife, former CTU agent Michelle Dessler.
The first four hours of Jack Bauer's eighth day of real-time adventure air Jan. 17 and 18 on Fox.

Yeah bitches

Logan was one of those villians you love to watch. He's a big part of what made season 5 great. I'm glad he'll be back. Hopefully they don't waste him this time like they did in season 6.
-
Any show that lets Rush Limbaugh strut around behind the scenes can't be any good.
-
Do we know? I haven't been keeping track.
-
isn't he on his deathbed? what else can they do with this show? I liked how we had some Tony intensive episodes last season. It would have made a whole lot more sense to make this more of an ensemble cast years ago so it didn't seem so absurd for one man to fight every terrorist/conspiracy/bio-weapon threat. "He's the only man for the job." God help this country when Jack is gone.
-
what is she donating? bone marrow? hopefully her hospital gown blows open. plus she will probably be under sedation so she won't "act" all that much.
-
All hail Logan, however! Herc, seriously, can we source our "24" news from anyone other than that shitbag Ausiello?
-
Cant. Fucking. Wait.
-
"YOU'LL EVENTUALLY TALK!!!"<br><br> "TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO KNOW!!!" <br><br> *Jack calms down* <br><br> "You leave me no choice." <br><br> *speaks into walkie talkie* <br><br> "Send her in." <br><br> *soft pitter patter of footsteps approaches* <br><br> "WHAT IS THIS???" <br><br> "MINCED!??" <br><br> "YOU FEED ME MINCED???"
-
i stopped watching halfway through the ridiculous season 6
-
As far as I can remember.
-
Betcha.
-
and ruin the internet. no more AICN.
-
Spoiler!
-
Hasn't there been two other presidents between Logan and Taylor? Why the fuck would she need Logan?
-
Wise, Not Haysbert, and Boothe.
-
After the hands-down-worst 6th season, my only hopes/expectations for S7 were "please don't suck and/or get the series cancelled." S7 was a decent somewhat redemption of S6, so I'm hoping S8 can restore 24 back to the glory days of Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 5.
-
Really looking forward to seeing this character return, it just goes to show that unless you see the person actually buried in 24, then they are not dead. <P> This gives me hope for Nina Myers, and Chistopher Henderson, the latter could definetly still be alive, and please find a way, to bring Nina back!
-
this is supposedly the last season so hopefully they will pull out all the stops. the first tv promo looks promising
-
wtf? They made a completely predictable mess of bringing Tony back from the dead, now you want them to do it with two people that Jack intentionally (and repeatedly) shot to kill, meaning the resulting excuses for resurrection would be 100 times shittier. Logan was never supposed to be dead, sure he went out with it as a possibility, but the producers have always been honest and said the door was left open.
-
Each season is essentially a retelling of the season before. This show needs to go away.
-
Or at least nearly done writing the scripts for Season 8? The more episodes they film before January the better..........just in case there is another Hollywood strike and we have to go without 24 for another entire year........well......as long as they are GOOD scripts, lol.
-
I call bullshit on this. Charles Logan was a plot device in Season 4, and the integral part of Season 5. Bringing him back serves no purpose.<P>If the writers want to go down Nostalgia Lane:<P>1)Bring back Mandy.<P>Have her kill Jack in the final episode, albeit in a hard-fought battle. She's the only logical choice.<P>It both brings closure and stings like a bitch, as Jack cut her loose at the end of Season 4 via the Presidential Pardon.<P>"24" has intermittently dominated TV as one of the best dramatic series over the past decade. Send it out on a high note.
-
Are we gonna get a repeat of her sweet-sweets?
-
As a fan of 24 from the beginning, I don't get the nostalgia over Logan. He was excruciating to watch that season, as was his wife.
-
What? 24 seasons?
-
But I'll keep watching, because when it does finally end, i want to have seen all of Jack Bauers days. I hope this is better than last season.
-
1 and 2 = 5 stars<p> 3 = 4.5 stars<p> 4 = 4 stars (I'm being lenient as the first 2 episodes of season 4 were my first exposure to 24) 5 = 4 stars<p> 6 = 2 stars (terrible season, first 4 episodes and a few at the back end were the only good eps. Easily forgettable season). 7 = 4 stars (maybe even 4.5, had the best villains of any season IMO, especially John Voight's scene chewing badguy and Tony Todd).<p> Hope season 8 is awesome, bring on the Jack Bauer Power Hour for 2010!
-
How many years between this season and the last. There are usually a couple.
-
on 24. I've watched it from the very beginning. I got through most of last season and still have the last 8 or so episodes on my DVR, but can't seem to bring myself to watch them. It just really seems that the same thing happens every episode. Jack yells, tortures someone, yells a little more at the President, who begrudgingly lets him do things his way (this time, and you'd better be right), Jack gets info, new cliffhanger. Again, been a fan since the beginning, and if this is the last season I'll watch just to complete the story, but without major changes (not the same thing happening in different locations), I don't know how much longer I can hang.
-
My favourite villain, hands down.
-
<br><br>I loved this show for four seasons, until I realized how monotonous and repetitive it was. But for Starbuck? I'll give it one more shot.<br><br>
-
Yes, Katee Sackoff will be an exciting addition to the cast. One can only hope Rack and Frack will catfight over Jack?
-
One week from the 'gamechanging' episode nrn spoke of; still think the Triple H of that show will be put over Matt, permanently. I think Grunberg's leaving; his normally active Twitter account has been flatline more than a Rush Limbaugh brain wave of late.

IS IT GEORGE W. BUSH?!? ANN COULTER?!?! ALAN DERSHOWITZ?!?!?
by Margot Tenenbaum
WHAT A TWIST! I love 24, though. It's right up there with Stargate SG-1, NCIS and the Jay Leno Show for me. WOOOOOOO JACK BAUER TORTURING CATS AT THE COMMAND OF WILLIAM KRISTOL.
-
I'm not being sarcastic when I say that calling Sackhoff "Frak Bauer" before the whow even comes back is pure genius. I like this internet doohickey.
-
just like ginrich and cheney did to clinton administration.
-
It's a shame the creators are content playing it safe season after season taking the same, tired soap opera approach. I'm not saying all soaps are bad. They have their place. But it's not like they've been doing a good job coming up with the weekly twists and it's sad to see a character with so much potential put into such a cheap, gimmick driven show. Sort of like putting Michael Jordan in his prime on a 2nd rate college basketball team... that's just not where you want to see such a big talent play out his career.<BR><BR> It would've been nice if they had the balls to challenge themsleves and take Bauer in a completely new direction with a worthy, fitting story. Instead of futzing around plugging in poorly written characters from the past into the same old formula, there're so many better, respectable choices they could be making...
-
at CTU? Bring him back as the old cranky undercover agent, "Back in Nam we used to ..." Bauer rolls eyes.
-
If i remember correctly, while we clearly see Jack shoot Nina, we only see him Shoot Henderson from a distance, at night on top of a submarine. So he could easily still be alive, Jack did promise to let him go.
-
Somebody had to.
-
He doesn't mind a lick of being the 'underdog' at 10PM: http://tinyurl.com/yhdbkw6 among other inanities.

Can I get a (VERY) condensed synopsis of the last 2 seasons?
by ShiftyEyedDog2
I stopped watching a couple seasons back because it was just rehashing itself over and over, but im going to give this season a shot. I need to know what I missed that might be relevant to this upcoming season.
-
I've got to be honest I thought she was fucking awful. She looked like she was smiling in every scene, even ones where thousands of people had died.<br><br> Hopefully Logan can find a way to cause total meltdown again.
-
every other twist with 24 has been a spectacular letdown.
-
Henderson gets the shit shot out of him as much as Nina, just from a few metres farther away. I might be wrong but I think we also see him getting zipped up in a bodybag shortly after.
-
Did last nights episode remind anyone of the Halloween Simpsons episode with the deranged feral Bart living in the attic?
-
Can't wait to see who he screws over this time!!! Seriously! I've been an avid 24 fan since Day 1! There are so many more great under developed characters they could revisit. Mandy! We need closure on her character and who she really is! Who the fuck was Nina working for back in Season 1?? What the fuck happened to Max and Trepkos from Season 2 and what was their goal?? ( Yeah I know Max was in the game, but he got crap treatment in that)Is Wayne Palmer dead or alive? He was only PRESIDENT and BROTHER to one of the greatest characters of all time. But, no!! The writers bring back Logan. Unbelievable.
-
Jack shot her at point blank range in the middle of nowhere. If she comes back she's some sort of mutant. I already had a difficult time swallowing Tony returning from the dead.
-
I've always enjoyed this show even though they've had some bumps in the road along the way.
-
Maybe you're right, but in all fairness, we saw Tony in a body too.
-
I think I'm starting to get burned out by 24, which hasn't presented an original scenario in years. I think it's time to pull the plug.
-
This is true. I guess if they really wanted there's pretty much nobody they couldn't resurrect in the show. I just always respected the fact that, as extreme as 24 could go sometimes, they always kept dead people dead. It was like an unmarked line they wouldn't cross that kept it from becoming ridiculous in a non-awesome kind of way. If Nina or Henderson had simply escaped instead of dying, I'd have no problem with them being brought back, they were probably my favourite villains overall. But Jack killing them both were two very powerful "FUCK YES" moments in the show's history (especially Nina, since I think most of us probably weren't expecting Jack to finally just say fuck it and blow her away) and to have either of them return now would negate that.
-
I've been waiting for a resolution to that since 2003. Tie them into Logan, Mandy, and Alan Wilson. That shitty video game doesn't count. The beginning of Season 3 sucked because (while it was pretty good), I was convinced they were saving Max to come back later in the season and it never happened.
-
Season Six - All that's relevant is Jack was tortured in China then came back. Everything else is completely ignored. Season Seven - Jack and Kim reunited; Kim has a baby named Teri. Jack has a new red-headed love interest/badass FBI Agent named Renee Walker. Tony is pissed over the government's role in killing Michelle and was willing to sacrifice innocent lives in order to find "the man behind Logan", a guy named Alan Wilson, who lead the entire Palmer assassination conspiracy. Tony was arrested before being able to kill Wilson. No evidence was on Wilson. Last we saw him, Renee began to illegally torture him.
-
Michelle was "carrying Tony's son" when she was killed, fueling Tony's anger and a parallel to Jack's own dead child from Season One.

I distinctly remember them saying he died from that stabbing????
by Linguo_IS_Dead
WTF?
-
Carlos Bernard is way awesome, and I've love to see him, but I have no idea how they'd plausibly work him in. Even on 24. Seeing Nina Meyers randomly pop up in S3 was a bit of a stretch for them.
-
Don't think so...
-
Jack vs. Bionic Nina! Can she be reprogrammed for love? The talkbacks would be entertaining.
-
So close to exacting his revenge and all he could do was writhe on the ground.
-
Jack on the run, bad President, some plot to blow something up, someone from Jack's past returns, Jack nearly dies.
-
Teri was pregnant in Season One. It was a plot point.
-
Jack fighting a zombie outbreak started by terrorist = final blaze of glory for the show. Naked zombie Nina Meyers, zombie naked Mandy, naked stripper zombie Kim Bauer, naked zombie Michelle Dessler, naked zombie Mexican love interest from when Jack was undercover and addicted to drugs from season 3, naked Freckles Bauer to cameo.
-
You're thinking of Lost.
