(----) (3.8) (3.3) (3.1) (3.5) Hell’s Kitchen

Figures in grey represent repeats.

* Despite following Tuesday’s highest-rated show and competing against a repeat of CBS’ “Good Wife,” “Leno” again matched its Tuesday low in 18-49. In terms of total viewers, “Leno” (6.056 million) lagged both “Forgotten” (8.258 million) and the “Wife” repeat (9.338 million).

* Fox’s original “90210” and “Melrose Place” were notorious for weak repeat performance, and the CW’s highly serialized sequels seem to have the same problem.

    Interesting trivia there.

    by iamnicksaicnsn

Not that I watch the shows now, or before. 90210 is only cool because Michael's in it. And you're only cool if you know who Michael is.

Also kinda interesting basketball doesn't do that well

    by iamnicksaicnsn

maybe because it's cable? Maybe because there are so many games per year?

God, Tuesday's just a vacuum of interesting TV

    by iamnicksaicnsn

I don't watch SOA, so I'm not judging that. But otherwise, nothing really interesting.

Jay Leno's a vacuum of funny.

    by iamnicksaicnsn

Even his funnier guests barely register as funny on his show.

    by iamnicksaicnsn

But I enjoy these ratings stories. Could I go elsewhere? I guess. Why bother? There's no "tvratingsmojo" No real "center." As far as I know.

I hope SNL never tries 4 eps in a row again.

    by iamnicksaicnsn

I definitely feel it's getting more funny as we get farther from the Fey years, but the last episode was just ridiculous.

There was a classic ep of TNG on tonight

    by iamnicksaicnsn

Can't remember what station it's played on here, but it's sick, they show very few commercials and the show even ends a couple minutes before the hour.

I hated the NCIS:LA billboards. LL's head and O'Donnell holding a gun does not a compelling ad make.

than any low-rating but actually decent genre show. I wonder why that is?

He is indeed a "vacuum of funny"

    by lprothro

When he was on the tonight show even when a guest would come in and be genuinely funny, Leno would interject with his sophomoric "humor" and ruin everything. Although I'm noticing even Conan isn't very funny on the tonight show either; despite being consistently hilarious at 12:30am. Perhaps there's something about the primetime timeslot that homogenizes and neuters comedic talent(??)

Yep. Somebody is sucking the funny out of Conan

    by daggor

Conan's Late Night was funny most of the time - a lot of mean/absurd comedy. Now Conan does cute little stunts and unfunny split-screen bits instead of the classic celebrity photos "interviews" with Robert Smigel providing the voices.

The Biggest Loser - the best drama on tv

    by magic rat

seriously, anyone who was ever a fat kid or struggled to lose weight at some point in their life will be bawling their eyes out over the next few shows. The last show had me tearing up.

Too Many Fat Fucks In America

    by crow3711

Probably why the Biggest Loser is so popular. Makes them feel better to know they are bigger lard asses than them out there. We should give them all a 2 year warning, and if they aren't at least losing weight after two years, they become happy meals for starving Africans. Solve population and hunger problems.

Why does Tuesday have nothing on, but

    by rob0729

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday have hours with four strong shows going up against each other. If Fox was smart, they would move Fringe back to Tuesdays. NBC should move SVU to Tuesdays. Both were strong ratings getters last year that are getting creamed in very competitive time slots this year.

  • Because Jay is a unfunny asshole who has his writers steal bits from other TV shows & Howard. NBC, don't wait until the end of the season to drop Jay, drop him now, buy some bad reality TV & game shows to fill in the holes and move your primetime dramas back to their 10pm slots. I know you're afraid that another network (FOX or ABC) will grab him after you embarass him. But don't worry, they wouldn't do it for at least a year. And kicking him off the air now labels him as "radioactive - do not touch". Maybe not Chevy Chase Chernobyl levels, but bad enough that no major network would hire him until Fall 2010.
NBC you are not even slowly killing your network anymore, you have killed it. The cast of ER would have pronounced the network DOA. Time to cut the damaged organs out and save the patient. In professional sports we'd call it a rebuilding season. You remember sports don't you NBC? Sports is more than just simply having the crappy Olympics and Notre Dame college football games on TV. Time to get started.

Who was actually watching a repeat of CW's Melrose Place?

    by tall_boy66

That's less than half of a brand new Dollhouse episode, and we know that NOBODY watches Dollhouse so whoever was in the mindset to watch a Melrose Place repeat of an episode they already saw, that's really messed up.

    Die Leno, DIE!

    by zodnotgod

Thank Kirk Leno is failing! I never thought it would happen, but it seems his hacky, toothless comedy isn't better than an episode of NCIS.
