Hey folks, Harry here with a treat for a Halloween trick that Joe Dante and Roger Corman are pulling with NetFlix called SPLATTER! It even features the most awesome of all Coreys, Corey Feldman. Well, Joe dropped me an IM last night asking if I'd like to host the only advance clip from SPLATTER that will have a gruesome murder? Um, duh! OF COURSE I WOULD! The series begins to be released tomorrow HERE and will conclude by being available in its entirety on Netflix enabled TVs on November 13! So - wanna see Joe Dante and Roger Corman kill a fat man? He directs with more energy than anyone working today. Even Looney Toons: Back in Action, which was a dud, has enormous directorial spunk. But please, Joe, shoot on film. If the budget is too low, pass. I'd hire you in a second if I could. But your stuff just doesn't cut it on video.

Its like when I went to Fry's and they were playing transformers 1 on their hi def tv in bluray with that stupid go motion or whatever the fuck its called refresh rate that makes the movie look like its shot on video...and mad Transformers which looks like a 100 million plus movie on film look like a 1980's doctor who episode.

I mean I clicked on it not even thinking for a second will this be good or not. For some reason I just assumed it would be good. Then those awful electricity effects came on and just ouch... I love Joe Dante for Gremlins and other such goodness, but this is just some low budget waste of time judging from this clip. Tony Todd deserves better than this.

I can see that this is more along the lines of one of those youtube choose your own adventure videos. I suppose the quality is execusable somewhat in this case, but still "a gruesome death?" Hardly.

Sadly, it's wearing its low-budget toupee all too obviously. The awful lightning, the frame-dropping to speed up the moment when Tony Todd was thrown backward, and the close-up to conceal the low-quality F/X head all scream, "Corman" but not quality. Bummer.

Film makers should stay away from this cheap looking video...Stick to film for fuck sake, to many horror's are using digital video and it ruins the movie altogether... Please STOP..

avoid this. I also recently saw 5 minutes of Boondock Saints 2 and WOW. I liked the first but the second looks like TOTAL SHIT. Let me be clear. TOTAL SHIT. Just like this. Always nice to see eyes explode though.
