Bob Burns' Hollywood Halloween - Episode 4 is up! Alien! Creature! Romance! Horror! It has it all!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Episodes 1-4 of the fantastic Bob Burns' Hollywood Halloween documentary has been posted. Episode 4 focuses on two particularly great shows, including the Fox sponsored and assisted Alien show that starred none other than Chekov himself in the Dallas role! There's also a story of a particularly geek romance that developed that is as heartwarming as Bob's Halloween shows themselves.
Click here to visit the official website hosting the documentary... make sure to click the video tab to navigate the episodes!
The next one posts Wednesday with the entire documentary available for viewing on Halloween! Enjoy!

I was delighted to watch this this morning. It's the best episode yet! (And don't accuse me of pumping this one because of my screen name!) Man, the amount of work that went into the Horrors from Space was insane. And the fact that FOX gave them access to all the movie props was incredible. (I kind of wondered how Bob had amassed such a huge collection that he demonstrated on the Alien Quadrilogy DVD's) Great stuff! It'll be so depressing when it all ends with Wednesday's last vid.

Huh? HUH???

Not sure, but last week I had a problem with the ones dubbed "Cable" (even though I use cable, myself). Try the DSL stream (it's slightly smaller), which worked for me last week. Might just be a bad link on their site.

Is that a wig or a dye job? Either way it doesn't go with all his liver spots. This Bob Burns stuff has been great. I look forward to it every week.

and we don't even do halloween here.

I know he did one recently, but three or four Halloweens per ep won't get us to present day.

Love these videos, thanks for sharing.

I think it's the first video on the site that explains they stopped doing them after the Black Lagoon show in '82, but then came back and did The Thing (Arctic Terror) in, I think, 2002. These videos are great, I still remember reading that big feature Starlog did on Burn's shows and thinking how great it looked. Seeing video footage fo the shows is fantastic. Bob Burns seems like about as nice a guy as you could find. I know you can find cool Halloween Haunted Houses everywhere, but these shows were really one of a kind, and so are the people who did them.
