Mr. Beaks Has A Tony Jaa-Signed ONG BAK 2 Poster (And Other Goodies) To Give Away!
Beaks here...
The winner of the Tony Jaa-signed poster of ONG BAK 2 is Bobby Corbell. The winners of the DVDs are Sean Boulger, Erich Reich and Kevin Heitczman. Congrats!

Dig that poster? Want one for yourself? Want one signed by acclaimed ass-kicker Tony Jaa?
The good news is that I can make this happen. The rotten news is that I can only make this happen for one AICN reader. Fortunately, I've also got three ONG BAK/CHOCOLATE DVD two-packs, so there's a little more Jaa love to go around.
If you want in on this contest, please send an email with the subject header "Jaa Is Love" to aicncontests@gmail.com before Friday, October 23rd at 5 PM PDT. Please be sure to include your full mailing address. The winners names will be posted to this story no later than 5:30 PM on Friday - which, not so coincidentally, is the day ONG BAK 2 hits theaters, VOD, Amazon and XBOX Live. If you're not sure about ONG BAK 2, check out Harry's rave from this year's SXSW, and know that this movie will knock you around like a recalcitrant fancy lad.

and done.
-
my homoerotic love of Tony Jaa? Through a poster, of course!
-
fucking hilarious.secondly. i've always sorta hated jim cameron. but after that new yorker article i kinda like the old cornballi too would've fucked kathy bates.

The citizen critics were not, in large part, kind. Dances with Wolves in Space, they said. Smurf-porn. Pocahontas meets Halo. Some drew unflattering comparisons to Thundercats, and made reference to Jar Jar Binks, the most hated of all digital characters. (Notably, members of the print media, who got it so wrong on “Titanic,” mostly held their fire.) The message boards on Ain’t It Cool News, a fanboy site that started tracking “Avatar” a decade ago, logged bitter disappointment. The fans there had anticipated “eyeball rape.” One wrote, “My eyeballs were merely fondled without permission.”
-
Whats the deal? I saw Ong Bak 2 the beginning on an HD channel Wed night, I even have it on my DVR? Only watched it cause I saw it on AICN.
-
Shit, that's weird.
-
there is a part where Jim falls into an oxymoron:''“Too much is being said about the technology of this film. Quite frankly, I don’t give a rat’s ass how a film is made. It’s an emotional story. It’s a love story. ''
if thats the case mr Cameron, then why the fuck did u wait 13 years for the technology to evolve,in order to make your god damn movie?
but u know what the real truth? u acknowledge that the geekdom not only was not impressed by the visuals of your movie, but that it reacted in a very negative way,and now u try to bring in front the story of the movie, rather than its technology. how the mighty fall right? -
Are international readers allow to participate?
Thanks. -

I meant if international readers are allowed to participate :)
-
I reviewed it at my site - www.thefilmblogger.com.
Anyway, plugs aside, it was pretty crap. Not even that exciting on a pure action level. -
Ong Bak 2 aired last night on HDNET Movies...so those with that channel got to see the movie for free before it officially hits theatres in the USA...they probably will be repeating it so check your listings...I recorded it on my DVR and will watch it later...HDNET Movies will also be showing the US version of Red Cliff before it hits theatres...Red Cliff is on November 18th...good job HDNET!!
-
And a very revealing look into the filmmaking process of Jim Cameron. I had hoped AICN would have linked to it, but we're an informed bunch and folks are finding it on their own.
-
How much a month is it?
-
HDNET is part of an HD package with my cable company...it's not bundled separately...the channel shows some really good movies in crystal clear HD to boot...I watched Blade Runner: The Director's Cut for the first time on HDNET Movies a few weeks ago as well...good channel to have if your cable company has it available
-
Yeah I get the other two HD Net channels. The one that shows nature docs all the time and HD Net (it shows Smallville, Jag and Ultimate Trailer Show).
-
here's a link to the HDNET Movies website which shows some upcoming releases including Red Cliff and Ong Bak 2 http://www.hd.net/movies_sneakpreviews.html
-
it's weird that you have HDNET but not HDNET Movies...usually they are bundled together...you should call up your cable provider and ask them about it...maybe they have put HDNET Movies into a special movie tier that you have to pay extra for
-
I need to get the next package. I've got dish.
-
and Ong Bak 2 was awesome.
-
Dark, cream, then gray? Is that how some elephants/mastodons really have/had it? If so I never noticed.
-
I doubt i'll get it :*(
-
Or the good stuff, anyhow.
-
BEFORE THEY STOLE THE OTHER ONE!
just kidding, Tony Jaa is amazing, his movies can have the dumbest plots but still kick ass -
The Protector is wrongly named "Ong Bak 2" in the states. It's not the same movie.
Tom Yong Goong is the name of the one with the ass-kicking finale where the baby elephant gets thrown and Jaa fights with bones on his arms -
and don't forget crazy whip girl.
-
Thank you for that, i did not that. I bought The Protector year back (the one with the baby elephant at the end) and was crushed to find out it only had horrible English dub and no subtitles at all.
-
shit I want to know if some dude named gooch won gain!
