Nicholas Angel and Danny Butterman have a willy fight! Hot Fuzz slash fiction tweeted by Pegg, Frost and Wright! Call to arms!

Published at:  Oct 20, 2009 6:38:24 AM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. You might not get a HOT FUZZ sequel, but now thanks to advent of a device called Twitter you can get a peek at the creative minds behind the film (namely Masters Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg) as they delve into the horrific world of slash fiction.

Here's a taste...

@edgarwright “Danny gripped his extendable Asp. It could do some serious damage…in the right hands.”

@nickjfrost “That’s a lovely big truncheon.” said Danny. (sound of slide whistle.) the end.

@edgarwright “Danny and Angel grinned as they tackled the shoplifter. There was no reason to hold him down so long. Or was there..?”

@nickjfrost “he’s got a pipe of pringles down his track suit bottoms Sarge!” grinned Danny.”

@edgarwright “Danny wanted to tell Angel that from some angles he looked a bit like Paul Walker. He’d tell him one day… One day.”

Read the whole account at Edgar's site, including the perfect closer by Simon Pegg.

Now why, you may be asking yourself, would I share this silliness with you? Simple. I got a lot of entertainment out of this and I don't want to see it go away. With the insanely creative minds of the talkbackers knocking together I'm sure we can show Mr. Wright, Mr. Pegg and Mr. Frost what real homoerotic slash fiction is! (I'll be disappointed if the Andys don't make an appearance.) Let's call it Hot Fuzz II: Hotter and Fuzzier! Go!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

The last bit is hilarious. 'Have you seen 'The Notebook'?' Asked Angel.'Many times.' Danny said fondly. It's like a classy version of the 'You know how I know you're gay?' scene from 40 Year Old Virgin.

    by angusthecow

I dont know about the rest of u but last time i checked Hot Fuzz already played like slash fiction. It is a love story between two men... plus Pegg and his gang got this down perfectly...[see Spaced or Shaun of the dead] see is just them poking fun at what it already is.

The funniest part about that shit

    by feralangel

...was that slash was being parodied, but the slasher-loving readers who posted about it didn't even know they were being made fun of. The only thing funnier than a good joke is the person (aka "the butt" of which) who doesn't get it. Slashers in general remind me of that two-headed mask icon used in the theater: funny and tragic. But better they work their catharsis out in fiction, I guess, than in real life...

Your typical TB'er is much more twisted, funny, and professional.I've always said the people here..and on AIBN, are much funnier, creative and overall more talented than most of those actually writing, acting, or directing for a living; but fate being what it is have somehow missed the boat. You can fucking take that to the bank.

    Somerichs, Slash Fiction is...

    by big dumb ape

A simple explanation from Wikipedia...Slash fiction is a genre of fan fiction that focuses on the depiction of romantic or sexual relationships between characters of the same sex. While the term was originally restricted to stories in which male media characters were involved in an explicit adult relationship as a primary plot element, it is now often used to refer to any fan story containing a pairing between same-sex characters, although many fans distinguish the female-focused variety as a separate genre commonly referred to as "femslash." The characters are usually not engaged in such relationships in their respective fictional universes. The majority of slash fiction writers are believed to be heterosexual females. It is commonly believed that current slash fan fiction originated within the Star Trek: The Original Series fan fiction fandom, with "Kirk/Spock" stories – generally authored by female fans of the series – first appearing in the late 1970s.The name arises from the use of the slash symbol (/) in mentions in the late '70s of K/S (meaning stories where Kirk and Spock had a romantic (and often sexual) relationship) as compared to the ampersand (&) conventionally used for K&S or Kirk and Spock friendship fiction.

Slash writers are twats who violate copyright

    by feralangel

Slash writers get off on putting straight characters into homo-erotic situations - hence the illicit "thrill". It doesn't matter to them which characters or what genre - they'll use characters from Buffy or Winnie the Pooh, whatever, and they REALLY get their jollies by writing/drawing their sludge and then posting it online where kids are sure to see it. Reminds me of this gift shop I worked at for awhile; there was this one customer who got off on putting copies of Playboy magazine in the kids' comics rack. I finally called security on him when I got tired of moving the damn magazine back to the upper shelves. Hope to god that shit head never actually hurt any real kids. Anyway, what's even worse with slashers is that even when creators protest when their copyrighted properties are abused by these people, the slashers screech "fair use" and claim their "work" is actually a "tribute" to the creation. There was a story in my local paper about Butch Hartman, creator of the Fairly Oddparents, having to chase slashers off his website message board. Like I said, slash writers = twats.
