There's no way it can make up for the crash and burn that was season four of BSG. It became so obvious during season four (and the last half of season three) that they had no idea how they were going to sum up all those cliffhangers they set up in the first season. Moore is a great writer but he wrote himself into about eight corners. Oh, and nice boobs.

...I am not among the very vocal detractors of Day Break and season 4.5 (with the exception of 4x16 Deadlock). I was very pleased with the way the series ended, and thought it hit all the right notes.

I'm obsessed with her. She never looked hot on BSG, or rarely at least, but her google Inge search results are fucking victorious. Excited for The Plan. BSGs ending was wonderful IMO, anyone who disagrees is a crybaby who didn't really uderstan what the show was about to begin with.

Just for me personally, after the brilliant start of Season 1, I found Season 2 after the first half poor, Season 3 mediocre at best and poor at worst and Season 4 mostly unwatchable. The ending actually went as far as to greatly offend me, since all through mankind's history there's always been some people who have tried to fight and preserve knowledge from destruction even at the risk of their lives. So, I didn't buy the ending at all.

Enjoyed The Plan a lot - but it is more nostalgic then anything else, mainly a different road on a familar journey. Does give further proof that Grace Park and Tricia Helfer can act rings around most women on TV. -

in some archive footage. Quite a good bit of archive footage in BSG:The Plan which I guess some of will be edited out for the tv version - heard it will be shorter than the dvd/blu-ray. Shame though as it really helps in setting the scenes - only on one or two minor occasions did it seem forced. Quite a good movie for what it is. Oh yeah good amount of boobies too like the Caprica pilot.

It was 50% stuff we've seen before, with odd bits of new stuff here & there which didn't really add anything & absolutely no new action scenes.
I noticed the Mr Nice gaius reference though. & the gratuitous cock shot (not so sure it was "flacid" though. I reckon he'd been rubbing on it for a few secs before they shouted "action", just for ego's sake). But who wouldn't?
Or maybe it was just the excitement of being the first BSG semi? -
Both extremes are unhealthy, but if it came down to it I'd pick the former, in all its big-headed glory. Especially in this day and age in America where obesity runs rampant. Of course, a normal well proportioned body is better, and a chick with a fit body trumps all imo.

I was at a Creation Entertainment con last year, and she came into the ladies' room same time as I did. Didn't know who she was at the time, then saw the poster later near her autograph station. I thought the end of the series was a letdown but this...the acting , the writing, the dialogue...I felt like I was watching that weird improv session in ang lee's the Hulk...where no one was saying anything important just speaking in vague terms. Lots of nudity also with a nice shot of a penis...moved this crap into pretentious crap. This should not be included in any future box sets cuz it will sully the series. There is nothing new in this..

It was such a let down. Just cobbled together bits of old episodes, with a couple more scenes added. Not terrible, but not worth the price of a DVD.
It reminded me of those old "best of" sitcom episodes. Like on Happy Days or something, when they'd film new bits of people sitting around talking, like "Remember when we did this?..." & it would fade into an old clip.

there was one good line. The jacket joke. The rest was pretty crap.
I think this might have worked if they'd made it before the show was finished,just before "Daybreak" for example. It might have been cool to see the Cylon perspective, then have everything tied up at the end. It would fit nicely.
I hate saying something bad about BSG. It's my favourite show. But, as a DVD movie, it was just cheap & some scenes were pretty dire.
The only interesting part was the young boy. Just the way it was filmed made me think of the "angels" or "in-heads" or whatever you wanna call them. Then his name was given as "John", which I believe is Cavill's name.
Not sure if that was intentionally ambiguous, or if I'm reading too much into it. But that made me think. Other than that, the only talking point is nudity, which is a bad sign. -

But photoshoots of hot women who just happen to appear on TV are not news, so are not relevant to a movie/TV news site and give the impression of sexism. Please, elaborate, exactly which plot holes were they filling with The Plan? Here's the answer: THEY WEREN'T. This is simply another perspective on events that had already happened. In a few cases they actually managed to add additional depth to events we'd already seen. Boomer shooting Adama, for instance. Adama's speech to her immediately prior is that he thanks her for carrying out a mission despite any personal misgivings she might have had. Adama is actually making a snide comment to Apolo who had immediately previously been sent to arrest Roslin for agitating against Adama's rule, and ended up siding with her. The new added subtext is that Boomer herself was resisting orders from Cavil to kill Adama because of her affection and indebtedness to the Old Man, i.e., her _personal misgivings_. Hearing this had special resonance with her, which is why she chose that moment to finally carry out her mission. It's actually quite a brilliant bit of insight retroactively on the part of the writers. Also, I'm fairly certain that there's not a single new second of footage involving James Callis, and that everything we saw is the original footage from season one and two. So, yeah, try again with that "really old" bullshit. I'm not sure if I've ever seen that much cluelessness in a single post before.

On the ComicCon Battlestar panel Olmos suggested that Blade Runner could be viewed as a sequel to Battlestar Galactica, showing a future where humans repeat the same mistakes once again, Cylons now called Replicants. I found this amusing at the time but then I started thinking, they Could make a sequel to Battlestar, distant from the time period of the series but a short time from now where the people of Earth once more create senciant life. Granted you could say this would be just a retread of what was explored in the series but not necessarily. The same situation but a different people, different stories and a different resolution.

The Adama/Greystone parts were outstanding as was Polly Walker, while teen angst stuff missed the mark IMO.In terms of the series, if focus remains on those aforementioned three actors, Caprica has potential. If the show follows the MAD MEN model (i.e corporate/business melee revolving around personal issues), the show should succeed.
